Findings and analysis from the reports provided including the main areas that engage students and the main areas that do not.
According to McMahon the biggest advantage of learning online is that students can do it on their own time and at their own pace. My finding and analysis on the Course Activity Overview proves that point. The report shows that Student X and Z were big weekend users. They accessed the LMS more hours on the weekend than during the week. Student Y did most of their work on Tuesday and barely accessed the course work during the week. The student with the most hours, mainly on Saturday, logged in 91 times while the student with the least amount of hours still logged in 48 times. The assignments got a lot of

It is unclear if students actually need all the functions and features available in today’s LMS. What are the functions and features that matter the most, and that are used most commonly by the students? (Meyer, 2012) One of the changes that would enhance the student experience would be for students to have the capability to upload videos or on the discussion board if students are on simultaneously, they should gave the capability to go live and interact with each other. This would definitely stimulate their learning and be engaging. In addition, students would not feel so isolated when working.
Another way to engage students would be to have video chats or have a live session with the instructor, like we did in this class. Although I could not make the second one (I just forgot), the first one was very information and gave me clarity on what I need to do.
The online environment is very inclusive. You have everything you need at your fingertips, including your grades and academic portfolio. This future wave will see many more traditional classes going to virtual school or having classes on learning management systems. Finding out what will engage learners and support stakeholders and instructors will certainly improve the interaction between the student and their particular platform.

What effect did your teaching strategies have in terms of promoting student learning and keeping your students meaningfully engaged? (APS 5.A–C)
Looking back from when I began my career, I can say I came a long way learning the concepts of understanding the expectations that arose from all my positions. In my first job just after graduating, I was appointed as a Business Accountant of a multinational company. Since then, I was caught in the myth that people who were in leadership positions or high ranking were leaders. Being in a junior position, I could have the least effect on any new ideas as my voice seems to have landed in deaf ears. I have seen how those businesses were not in line with their Missions and Values only to find later that many of the staff had left the company.
Topic 3: IMSA seeks a talented, engaged student population that embodies a wide range of experiences; we believe that the diversity of our students makes our community stronger. What do you see as the most valuable aspect(s) of living, learning, and collaborating within a diverse setting? (300-500 words)
If you have the drive to succeed, you can get just as much out of the online education as you can from a normal classroom.
strategies and learning tasks to re-engage students (including what you and the students will be doing)
I will try to engage students with a story to start the lesson, which will focus their learning (Moitra, 2014). For example, introducing the lesson on alcohols by recounting their use in our daily life and why they are used in those situations. This engagement allows connection to their lives, they start the class by realising what you are saying to them is important and you are worth listening to (Makodia, 2009). This needs to be told with enthusiasm and passion to show that what you are saying is exciting and fascinating. This will require a range of tone and pace to allow the students to feel like they are hearing an interesting story. Through using gestures and walking around the class I can engage all students by allowing them to follow
My learning challenge in HI150 is ICD-10. I have a hard time with putting the codes in order and sometimes even knowing what to look up in the index. I love ICD-9 after messing around in the ICD-10 books. I'm hoping the more I use the ICD-10 books, it's going to help me overcome the issues I'm having. ICD-10 is the material I'm struggling with, I think the only way to overcome the challenge is just to keep trying and practicing til I get it better.
My organization uses an LMS to help teachers and students in the teaching and learning process. Teachers have the possibility not only to create lesson plans and quizzes but also to communicate with each other and with students and parents. Also, it can create a networking connection. “The functionality available in today’s learning management systems can help teachers create lessons and resources that engage their students, and deliver personalized learning” (Kilfoyle, 2015).
When teaching students (following an initial student assessment) I plan various methods to ensure all students are engaged within the learning process. This can be practical involvement, paired and group work, problem solving, reflection and writing notes. During this time, I am able to continually assess the learning progress through observation, written and oral questions, completion of work books and by using peer and self- assessment. I engage the students by using various mediums, video

People can take online courses these days. It is a chance for most people to get online courses on their own place. Students have the capacity to look over many diverse programs that would help them with their needs. Nowadays, most of the programs are available online from each department like business, management, and information technology. Additionally, students can browse different sorts of degree. The online courses have lower costs since they do not buy textbooks; they can downloads all assignments and all different materials that are required for their classes. Another benefit of these online classes is saving time since students do not have to attend classes, so they might have more time to do their assignments and study. Online classes evacuate the anxiety by permitting learners to study when it is helpful for most learners would like to study at different time. Likewise, students at schools have to take their exams and quizzes on the day their instructor planned for , but
Technology is changing every aspect in our lives, even the way we learn. Online classes are a rapidly growing trend it today’s society. Online classes are a cost-effective substitute for traditional courses and more convenient for many, so more schools and universities are offering this option. Due to the increase in online course enrollment, people are questioning if students truly learn something from online classes because it’s not a traditional learning environment. Online classes are just, if not more, effective as traditional classes because grades have increased and online discussions provide students with the chance to interact through networking while earning a degree for less than what it would cost to enroll at the same university.
My observations has taught me the importance of engaging students. I am now able to recognize when a student is not engaged. They seem distracted and are not paying attention to what the teacher is saying. Whereas an engaged student is alert, discussing the material, and asking questions
Most students find courses online better than in-class learning. Now even some schools are saying yes to online learning! It is a big money saver because the school or college will not have to employ thousands of
