In order for new organizational strategies to be implemented successfully, effective leadership is required to rejuvenate the organization and assist employees with adapting to a changing environment. Successful implementation of the organization’s new vision requires management to provide a “big picture” to their employees, “as well as all of the sequential steps that lead to it” (Wharton Executive Education, (2010). Additional strategies that can help management with introducing organizational changes is making sure that the employees are knowledgeable “about the policies, obligations , rules and a detailed structure of the organizational changes which are to be implemented.” (Organizational Change Management – Strategies for Implementing Organizational change. (N.D.), and changes that may impact their individual responsibilities. By doing so, managers can effectively dismiss the feeling of insecurity and uneasiness among employees.
Implement Organizational Change For organizational change to be implemented successfully, it is imperative for management to understand that each stage requires a solution approach in order for effective systems and process to be put into practice. Devising a implementation strategy will provide management with an extensive view and meticulous understanding of the implementation process; which will in turn lead to making better informed decisions “efficiently and effectiveness.” Following are five core areas where implementation should initiate:
1) Strategy Implementation Model: Equip the organization to adapt to change by developing a model of appropriate structures, objectives, controls, integration mechanisms, and incentives for implementing the strategy.

One of the things is that something might look good on paper can have drawbacks that are not realized by the planners, but can be easily identified by the employees who must implement the change. Change is difficult for most people and managing through the change process is not an easy task. Many theories on managing change exist, but they basically have four elements: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation (Sullivan & Decker, 2009). A manager’s role is to examine each of these elements and apply them to the people that he or she leads.
It is the execution of strategies and policies through programs, budgets and procedures to reach its goals. In this process plans are assigned, costs are allocated to tasks for better measurement of return on investment. The firm’s resources are used and a detailed system is given on how to perform specific jobs. This strategy turns strategies into concrete results and helps implement changes that are documented for future references. It also provides good measurements of projects with a time frame. It gives employees a clear step by step on how to perform their day-to-day tasks that will improve overall efficiency and sets the tone for quality work in all levels of management.
The implementation section outlines the organizational structure of the business unit and its relationship with collaborators. It will define the business processes involved in implementing the strategies and tactics of the company. It will also outline the implementation schedule.
Week 3, the lecture on Managing Change describes organizational changes that occur when a company makes a shift from its current state to some preferred future state. Managing organizational change is the process of planning and implementing change in organizations in such a way as to decrease employee resistance and cost to the organization while concurrently expanding the effectiveness of the change effort. Today's business environment requires companies to undergo changes almost constantly if they are to remain competitive. Students of organizational change identify areas of change in order to analyze them. A manager trying to implement a change, no matter how small, should expect to encounter some resistance from within the organization.
The purpose of this paper is to discuss organizational change and the management of that change. I will talk about the different drivers of change, the factors a leader needs to weigh to implement change effectively, the various resistances a leader may encounter while trying to implement change, and how various leadership styles will effect the realization of change. I will also discuss the knowledge I have gained through the completion of this assignment and how I think it might affect the way I manage change in my workplace.
