The online Jung Typology Test was a very interesting exercise. The test pointed out certain things about my personality type that I will be examining in the course of this class. It may give me some important insights into my personal and professional decisions about family, career and life. I have worked in municipal government for over 38 years. I have done budgets, human resources, and day to day supervision of several city departments. The majority of that time has been within management of two major international airports. In that time I managed employees, and I was managed by executive level leadership. Employee supervision was a great learning experience. I supervised employees who came to work to do their jobs, and other subordinates …show more content…
These week 1 presentations, readings and personality test and links provided will have an impact on my understanding of management and leadership personality types. My preconceived understanding of management and leadership are based on my experience as a manager in two different governmental organizations as well as a brief career doing consulting work in the private sector. In the following pages I will attempt to look at how my management and leadership experiences are reflected in my personality type from the test. The test determined that my personality type is (I)ntroverted, I(N)tuitive, (F)eeler, (J)udger, and in the coming weeks, I hope to find out if that assessment is accurate for me in my personal and professional relationships. According to Type talk at work INFJs tend to be “…inward, meditative and reflective (Introversion)…and there perception of life is to see endless possibilities…(iNtuition).” The text goes on to say that these “… symbols and abstractions are translated through …subjective , interpersonal decision –making preference (Feeling).” which is in turn “…acted out in a lifestyle that is structured, scheduled and …show more content…

The Jungian 16 Type Personality Test is a form of personality analysis that helps you determine your preferred personality type. You know – how you usually act, react, make decisions, and go about your normal day.
Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling.
Hello, I’m Joshua Dudley and the results I got for my Jung Typology Test was on point for the kind of person I am. In the Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test my letters were ENFJ. ENFJs are the benevolent 'pedagogues' of humanity. They have tremendous charisma by which many are drawn into their nurturant tutelage and/or grand schemes. Many ENFJs have tremendous power to manipulate others with their phenomenal interpersonal skills and unique salesmanship (butt). All of the letters have different meanings. (E)- Extravert (34%), (N)- iNtuitive (9%), (F)- Feeling (19%), and (J)- Judging (28%) and these for letters ENFJ make up the type of person I am. I also had to find a two letter temperament for my personality. The two Letters I think that fit me is (NF)- “The Idealists” which my primary
From the first survey, Jung Typology Test, I figured out that my personality type is ENTJ. ENTJ stands for Extravert, iNtuitive, Thinking, and Judging. It means that I am outgoing, rational, and perceptive. Prior to this test, I only have a slight idea that I might be confidence, logical, and have a talent in management. After taking the test, I got confirmed that I am indeed the type of person I think I would be. In addition, the extra links under the result gave me information about what potential occupations I could take in the future by giving me a thorough interpretation of what ENTJ really means. Honestly, I am going through a time of struggling: I am not sure about my major and what I could be at the career fair. Although I vaguely think that I may want to be a manager working in the technology-related areas. The result tells me that I am suitable for managing resources in companies as well as one of
Upon completing the Jungian Typology task I feel much more strongly about my ability to understand myself personally. I was considered to be a mediator, which in simple form is someone who always searches for the light in the dark and endeavor to make the best out of even the worst situations. Mediators are considered to be calm in terms of behavior, reserved regarding opening up to strangers and expressing themselves, as well as shy in some situations where a high level of reserve is present. According to 16personalities.com "When deciding how to move forward, they will look to honor, beauty, morality, and virtue", meaning mediators lead with trust, see the best in everyone regardless of their background, and respect everyone equally. In terms of the assessment regarding how productive I am, I received a score of 53 signifying my productivity techniques are efficient enough to complete whatever task I have present in the appropriate time frame
According to the Jung Typology test I am a INTJ: introverted, intuitive, thinking, and judging. For the most part I agree with my results. I tend to be introverted and have little to no patience for “beating around the bush” in a conversation as the test says. An INTJ also refers to work alone and one they lose respect for someone it is difficult to work with them. One small aspect I disagree with of the results that people in this category often disregard authority, and I will not do this unless it is absolute necessary. I am a firm believer in the philosophy that even if you do not respect the person, you should respect the position.
The continued growth of social media has explicitly put us, the user, in a position to be highly exposed to the availability of information in an instantaneous manner. As a result, we have the tendency to aimlessly click through links and news posts that are displayed on the social media websites. From posts of your neighbor’s dog to your uncle’s crazy night in town, there are interesting subjects that face your social media timeline, none more interesting than the “personality” quizzes that promise reliable/accurate results. Upon taking these quizzes, you may notice that the questions it prompts present a very repetitive and generalized feel. In the case that you may actually want to figure out a reliable method to uncover your overall personality traits, the Jung Typology test
After taking the Jung Typology Test, and receiving my results, I found that my results didn’t reflect anything overwhelmingly surprising about me. For the most part, I had anticipated these results.
The Humanmetrics Jung Typology Test conformed profile is ENFJ in the following order Extravert (25%) intuitive (22%) Feeling (3%) Judging (22%); this interprets to mean that in both business and school, I can be described as a transformational leader. This is so because I am quite passionate about what I do and also I have been told by my colleagues severally that I have a unique charisma that is infectious and gets people to do what they should do. I agree with these results and as of today, I am yet to see any differences compared to who I was 3 weeks ago. For example, I use motivation to provide leadership for my team. What’s more; I take pride in the provision of leadership for others – something that I have experienced since my elementary years, I have always been elected the head/leader at school and at work.
The Jung Typology Test provided information that was, for the most part, expected. These results do seem to be an accurate depiction of my personality. This said, my belief is that the results could change depending on who I associate with at the time. This is perhaps the reason why the percentages are fairly low on the final report.
This week’s assignment will focus on Myers-Briggs personality test, which will include results from the Jung typology test. I have learned that my Jung Typology results is a ENTJ which put me in the Executive type of leadership position. ENTJ I will discuss ENTJ personality as a whole and the meaning of each letter within the results. Finally I will touch up on what I have learned as a whole and how to improve myself within my organization.
My reaction to the “Jung Typology Test” is that it was fairly accurate. I took the Myers-Briggs test last semester for one of my classes and I got the same results. I thought that the test was very simple. However, I thought that some of the questions on the test were a little tricky to answer because I went both ways on it. Some of them were similar to each other with little variations, so it was hard to answer. Overall, I believe that the findings were true to my personality because I can relate to all the letters very well. They truly describe the type of person I am.
Each of the 16 personality types provides insight into the expressiveness of an individual and identifies core characteristics. This identification can help in establishing an association between personality type and occupational interests—for instance, those described as ENFJ (Extraverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Judging) are regarded as having “tremendous entrepreneurial abilities” (Humanmetrics, 2016). Administered in combination with a career assessment such as the O*Net Interest Profiler, the Jung Typology Test can help to form a correlation between this type of described occupational characteristic and career-related
As a future manager, it is important to understand how my personality can affect my specific role, my co-workers, and the success of the organization. This paper explores my personality style according to the Myer-Briggs personality test. I explored how each of the letters represents my personality as Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, and Judging (ISFJ). I have presented how each of these letters makes up my personality by providing personal and work experiences with a focus on my weaknesses. I have been able to better assess my worldview perspective under the Covenant model of Organizational behavior. Furthermore, I have explored what I learned to better understand how I fit in my organization and my role as an administrative assistant. By
Growing up, my mother always taught myself and my brother that life is what we make it and you get out what you out into the world. Having good morals and good intentions has always been the framework in which I have stood tall on and lived by. It is in many ways, my worldview. One I believe has been embattled in me so much, that in some ways, it shows in my actions, temperament, and the way that handle all things in my life.
