There are several films that I have already watched, I really like to watch an action film, the film in which the actor take action for whole the film. Therefore, I want to describe two films with comparing the films. I have some of the criteria to compare the films, which is story essential, dialogue, photography, acting, music, originality. I want to choose which one is better or perhaps which one is more successful. The films that I want to describe are “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle”. This genre film is basically same each other, which makes the difference is story film. The films have an awesome action scene. The films were astonishing to watch because there is a unique storyline. In both movies: “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” and “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol”, the story essentials are similar. Story essentials consist of Character, Setting, Plot, Conflict, Resolution. The plot of the movie Kingsman is nearly identical to the movie Mission Impossible. In both movies, the organization that the movie is about are both compromised resulting in damages, which has never happened in the history of the respective organization. Both organizations are compromised by someone who used to work with the respective organizations. In terms of plot, I think that "Mission Impossible" has a better plot than Kingsman. This is because, in Kingsman, there is a connection between the first Kingsman movie and the second one. This will result in
I have chosen to investigate these films because of how both films were released at the time of the relaxation of violence in cinema.
Analyse how the use of film features shaped your response to one or more themes in the film.
There are many different elements of film that filmmakers can utilize to make a film. Direction, storyline, cinematography, mise en scene, as well as point of view and tone can all lend a hand in making a film great. One might say that the most important aspect of a film is the script. Others might argue the actors are the most important part. However, an impressive balance of all of the different elements of film are what can elevate a film to greatness. That is why the best film viewed this semester is Night of the Living Dead.
And I will be comparing the movie to the story and the story to the movie.
I never gave much thought into what it takes to shoot, direct, edit, and complete a motion picture. Sure, it may sound fun, but after this assignment, it felt like a lot of work. There are quite a few specialized groups that put together the films that we enjoy in our movie theatres. No wonder why it takes months and even years to edit a film, these folks are making sure things are done and synced correctly! The following essay will identify information pertaining to film and importance for their audience so the person or persons watching can have an understanding of what it is they are viewing. A story that has no meaning or becomes very confusing in the details that are presented does not make a good film.
Hidden Figures, directed by Theodore Melfi, is a movie set in the 1960’s which follows the story of three African-American women who face discrimination amongst their society. Furthermore, Twelve Angry Men, set in the 1950’s, written by Reginald Rose, creates an injustice against a poor slum boy who is discriminated and face prejudices due to his low social class. Through these texts were able to see the prejudices society has placed among us and in order to improve this we need to speak up and fight these discriminatory concepts to create change. Both texts are set in a time of segregation and discrimination which causes a regression against the underprivileged, so we need to demolish these prejudices in order to advance and progress as a society. Minorities need to speak up for change as their voices are better suited to help other minorities fight for a change rather than the majority fight for them all the time. For a change to be created we need to be firm and unnerving about the change we want to create, to construct progression, because, to devise change in society we need to create it ourselves and declare the change we want in society.
Modern day directors use a variety of methods to hold ones interest. Ethan Hawke and Kenneth Branagh’s created versions of Hamlet that shared some similarities, but ultimately had many differences in respects to an audience’s appeal. An appealing movie is one that has an alluring ambiance and an intellectual stimulus. With these two movie versions, a setting and a mood forced an audience to acquire specific emotions, but Ethan Hawke’s version generated emotions more strongly and effectively. Also, these movies had extremely different uses of music and visuals, but both movie versions incorporated them well for the ambiance it tried to obtain. Finally, both movie
The second movie I selected was “The Last Samurai”. This movie is about a man named Nathan Algren. He was first American military officer, then worked for Japan to train the new army. In battle against the rebels, he gets captured by them, and is held captive. While he is forced to stay, he gains a
Close Encounters of the Third Kind was written and directed by Steven Spielberg. The story first starts off with a group of scientist that discover a bunch of perfect condition fighter planes in the desert that went missing in 1945. After that, a couple of commercial flights reported seeing a strange bright light, that they could not describe to ATC in Indiana. Widespread power outage hits Indiana and an electrical lineman, Roy Neary had an encounter with a UFO while driving. He chases the UFO’s until he runs out of road. While this is going on, a little boy named Barry follows the UFO’s out of his house after all his toys started turning on by themselves. His mother Gillian chases after him until she
To give a brief overview of each film, I will start with Gods and Generals. Gods
Both the films differed in both the plot and the characters but resembled the same motive which was to prevent the thing being exposed to the world and cause total invasion to the world.
Yet, the key differences in the films is the circumstances that the main characters decided to become heroes and how the studios decided to portray the
I was a little late on the Kill Bill train and did not watch the movie until last year. As soon as the film started, I knew that it was going to be extremely intense. The same goes for Pulp Fiction. These two films directed by Quentin Tarantino were very different from all the other films that I’ve seen in my life. The mise en scene, dialogue, and music, were all different factors that intrigued me. I watched Pulp Fiction after watching Kill Bill and at first I thought that Pulp Fiction was an odd spin off to Kill Bill or that it took place in the same kind of universe because the worlds are so similar, the characters are just as intense, and the amount of violence was just as common. These are just a few things that make Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill similar. In this essay I will be discussing more similarities and slight differences between the two films.
The film I picked for my critique is Red Tails, a historical World War II drama. The movie starred Cuba Gooding Jr., Terrence Howard and Gerald Mcraney, was written by John Ridley and Aaron McGruder, better known as the creator of the comic strip “the boondocks”, from a book by John B. Holway, directed by Anthony Hemingway and produced by George Lucas . In this paper the author will show how all elements of filmmaking
