Unlike the assignment suggested I did not pursue an informal interview with a company or organization I’m interested in working for someday far in my future career. Instead I looked to the graduate school I’m planning on applying to after finishing my undergrad here at the University of Minnesota. Specifically with Kathleen Hughes, a very successful brilliant faculty member of the University’s dental school. She is also my boss as well as on the board of admissions. It’s funny, I actually looked her up and conducted research prior to interviewing with her for my position as an office admin and her assistant. She is the Dental Schools Clinical Systems director, and while I plan on actually getting my DDS which is different than what she does,
On 11/23/16 I met Mr. Westover and his daughter Jackie Syms. Mr. Westover has made good progress with the continued physical therapy. He has resumed driving locally. Mr. Westover reported he had been in the hospital for 5 days recently for pneumonia. He is not using his cane now unless it is slick outside. He reports still feeling weak in the left leg. The Neurontin did work but Mr. Westover reported he stopped taking it and feels fine. Per Ms. Syms Mr. Westover’s PCP has him taking the blood thinner again. Mr. Westover agreed to take it until January 2017. Mr. Westover asked to have his home physical therapy continue, he doesn’t want to drive on winter roads. I started off the interview by getting to know a little bit more about Schelzia. She received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University which is a private Christian university and a nationally raked research institution, located in Texas. She also received her graduate degree in educational administration from Texas A&M University. When she moved out to Wisconsin, she applied to UW-Waukesha and has been working in her current position for almost two years. She applied to this position because one thing that peaks her interest is student retention.
The professional I selected to interview was Victoria Sanders. I chose to interview this professional because I admire the work she does. I am still not sure what I want to do with my MFC when I obtain it, but for now I would like to work with children victims of abuse and families. I want to help children with their trauma and help them grow in a positive manner. Children are the future generation therefore they need all the support and understanding they can get. I gain a sense of happiness and fulfillment when I work with children. I have previous experience working with children and I enjoyed every opportunity. Children are fun, happy and love to play. I wouldn’t mind having a career where all I do is play. In the beginning I want to focus on that population and then explore out. One of my overall goals is to own my own practice and give back to the community.

I choose to use my older sister,Chioma, for this assignment because I felt like she was the perfect candidate to explain what she does. I decided to call my sister and ask if she was available to help on November 1,2017. I said my name and explained why I thought she my best resource.She came up with an idea that we could actually meet up at a private place so that I can be interviewed. We scheduled to meet up on a Sunday because it was basically the only day we were both free. She choose one of the officesses that she worked at earlier in the year; and thought that 2:00 pm was a reasonable time.That following Sunday we meet up and was dressed in formal attire. I interviewed a young lady on SUNY Old Westbury campus named Tenesha. She was a Hispanic female, age 25, who is a Graduate Student studying Child Psychology. She desires to work in a school with children ranging from 6 to 12 years old. She’s inspired to help the youth understand the essential psychological needs of children and adolescents, the substances of their environment, help establish a connect with children who needs to social breakthrough with where their backgrounds and emotional acclimations, aid to the behavior concerns of children and provide counseling to assist them as they transition in school.
Since the degree I am pursuing in Healthcare Business Informatics is a relatively new degree I decided to interview Rebecca Stimpson. Rebecca Stimpson is my advisor as well as the Medical Office Administrations Instructor. She has a Bachelor of Science Business Education Information Technology and a Master of Science Vocational Education Information Technology from East Carolina University. I meet with Ms. Stimpson for about 30 minutes in her office on September 1st.

In fact, the incident ignited a passion in Christy Sims, 44, for talking to others about domestic abuse violence. Since surviving the attack, Christy Sims founded the Christy Sims Foundation, which is a nonprofit organization to end domestic abuse through awareness and education.
The nurse manager I selected to interview is a Baccalaureate degree nurse and has attended several in-house training sessions related to her position within the hospital. She attended Lenoir Rhyne University to obtain her BSN and has been employed with the institution for 13 years and has been in nursing for nearly 20 years. She is currently certified as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and is also a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. The Hospital that she is employed with is a private hospital she manages a 15 bed emergency department and 6 bed express care facility, which also holds several involuntary commitments for several hours at a time waiting on placement.
