This is an argument about how dieting makes people fat because people lose those carbohydrates stored in the muscles and liver as glycogen. Studies show that low carb diets reduce the appetite, have fewer calories, and lose weight effortlessly as long as it manages to keep those carbohydrates down. The meaning of this topic is to work on not getting really sick while on a diet, dieting affects what kind of activities we’re doing in our everyday lives. Another reason why this topic is interesting is because of how the body works and reacts to this epidemic. So-called yo-yo dieting, losing weight, putting it back on, losing it again and so on is bad for health (Looks et al.). If it suddenly reduces food intake, body, because it is designed for survival, will slow down the metabolic rate in order to store energy more efficiently (Looks et al.). This is why people on a diet crave snacks like chocolate, which gives a quick boost to their energy levels, and why weight loss slows down dramatically after the first couple of weeks (Looks et al.). If going on a diet is good for the body to make sure to be extra careful with it. This is why dieting makes people fat, so be careful what and what not to do when going on a diet. Such as eating types of food, weight loss, and working out. Types of food can be healthy like fruits and vegetables. Weight loss can be done by being open-minded about these kinds of things.
