“The American Dream,” a phrase that every immigrant is familiar with. What that looks like is different to each individual. Often, immigrants come seeking a better life or they are refugees that were forced to leave their country under extenuating circumstances. Such is the case of the Hmong people that emigrated to the United States. This essay examines their culture, their reasons for relocating to the U.S., the cultural conflicts they face, and some solutions for providing Hmong students with the support and resources they need.

My original plan for an internship was to go after a production company that was creating non-fiction film and television. But when discovering Blue Ant Media and their rise to prominence in the Canadian industry it was an opportunity worth looking into. Blue Ant Media became appealing to me because it not only was a content creator in multiple platforms but it also was a distributor of its own content and broadcasted from there location in Toronto. I applied to the internship through the Blue Ant Media website and heard back within a week for a phone interview. The phone interview was in-depth and gave the team an idea of I was and what kind of worker they were taking on. When pursuing this opportunity I made

This fall semester, I carried out an internship in the legal department of El Sol, Jupiter’s Neighborhood Resource Center. I assisted the legal program coordinator in filling out paperwork for clients and sat in on consultations with El Sol’s laborers about immigration and visa status, wage disputes, traffic tickets, and other legal troubles. On my first day, I quickly learned how difficult it is, as a part of a non-profit organization, to give people all the help that they need. Part of El Sol’s mission is to “give services to those in need” and they succeed at that in many ways. For example, El Sol’s School for Parents program taught parents positive reinforcement techniques for disciplining their children, such as praising good behavior and listening to their kids. The program as very well-liked by the participants, who felt that they learned useful lessons through the classes. However, in the legal department, it was more difficult to help people to the full extent of their needs.
'Where do you start with a project like this?' Katie wonders. 'Well', she think. 'I
Similarity in theme and color first drew me to select Elisabeth Condon’s Nocturne (Bob Rauschenberg Gallery) and Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night (Frank 348) for this research paper. Initially I wanted to pick two pieces that were different enough in order to form a decent comparison and yet alike enough to connect them in some way. In the art gallery, Nocturne gave me a feeling similar to the one I experienced when I first saw The Starry Night; there was something otherworldly and mystical about it. It made you look at a greater expanse then the bit of landscape that was shown in an unexpected way. Though each work was made in over a hundred year gap from the other, both works use a brilliant use of color and a view of the sky

If Smiles attitude couldn't take care of a problem, Oh would appeal to the intellect and bring the situation to a close. Oh could well have become a politician. A few situations defined his complexity showing the good the bad and the ugly of Oh. During a visit one of the customers’ cars was broken into. Oh, totally empathetic with the customer, apologized profusely for the terrible incident and requested the police take all the information for insurance purposes.
Stage 4 - Companies in this stage have broad analytic capabilities for solving local problems, but not at the organization level. Due to duplication of efforts and lack of appropriate employee skill sets and attitudes, the organization has some work to do to reach this level of analytical maturity. The CEO and executive team are supportive of analytical focus, but are not passionate about competing on this basis.

The beginning years of my administrative experiences as an educator presented some turbulent, and challenging times. I was extremely young as an administrator, and as I have previously mentioned, had no idea as to the challenges and crisis I would be presented with at the beginning of my career.
Firstly, to prepare for the first administration of the CAS, I read the examiner manual which explained that in order for the results to be interpretable and avoid reducing of reliability and validity, the assessment should be administered according to the procedures and recommended testing conditions (Das & Naglieri, 1997). Response book, red pencil, stopwatch), the starting points according to age, the time limits per item, scoring of each item, and the discontinue rules. I then reviewed the record forms, response booklets, and marked the starting points according to Jhallen’s and Sierra’s age with highlighter and post-it
