Mobile phone exposure and carcinogenesis
Brain cancer is the most frightening hazard of mobile phone use. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classified RF fields as “possibly carcinogenic to humans,” in 2002 in spite of limited evidence from human and animal studies (IARC, 2002).
The relation between mobile phone radiation exposure and cancer are justified. Muscat et al. (2000) showed that a relationship exists between mobile phone use and meningioma or glioma. A meta-analysis conducted by Swedish researchers and published in the International Journal of Oncology, pointed out to a significant correlation between long-term use of mobile phones and brain tumors (Hardell et al. 2011). They found that both malignant and benign tumors were linked to the chronic exposure to cell phone radiation and suggested that mobile phones were not safe for long-term use.
In 2011, after taking the opinions of 30 experts from 14 countries, the World Health Organization (WHO) categorized mobile phone radiation as a potential Group 2B carcinogen and officially advised consumers to limit their use (IARC, 2011; Baan et al., 2011). This suggests that mobile phone radiation may have a carcinogenic effect. Recently, Howlader et al. (2013) reported that mobile phone use raises the risk of brain cancer. Several possible pathways of carcinogenesis have been suggested. As we have discussed, the plasma membrane may be a target of RF-EMW. RF-EMW may act on various enzymes and
dy that shows the brain is sensitive to the phone's radiation emissions”(1) He also says that he would performer texting over calling. I will use this article to show ways that a cellphone can be dangerous due to all the chemical and equipment it uses and how it can affect our human bodies.
In the debate article discuss the topics of cell phones giving off radiation and transferring it to the human brain. This is a big deal because a lot of Americans own or use phones. The article goes on to say that researchers have found that people have brain tumors and damage in DNA due to cell phones. This article deals with a lot of controversy because many people believed cell phones were the cause of brain tumors, it was such a big issue many inventors were sued in the 1990s. The debate can go on and on, however this is not keeping anyone from buying more phones.

6. Children are at an increased risk for adverse health effects from cell phone radiation. One
The third source of radiation is using cellular telephones and radio-frequency (RF) have denoted as a large effect of this type of radiation. "Early studies have shown that there is a relationship between using cellular telephones and the growth of brain tumors. Moreover, unfortunately even under laboratory conditions direct exposures to high energy of RF is difficult to quantify"(5).
The news has recently been highlighting the negative effects of radiation from cell phones and the detrimental effects it has on our body. However, have you ever considered the radiation from cell phones affecting your hormones as well? In the article, “Cell Phones, Hormones and Breast Cancer: Connect the Dots”, written by Sherrill Sellman representing Total Health Magazine strays from the norm and discusses the effects. Sellman highlights many issues regarding the radiation and electromagnetic field repercussions on the human body physiological imbalances.
People know brain cancer can be a very scary disease. Use your cell phone with care. Studies have shown that people who use their cell phones on a regular basis have higher chances of getting a brain tumor, which can later develop into cancer, is 240% higher then someone who stays off the phone. Cell phones give off radioactive waves which attack brain cells. The primary cause is still unknown, people still try and fins ways to prevent it. Avoiding
First radiofrequency radiation, RFR, which is emitted from the cell phones can cause cancer and other health issues (Karaca). Health issues with cell phones have been debated since the cell phone was made. Other electrical items related to cell phones all have RFR, but all of them emit it safely even back to 1893. This also tells us that cell phones safely use RFR. But (IARC) is aware of cell phones being "possibly carcinogenic to humans” which means that RFR has some chance of generating cancer cells
However there had done others study that express the connection between cell phones and different types of biological damage to human body. For example The European Journal of Scientific Research conducted a lab experiment with normal human astrocytes, an LG Verizon cell phone and MRET-Nylon chip. The experiment revealed that normal human astrocytes cell that were exposed to cell phone radiation at a room temperature without the MRET-Nylon chip decreased by 20% less . Igor Smirnov is one of the author of this experiment and he stated on his article that "It is well documented that cell phones, which emit electromagnetic fields in the radio frequency range, can cause DNA damage, headaches, blurred vision, dizziness, fatigue, short term memory loss, neuralgias, tumors, sleep disturbances, aberrant brain wave activity and changes to cerebral blood flow, including altering the permeability of the blood brain barrier" (Smirnov, 2009). Smirnov statement and finding about the emission of electromagnetic wave from cell phones gives a lot to think. Even-tough it's a small amount of radiation that is being emitted from cell-phones, because they are held very close to the head at the end of a long term usage the risk of brain cancer and others health problems will
With cell phone usage increasing, many individuals have become concerned about the health effects of radiation from cell phones and cell phone towers. In recent years, various studies have been conducted to determine whether the radio frequency waves from cell phone towers have a detrimental effect on health. Current research has yielded inconsistent results regarding the effects of radio frequency waves, and while the World Health Organization does not view radio frequency waves as serious risk, more research needs to be done in order to be certain (USDA, 2009).
Did you know that the cancer government, the federal communications commission’s says that hundreds of millions of Americans uses cell phones, and cell phones can cause you to have brain tumors? Did you also know that both adults and children spend most of their time on phone? When using your phone, it might give you a neck problem because in respect to cancer, concern focuses on whether cell phones might increase the risk of brain tumors in the head and neck area. But let me tell you something, as many of us use our phones daily, do we ever stop and think it might affect our body? No because we are so into social media and playing games that we don’t have time to think that it’s going to affect us. People say that phones are safe and other say they aren’t. I say that they can be safe at some time it can also depend what you do, and how long you use it for. Therefore, many of us get distracted easily and it’s pretty hard to get back on track. In 1973, the first portable cell phone was discovered, due to the cause that cell phones may not be safe at some time cell phones are also very important because in case of an emergency you will have a device with you.
I am going to talk about the arguments about how cell phone radiation can affect our lives and whether these arguments are accurate or not. Cell phone radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation that has the ability to cause health issues. The radiation from this device can cause serious brain tumours, according to one study by Anna Lahkola of the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in Finland, which found that people who use their cell phone for more than 2000 hours have a higher chance of getting a brain tumour. The
radiation (the kind used in X-rays) is known to cause cancer at high doses, the risks of
Although cell phones appear to be harmless devices, they are proven to be detrimental and unsafe to prolonged users. Cell phone users need to be more aware of the potential consequences of improper usage. Mobile phone radiation and health concerns have elevated, especially after the enormous increase in the use of mobile phones. Furthermore, texting while driving is a risk that many individuals take, and could lead to serious, life-threatening consequences. Nevertheless, there are quite a few solutions that may help a cell phone user in preventing the potential consequences of prolonged cell phone use. Without a doubt, many individuals continue to text while driving, partly because the communications industry is somewhat responsible for
Furthermore, Mobile phones are harmful to user’s health so they can affect their learning ways. Researchers have been found that mobile phones produce waves that are harmful to heart, internal and reproductive organs. Also, radiation from mobile phones can damage brain cell. For example, mobile phones can be implicated in brain tumours as a result of electromagnetic fields or radiation.
