Hello I am Samantha Kennelly, I go to St. John XXIII College Preparatory, for high school. Through out my high school career I discovered three important characteristic about myself: humility, creativity, and leadership. I discovered my humility in my acts of kindness towards others, whether it is raising money for a disabled child to have a semester free of therapeutic horse riding or teaching summer school students how to read, write, and do math. Creativity in my love and appreciation for the arts and being in an independent film along with being accepted into distinguished art for my last year of high school. Lastly, leadership because I took initiative and I went to my school administration and requested a math teacher when we had not
I am currently a year 11 students at Beauchamp College. I believe myself to be a dedicated, self-motivated as well as a confident person. I can complete tasks on my own but I can also work well as part of a team. More over I cope extremely well under pressure and always aspire to do everything to the best of my ability. Whilst I have clear objectives, I also take in advice and use it to better my self as a person.
High school is an important time for developing a sense of who you are as a person. Each kid who starts out high school will usually asks themselves what they are there to accomplish. For the most part, many set personal goals for themselves and strive to achieve above and beyond. However, some are just there for the experience and to see where it takes them. It’s apparent that some kids have an easier time and don’t have to struggle with their high school career. For example, some of the students have followed strong academic paths that have prepared them for this time in their lives, where as others have struggled with educational influences and feel unprepared or lost. Swerdlow mentions that the students, who attend J.E.B. Stuart, are given many chances to improve their educational foundation in order to
maintains its prestigious status are my persistence, ambition, compassion, and my strong-willed personality. When I set a goal for myself or the organizations that I am involved in, I ensure we reach that goal. I never give up, persevering through obstacles in my way. I have a strong drive to succeed. I hold my goals and the activities that I am involved in very close to my heart. I make each and everything I submit to a priority. I make sure my peers and I are all striving and succeeding together. I hold myself and everyone I work with accountable. Lastly, one thing I make sure I incorporate into my daily life is community service. I love giving back and helping those in different communities. Community service is something I do in my spare time. Showing people in the world that there is someone out there that cares about them and their well-being warms my heart. I can add to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. in a positive way with my
I have found my niche in high school. I have chosen to take every AP or honors course that I can fit into my schedule, and I taken advantage of leadership opportunities. However my world was far from perfect.
I would say I am not very different then most of the students that sit before you everyday. I have hobbies I enjoy and favorite places to eat, but unlike them I have some traits that make me standout from the rest. Allow me to elaborate, I was born in Sebastian, Florida where I was exposed to a lot of different cultures and people. Going through elementary school I got to learn quite a bit about the wildlife in our area, and that is where I gained my love for animals. However, as I grew up I began to take interest in many different subjects like video games or soccer. These activities made me the person I am today, but also take up a majority of my free time. During high school I was a straight “A” student who joined several clubs and committed to several volunteer opportunities. I graduated top ten percent of my class, and applied at several colleges, but laid eyes on F.I.T the most due to my major of Computer Science. In all this short summary of my life may help you better understand the reason behind why I chose the following proposal.
For scholarship I Also I get good grades and try to be good role model. For example, I took and passed my Global Regents as a Freshmen because I showed readiness by consistently participating and showing good work ethics. Even though I wasn’t in the honors class I felt ready to face the challenge as a Freshmen. What made me want to take to take this exam was to prove it doesn’t matter if you’re in the honors class or not just work hard. I’ve talked to the current and the upcoming freshmen about negative and positive things I went through as freshmen so they don’t make the same mistakes I did or so that they can do the same positive things I did. For leadership, I participate in class and encourage my peers to do the same. I help make sure my peers comprehend what we have learned. In sports, I push my teammates to get better but have fun at the same time. I start practices when my coach is running late and when my coach is out talking to someone I continue the practice. For service, I and my Mosque went out on August 17, 2017, and collect cans of food and a collection for $350 and sent it to Sierra Leone because of the flood /mudslide and for the people who lost their homes and family. We also ran a food drive to give back to the community and helped the homeless. For character, I show all the five words Integrity, Leadership, Courage, Curiosity, Concern and also Brother’s
The characteristics of outstanding scholarship, leadership, character, service and citizen definitely apply to me as an individual. The characteristics of outstanding scholarship apply to me as an individual because I have maintained a 4.0 grade point average for the first two trimesters and will continue to maintain a 4.0 grade point average. The characteristics of excellent citizenship relate to me because I have never gotten suspended, expelled, or a detention and have never had excessive tardiness. Not to mention, I demonstrate participation and involvement in all my classes. I display outstanding character because I show the highest standards of honesty and reliability and I consistently exemplify desirable
A path that led to this school, and the amazing experiences and opportunities I had and will continue to have throughout my last year here. Here is the place I’ve learn to lead in a classroom, develop my academic skills, and succeed in continuing my mission of helping others. I’ve grown into a woman with her own ideals and own convictions, which I just now realized has always been my goal in life. What I major in, what job I have, and who I marry will not confine my person to live a life where having one experience is
Hi, I'm Grace Grothe, I'm a junior at Danville High School, and I live in Danville, Iowa. I currently work at Dairy Queen in Burlington. I am the youngest of three kids, but I am the only one living with my parents currently because my brother is married, and my sister currently goes to the U of I. My sister and I barrel race throughout the summer, and we have had horses in the family my whole life. After high school I plan on going to college at the U of I like my sister, and I would like to go into dentistry. I am in three sports, which include basketball, volleyball, and track, so I spend most of my school year in the gym, or on the track.
“Treat others how you would like to be treated.” This was one of my sister’s favorite sayings when I was growing up. There were a few sayings that she quoted to me all the time, but I know this by far was her favorite. She was the type of person that would stand up for others no matter the situation, to treat every human being with the dignity and respect they deserve. Throughout her life, she demonstrated her belief through her actions.

Milton Academy creates individuals of excellence in the disciplines of academics, athletics, and the arts. I am applying to Milton Academy to receive an exceptional education. Most of my time there would be spent in an academic environment. I would contribute positively to my classrooms by arriving prepared to participate, advance discussions, and exchange ideas. I have done well academically in the past and intend to continue throughout high school. If I do not grasp ideas immediately, I have the humility to ask for help and self-discipline to spend the time necessary to master them. Milton academics will be challenging. I aim to become a role model for persistence, ability and accomplishment.
Currently, as a junior, I feel that the past three of high school have tremendously shaped my character. Arriving at the doorsteps of Manatee High School, I knew little of leadership, or service. To me, high school was and still is a journey. I've learned to give back to those who have helped me. Through various extracurricular activities, I've not only learned to be a team member, but a leader as well.
Apart from me as a scholar, I think me as a person is also important to my high school career. One thing that has helped me become a good person this football. We practice football and good character as it is the same thing. One thing I have mastered this year was integrity. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. Integrity has been one of the most important things in my life. It has become ingrained in my daily life. I have integrity in my words, such as following through on my promises. I also have integrity in my actions, like in April someone dropped their wallet and they didn’t notice, but I did and instead of keeping the wallet to myself, I decided to give it back because that was the right thing to do. My daily decisions
