The film “Men of Honor” (Producer George Tillman Jr. , Director Robert Teitel)
contains many examples which exemplify Napoleon Hill’s 17 principles of success. It
was through his philosophy of success that Hill was able to achieve great success at
whatever endeavor he pursued. He formulated this philosophy by interviewing many key
figures of his day including Andrew Carnegie and Franklin Roosevelt. As a result, he
developed an influential book which has inspired people all over the globe to achieve any
goal which their mind can conceive and believe in. The film “Men of Honor” is full of
examples which exemplify Hill’s keys to success and recounts the story of one man’s

Napoleon Hill Analysis
Brashear’s definiteness of purpose was to become a Navy master diver. He had to overcome many trials and tribulations to reach his goal, however eventually he did achieve it. According to Napoleon Hill’s Keys to Success, “Definiteness of purpose is the starting point of all worthwhile achievements. You should have on high, desirable, outstanding goal, and keep it ever before you. You can have many non-conflicting goals which help you to reach your major definite goal. It is advisable to have immediate, intermediate, and distant objectives. When you set a definite major goal, you are apt to recognize that which will help you achieve it. Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, you can achieve-when you have a positive mental attitude and apply it.”

“Scouts Honor” by Avi is a realistic short fiction story about a nine-year-old-boy who is in scouting. In the beginning, the main character and his friends join scouts and they want to be tough and to earn the next rank in boy scouts, but they need to go camping. Soon they talk about going camping and the boys decide to go camping. When they left, they didn't have any experience camping, whatsoever. They go camping without an adult. In the end they try to cross the bridge, but they're scared and they push on. When they reach the other side they find a campsite and try to set up and they don't have enough food so they say that they weren't tough so they go home. Throughout the story the boys were not prepared.
