Military Education The term education can be interpreted in more ways than one. Some would say education involves sitting through lectures and learning grammar and arithmetic. Defining education is very difficult and everyone has a different opinion, however the criterion, training in a specific skill, knowledge, and thinking for yourself accurately describes education. Because military training satisfies the criterion it can be classified as a valid form of education.
Training in specific skills is quite possibly the main focus of the military today. Much like a college student studying to become an expert in his/her field, such as architecture or history, a member of the military trains in a specialty as well. Many

From the beginning of basic training soldiers are given knowledge in many areas. Knowledge is defined as the ability to recall specific methods and processes, as well as pattern and structure previously taught. Knowledge is a vast topic and it is basically up to the person defining knowledge what the standards are. Trainees are taught the specifics of military conduct, ethics as well as a general overview of military history and a very in depth look at weaponry, sometimes in a matter of weeks. At a university, students are taught many subjects and through memorization these students are expected to know the material. They are then tested on the material determining whether or not they obtained the knowledge. Upon completion of the basics, military trainees go into more specialized fields such as aircraft maintenance, special warfare, or some form of administration. Aircraft maintenance crews go through several months of additional training where they learn how to fix just about everything on the plane. These soldiers are trained and then tested thoroughly to ensure that they are familiar with the subject. In order to become an officer in today’s military you must attain at least a bachelor’s degree and complete an officer
Is it right that Donald Trump bans Transgenders that have the capability to fight and train like everyone else? Serving for the military is a great opportunity that has been taken away from Transgenders, that deserve that opportunity, and here’s three reasons that Transgenders should be able to serve. Three reasons why Transgenders should stay in the military are they shouldn’t be kicked out and deployed out of the military despise their gender. The military will lose approximately 15,000 active troops that were doing an amazing job at serving our country. Finally, because the Donald Trump claims that the medical cost is too much, but training and getting troops up to readiness standards will cost more money.
Some believe training is as important as education. Army Doctrine Training Publication ADP 7-0 Page 2 paragraph 7 states, “Units train in garrison and while deployed to prepare for their mission and adapt their capabilities to any changes in an operational environment. (Headquaters, Department of the Army, 2012)” This simply means training is never complete. As a leader in the Army, NCO’s must seek new areas in which to train their troops. Proper education in these areas allows for them to receive proper training in whatever subject they are focusing on. For instance, when the Global War on Terrorism started in 2001 the Army began training soldiers for urban combat. Had the Army attempted to force the war to be fought in ways that were no longer compatible with the terrain of the modern battlefield, the battles would have been more costly for American troops.
The Army expects you to succeed higher than ever even with a High School Diploma or a GED,They want somebody to know what they are doing especially they do not no one at all to act dumb or be disrespectful ,The Army wants someone to be respect young man or women who would want to get their heads on straight to achieve more the expect ASVAB scores out of a Graduated Highschool Individual is a 31 and a G.E.D Graduate is a
Every day, there are American citizens who risk their lives for the sake of their country's safety. Men and women who believe that justice, peace, and equality should be served. However, within their beliefs, some choose to exclude transgender individuals who have the same rights and freedoms. The American society considers the world to be progressively changing and growing, however, seem to forget that in order for the military to survive the 21st century, diversity is crucial. Although the medical costs may raise the overall healthcare median per year, transgender individuals should have the right to serve in the U.S. armed forces because any human being who meets the physical qualifications and has a willing attitude should have the right to serve.
As a Recon Marine we are responsible for a wide spectrum of technical expertise that is not always up to date so learning is always occurring, it doesn’t matter who or what rank is teaching what matters is that the most proficient Marine or individual is the one we all listen to. So if it’s a young Marine that is the most proficient then we all listen and learn from him/her. In addition from learning from the young Marines we must attend general professional military education, it is a Marine Corps requirement and though the material is specific to the Marine Corps the process of learning remains the same. In order to remain relative and progress in my field, I had to attend over forty formal schools over the span of my career further instilling the fundamentals of the process of
Many people are concerned about the U.S. military because of how many risks come with joining it. However, the U.S. military also explains the benefits that one could receive. Joining the military is a decision that should not be taken lightly. One must understand all aspects of the military. In order for a voter to be fully informed about joining the US military, one must consider both the risks, like mental illnesses and commitment and benefits, like education, and experience.
Reserve Officers ' Training Corps instructors provide college and high school students training in the subjects and skills they will need to become commissioned officers in the armed forces. These subjects include leadership, critical thinking and military science.
Education is not the only benefit that comes from service in the military. When many people first join, they are assigned MOSs. MOSs are jobs assigned to someone when they first join (Nance). Each MOS is specific and is usually related to the field an individual is interested in. He is sent to training immediately after basic training. Each branch of the military has different jobs, depending on what is available. Jobs can range from being a dentist to becoming a lawyer, but each has its own school for

This training will also prepare the adult for employment in the civilian world. the duration of their education, those in the military are paid in the same way. For instance,
Professionals in the United States Army stand apart from others engaged in particular careers in the civilian world. While many vocations contain some of the characteristics of professional, a lot of careers do not include all of the elements necessary to distinguish themselves as being as close to a professional as a United States soldier. Professionalism grows depending on the time and service they have in the Army. A professional has specialized knowledge and skill which can only be acquired through prolonged education and experience. Such skill and experience form the basis of objective standards of professional competence that separate the practicing professional from their peers and
Professional soldiers differ from the ordinary citizen particularly in psychological and personal characteristics and qualities. A soldier professional does not want a war, but he wants to be prepared for the worst possible variant of development. We can say that working in the armed forces is characterized by several attributes. I think the expert work, self-improvement, ethics, fulltime commitment and discipline are the most important ones. The expert work comes out from the requirements for controlling highly specialized equipment and procedures that occur only under the conditions of the armed forces. For example, an engineer knows the procedures for mine-clearing, building floating bridges, command and controlling submarines, fire control of air defense systems, logistic equipment transfers and many others. All of these activities call for a maximal professional approach and adherence to precisely specified procedures, which can be achieved only by professionals with many years of experience. So, to move forward and improve our professionalism it is very important to consider self-improvement. In my opinion, learning from experienced master soldiers, be active in self learning and have good motivation are the right ways to succeed. A profession of arms can be, and it certainly is, a dangerous way to meet our life necessities. It would be quite ridiculous if somebody stated he worked for armed forces only for loyalty to the
There are many job oppurtunitiesin the army. Anyone one can join and be anything he wants. In the army everyone has the chance to travel the world. The army has certain benefits and requirements. All of them will be explained.
The Air Force focuses mainly on training troops technical knowledge to be proficient at their jobs, and provides combat training only when Air Force personnel are put on orders to deploy to a combat zone. Soldier’s go to training sites frequently and stay for weeks at a time to train with scenarios comparable to missions the military has seen in previous battles, or believe may happen in future battles fought. When the Army trains with the aforementioned scenarios, soldiers must carry their assigned weapons, either an M16A2 rifle, an M4 rifle, or an M9 pistol. When soldiers go through the scenarios, they are required to fire their assigned weapon in order to train with, and become comfortable with those weapons. Air Force personnel train with similar scenarios, but only when given orders to deploy. At times, Air Force personnel will train with Soldiers, deploy to the same combat zone, and work as a joint force together. Soldiers do not only receive combat training, but soldiers also receive technical training to be proficient at their job.
