Jesus, True Worship, and Human Identity In Christianity, God exists in a triune nature as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Through this, the Son, Jesus Christ was born. Jesus was sent as a human to bring the spirit of God down to earth as a savior for humanity. Jesus was soon betrayed by His own people which resulted in His crucifixion. This ultimate sacrifice represented the eternal love God had for His people. The resurrection of Jesus lifted His spirit and allowed humankind to worship Christ, experiencing His glory. Understanding the identity of Jesus is essential to developing a personal relationship with God. The legacy of Christ remains the standard for humankind to live in accordance to. This paper analyzes the life of Jesus Christ and the impact His image had on the human race for the past, present, and future.
Jesus and the Trinity
The doctrine of the Trinity affirms the idea that God is one person in three different forms: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each form has their own personal existence however, each share the same divine nature making them one being. This means that Jesus is the form of God as the Son. Through Jesus, God came down to earth showing His

Through His life and death humanity experienced the word of God. This revealed that humans should live in a way that was considered similar to Christ. Since Christ died as a commitment to man, one should show the love of Christ to others. By loving one’s neighbor and fulfilling the law, one is honoring the death of Jesus. Displaying Christly love is important due to the fact that God loved humans first (Clairvaux, 2014). God did not set a boundary or limit for love. God loved human beings freely, even when they betrayed Him. Therefore, anyone who honors the death of Christ shall not perish as they experience the everlasting love of God (Clairvaux, 2014). This shows that through Christ humankind was restored for
Throughout history, there is a copious amount of notable figures who were able to change the world around them. Jesus Christ, after his crucifixion, left an imprint on the human race with the establishment of Christianity and the spread of his beliefs through his followers. His accomplishments that were recorded in the Gospels will continue through the ages, spreading his wisdom and way of thinking. Even though it would beneficial for believers to truly fathom his significance to history and the human soul, challenges ascend that hold its effectiveness back.
The book has given special treatment to Christ, who, in this case, is the main determinant of political, legal and the national limits on the value of the human person, both
Jesus' death was an act of love that represents his final testimony to his trust in the faithful and loving God he proclaimed as his father.
"The trinity refers to the Godhead, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ who is fully God and fully man), and God the Holy Spirit, three persons, same substance, one God" (Lecture 4, 2017). God is the person who came to Earth, sacrificed himself for every person's sins so everyone can have the choice to live with him again. God has many characteristics. The main one that comes to many people's minds is His love for everyone. In Genesis 1:27 (ESV) it says that man was created in God's image.
The foundation of the Christian faith is cradled within truth of the virgin birth, life, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As diverse as the world-wide Christian culture is, the truth in the birth and life of Jesus stands without border and language limitations. Just as each individual life story can be adapted to be relevant for a variety of audiences, the birth story of the Messiah was also. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke are an example of the well-rounded and diverse narration of the birth story of Jesus—Matthew’s narration spoke to the history of the Jewish people and Luke presented to the citizen of Rome.
The definition of the Trinity according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary is “the unity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as three persons in one Godhead according to Christian dogma.” The basis of the Trinity is that there is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There are three separate parts, yet they make up one. While this is confusing to the naked ear, it actually makes logical sense on a deeper level. Scholars and philosophers struggled for years to give a valid explanation of the Trinity. It was not until Tertullian in the 2nd or 3rd century AD that a satisfactory explanation was given. Tertullian came up with the Trinitarian Doctrine, which basically
It is possible to write on the life of Jesus from the information gathered from the bible. I will be dividing my essay into three parts. In the first part of the paper, I will talk about the nature of the gospels, John’s views vs. the Synoptic, discuss if the authors of the gospels are eyewitnesses and how they used written sources. Also I will talk about the Q source. Then I will elaborate on the topic of how Matthew and Luke were similar. Then I will continue on by discussing how the Old Testament uses Moses, Samuel and Elijah to interpret Jesus, and finally whether or not the Sermon on the Mount happened. In the second part of my paper, I will talk about Jesus’s birth and childhood, his miracles, his resurrection, and what Jesus did to cure people, spirits and how they are interpreted to the prophet, magician and the mad man compared to Saul and Elijah. The final part of the paper I will talk about what Jesus talked about as regards to the Kingdom of God vs. the Kingdom of the Romans and what he intended by speaking of the end of the world. I will also speak of the reasons behind the Romans executing him. My sources for this paper will be the New Jerusalem Bible Readers edition as my primary source and lecture notes from Professor Trumbach.
The doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of Incarnation are overlapping systems or regulations for viewing and interpreting one being, that is, God. The doctrine of the Trinity focuses on God as three persons in one substance while the doctrine of Incarnation focuses on the natures of the Son. The doctrine of the Trinity focuses on the divinity and perichoretic nature of God, while the doctrine of Incarnation focuses on God entering humanity to bring salvation with only the Son being incarnate. Both doctrines have borders and going past them would lead to heresy.
I will like to crave your indulgence to the fact that "Nicene concept of Trinity" is never stated in the Bible, and it is that early Christians as well as the scriptures clearly points out the fact that Jesus was fully divine and pre-existent. For the fact that, none of the early Christian theologians fully asserted the doctrine of the Trinity, not even a speculation about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. According to the father of the paganism description of Trinity "God can in no way be described." (Schindler 148).
It is important to begin by stating that there are many different doctrinal views of the Trinity. However I believe that the doctrine of Trinity defines one God who is eternally existent as three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. “These definitions express three crucial truths: (1) The Father, Son, and
The Father: I AM that I AM. The first person of the Trinity: holy and eternal. He is the front of Deity (autotheos). He has no source but Himself, He is utterly transcendent and unknowable: “No man can come to the Father…” The Father is the ultimate source of the Godhead and of all things. The Son: The Word of the Father. He is the second Person (hypostasis) of the Trinity. He is eternally begotten of the Father, He is not made, “Begotten, not made.” His source is the Father’s Person (hypostasis), so he is not Deity (autotheos), but Divine. His divinity is inherited from the Father, despite having a source, He has always been. He never not existed. He was brought to the earth and carried by the Virgin Mary after she was filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was fully human and fully God, two natures in one person: a hypostatic union. He was killed and resurrected, conquering Death forever. He sits at the right hand of the Father, awaiting the day of final judgment. Humans can only approach the Father through the Son. Holy Spirit: The Lord, the giver of life. He is the third Person (hypostasis) of the Trinity. Despite having a source, he has always existed.
Trinity is one God. Each of the persons of the trinity, Father, Son, and Spirit “is God whole and entire”. I believe that the trinity of persons consists of one substance and one essence. Each of the persons is that supreme reality, the divine substance, essence or nature. Each of the three persons are distinct from one another, but known to be related to one another.
The Holy Trinity is composed of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three entities create the overall being of God. In this Jesus plays the role of the Son, but that does not mean he is not also God. Jesus is sent to walk among humankind with the body and life of a simple carpenter’s son, but also to be the physical embodiment of the divine Son. According to Zahniser, it is necessary for Jesus to walk on earth because as the communicator he must become one with those he wishes to communicate with (Zahniser, 1989). For the communication to be
Looking back over the course of history, it is the different attempts by different people especially the theologians to describe who God is, and His role in creation and existence of life that led to the doctrine of the Trinity; by trying to explain God in term of his persona or hypostasis so that we can to an extent understand him, his natures and his ways.
The role of the son or Jesus is the savior and teacher. The role of the Holy Spirit is the empowerer and evangelist. All these roles combined equal a mystical element that describes the Trinity or another name is Godhead. To understand the Trinity, God is the sun that shines while Jesus is the rays of the sun and the Holy Spirit is the warmth that is felt from the sun. All personalities are equal and combined together called the Trinity.
