My science experiment has 3 different results but there was only one that matched my hypothesis. After applying all my steps to the soda, when I put it through the strainer the soda completely went through the strainer; there was nothing left behind. Later after applying all my steps to the juice. i also put it through a strainer and i ended up with the same result as the soda. The only liquid i didn't get a bad result for was the milk. The milk went through the strainer and left behind this white squishy looking material. It looked almost as if it were some type of white goo.
With my science project i gained a greater understanding on how vinegar can create a chemical reaction so quickly when working with other liquids. I learned that the lumps left behind in the strainer from the milk are actually called “casein”. The individual protein strands within the milk and the vinegar combine to make the solid, also known as a polymer molecule strand. The globs are made of fat minerals and the protein.. The combination of heat and vinegar (acetic acid) helps to pull out or precipitate the protein casein from the milk. In fact, this plastic is environmentally friendly because it will eventually decompose, unlike plastics made from petroleum products.

I really enjoyed making a hypothesis about what was going to happen when the mixture of milk and vinegar was heated in the microwave. I also enjoyed being able to test my hypothesis to see my accuracy. Being able to see the progress within the matter of minutes was incredible to me, i couldn't seem to wrap my head around that. overall my science experiment was
Got Milk? Well, Austin Powers, Tracy McGrady, Serena Williams, Britney Spears, and even Elvis all do. But, do they know what they are selling in this Got Milk? Advertisements? The Got Milk? campaign was based on a milk deprivation strategy that reminded consumers how inconvenient it was to be without milk. The advertisment made milk a very popular drink because of its attractiveness not because of the nutrients and health issues. It has been believed by many that milk is needed to have a strong and healthy body, when actually milk can be extremely harmful and the nutrients needed for a good body can be found in many other sources.
Hypothesis: If I place an egg in vinegar, then the outer layer of the egg is going to become slimy and look like rubber. It will also become larger and bubbles will form on and around the egg.
Milk and Honey is a poetry book that is divided into four chapters, the healing process: The Hurting, The Loving, The Breaking, and The Healing. The title ‘Milk and Honey’ comes from Exodus 33:3, “…unto a land filled with milk and honey,” this is referred to as the Promised Land. Throughout the book, every other poem is accompanied by an illustration that relates to the poem in one way or another.
Subsequently, I choose this experiment because the thought of using Dry Ice in a experiment was very intriguing to me due to the properties of Dry Ice. This experiment made me think a lot about the uses of Dry Ice and how they are used in everyday life. Initially I believed that Dry Ice did not have that many purposes in life, but in the process of experimenting I learned the purpose of Dry Ice and the temperature changes that come with Dry Ice.
Heat was felt. The color of the liquid was a pasty white, and there was white foam that began to form. The foam began to spread out and then it shrank. The combination of substances maintained the state of a liquid. There was a fizzing noise after the chemicals were mixed. No recognizable odor given off.
Back in elementary school, I generally had a great distaste for everything science; I preferred math. Science seemed too simple and I disapproved of the slow-moving pace. One day a year the school hosted Science Matters Day, my favorite people, Scientists, were invited to visit; they brought all kinds of fun activities. One of my favorite memories of all has to be the day they made a hard-boiled egg sink into a bottle. The experiment was still simple, but it was different from anything we had ever done before. This experiment included the use of a flame to produce heat and create pressure. I thought it was interesting, and I was hooked.
Just like the water and gas in our lungs, the milk and food coloring would not have been able to mix. Both the liquid soap and the surfactant reduce the magnetic force that unites liquid molecules- in this case allowing milk and food coloring to mix. Without this experiment, we’d be overlooking one of the many
“Raw milk today is a fringe movement, a crusade of underdogs, a pesky mouse against the entrenched lions of medicine and industry.” The book The Untold Story of Milk begins with the undesirable situation of raw milk in today’s society.
Milk dude had brought him to his hideout at the abandoned milk factory. Banana Man thanked Milk dude and did something that would “change” his life. He asked Milk Dude to become his side kick! Together, they will destroy Honey Booboo and her stupid show once and for all, for the sake of the universe! The two of them whooshed off to Honey Booboo’s evil fortress at the cheese store. To get to honey booboo, they will have to pass the five layers of dip, the six cans of the spray cheese, the seven guardians of the Swiss, and the snack food of the cheese curl!!! The duo began their long journey through the cheese store. First up were the 5 layers of dip. Banana man shot banana grenades at the wall of dip, but its five layers gave the dip extra defense.
This lab was pretty cool because we got to do numerous tests and see different but similar results. I learned how Newton’s Third Law works and it’s very cool. Newton’s third law happens in everyday life. For example, fighting over the remote control with your brother, you both add an equal and opposite reaction of force. Overall this lab was fun and a learning lesson. I had a great time with this fun
The milk in the school cafeterias was not good, and I hope it's not really a good idea to serving milk in the school cafeterias because milk produces gas and gives lots of unhealthy energy . Why it is not good? For example milk can make you diarrhea and this problem is really dangerous sometime diarrhea can make ulcer also ulcer can kill the people another example. Why it is not good because milk can also make people weak. According to (source 2) “the condition is more common in people of Asian, African, Native American or Mediterranean ethnicity, and, while not dangerous, it can cause nausea, bloating, gas and diarrhea.” This quote shows condition is more common in people of Asian, African, and others country because lots of young people drinks
In this lab my hypothesis “ I think when placing the raw egg in vinegar the shell will disappear and I will be left with a rubbery, squishy shaped egg. When I place the egg in corn syrup the egg will separate and shrink because the molecules won’t be able to pass through the egg. When I place the egg in water it will expand slightly because of diffusion.” was pretty spot on. When we left the egg in vinegar it came out like a bouncy ball and when placed in the corn syrup it shrunk. Finally, when the egg was put in water it expanded like I predicted. Because of the varying concentrations in each substance the egg expanded and shrunk.
It isn't hard to see why record collectors love milk crates – they are portable, sturdy and just the right size for vinyls. Even retail giant Urban Outfitters joined the bandwagon, releasing their version of the milk crate a couple of years back.
From this experiment, it is concluded that babies who are fed breastmilk or the mixture sleep the longest compared to formula fed babies. From this conclusion we can verify that formula milk is a comfort food. For example, after 3 bottles, formula fed babies slept the longest. This confers with the idea that: because formula takes longer to digest, babies wake up to eat less often than breastfed babies. Formula gives babies longer sleep, but is it healthy? Researchers determined formula as a comfort food, which leads to formula fed babies to being overweight from overeating. When being compared with breastmilk and the mixture, around the meal sizes 1 and 2 bottles, in table 1, both the mixture and breastmilk fed babies had longer sleep times
During the Cold War, the Soviets were trying to spread communism throughout Europe and Asia by exalting its achievements, and undermining democracy. Part of their approach was by launching ‘Hate-America’ propaganda. “As the Cold War intensified, the Truman administration launched an aggressive “Campaign of Truth” […] to counter the Soviet Union propaganda machine (Ubah, 2012).” The Campaign of Truth was created to help convince the world that the United States has “no purpose of going to war, except in the defense of freedom. (Vaccaro, 1950)” Truman encouraged the media to show the world that the United States was ‘wholly dedicated to the cause of peace (Vaccaro,
