Many people believe the moon landing never happened. The number one belief is that the photographic evidence is fake. The astronauts took thousands of pictures, each one perfectly exposed and sharply focused. Not one was badly composed or even blurred. In particular, there is one photo that is often mentioned, the photo of Neil Armstrong putting the American flag into the moon. The strange thing about this photo is that the flag is waving like it’s in the wind. “The obvious problem here is that there’s no air in the moon’s atmosphere, and therefore no wind to cause the flag to blow.” (Josh Fox, 2012). Theorists state that since the moon has no atmosphere, so if it was really on the moon there is no way the flag couldn't be waving
John F. Kennedy once said, "No nation which expects to be the leader of other nations can expect to stay behind in this race for space...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard”. The main motive for this quote was to ensure that the United States wanted to beat out the Soviets in the space race. Ever since the Soviets tried to advance on the moon, the United States wanted to be the first successful nation to accomplish the first ever moon landing. At the time, the tension between the United States and the Soviets was very strong because the Cold War just ended and neither nation wanted to lose to each other in the space race. Just as the
One of the most patriotic moments in United States history was an American stepping foot on the Moon. It came at a time when the U.S. was involved in the Cold War, bringing joy to the entire country. It was a task that took years of failure and hard work to accomplish. The moon landing helped elevate the status of the United States as a country trying to catch up to the Soviet Union in the race of space advancement. However, this accomplishment has been diminished by many who have claimed it be staged. Two of them are Bill Kaysing, who published a book detailing the hoax in 1976, and Bart Sibrel, who published a documentary in 2001.
Was the Moon landing real or a hoax? The moon landing was a major scientific breakthrough and a great day for America. The problem is, it might’ve been faked. There are many pieces of evidence showing that it could have been faked but there is also evidence showing that the moon landing could have also been real. I believe that the moon landing was not a hoax. The flag was blowing in the wind but how was it supposed to stop if there is no friction on the moon? The astronauts' shadows don’t match the lunar light source because there was a matte box on the camera . That there were absolutely no stars in the sky because the pictures were taken during the day.
One of the most famous photos of the Apollo 11 mission is the American flag waving in the breeze on the moon. Breeze? In fact there is no wind on the moon, so how is this possible? It can be argued that the inertia
Conspiracy theories are everywhere. It seems that for every event in to have taken place in history, there is a group of individuals saying that it is a government conspiracy. There are conspiracy theories regarding the 9/11 attacks, presidential assassinations, Area 51, Jimmy Hoffa, the English crown and Elvis. The list is endless. In this paper we are going to discuss the moon landing conspiracy. Apparently there are people who believe the entire moon landing was a hoax. They believe that we did not actually land on the moon, but produced the event in a movie studio so that we would be able to beat Russia in the great “Space Race”. These people have taken all the evidence from the moon landing and analyzed ever aspect and tried to
Was the moon landing a hoax? Why was America able to go in the 1900s but not today? There are many reasons why the moon landing was faked. Some reasons and examples the moon landing was a hoax are the Van Allen Radiation Belt or the ‘C’ rock. These reasons are proven by a number of sites and people. Most of the facts go against NASA and the “real moon landing”.
The moving flag is the most popular reason for conspiracy theorists to believe that the moon landing was fake. In one photograph, the American flag appears to be fluttering. The theorists grasp this as evidence because they believe that a flag can not move on the airless moon. Despite this, according to TIME magazine, 2009; NASA said that the flag was moving

Many accomplishments throughout the years, in the United States have formed our country to a nationalist society. On July 20th, 1969, the Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas received the call, “Houston”, which confirmed the landing of these three astronauts on the moon. Recently though, many discussions of the Apollo 11 mission have astonished thoughts of many Americans. Conspiracy theorists are looking at the Moon Landing as a hoax and one big set up that Americans were fooled into believing actually happened. In 1974, Bill Kasying wrote a book entitled We Never Went to the Moon:
Conspiracy theories have been around since the beginning of time. When NASA sent the first landed on the moon, there are people who believed that NASA faked the moon landings. Men, such as Bill Kaysing, the Flat Earth Society, and Davie Groves, and Bart Sibrel, have written books, delivered lectures, and made videos about why they believed NASA faked the moon landings. Based on their observations which include no stars in their pictures, NASA's drive to beat the Russians to the moon, and a way to distract people from the Vietnam war, the group believes that the moon landings were faked.
It wasn 't until I really sat down and thought about it that I realized the moon landing was questionable. As a kid I always thought it would be amazing to be an astronaut so the thought that maybe there is no real astronauts at all had me concerned. On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 with astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly landed in the surface of the moon. This landing at its time was considered the most amazing technological advancement in the history of mankind. The moon landing is something that everyone knows about but as it turns out about 20% americans and 50% or Ukrainians don 't believe the moon landing really happened, here 's why.
There is physical evidence that can prove on how the moon landing is a hoax. One of the popular evidences that it is a hoax is that in the videos and pictures of the men on the moon, in the distance of space there is absolutely no stars in sight. “The photographs on the moon don't show any stars in the sky,” (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). That is why a lot of people believed this was faked and filmed in a studio. The second piece of physical evidence is how when they stuck the American flag in the ground it was waving like there is wind in space. “There's no wind on the moon, so how come the flag was blowing in a breeze?” (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). On the moon there is no atmosphere like here on earth so there can't be any reasonable explanation as to why the flags moving but NASA has tried. The final part of my physical evidence is one of the most famous. In a picture from the astronauts there is a moon rock
One of the key pieces of evidence of the moon landing is photo evidence. Numerous photos as well as video have been released and seen by the public. One of the
The "Moon Hoax" has been around since 1835, when the New York Sun printed an article about this whole ordeal. The New York Sun used and credited Sir John Herschel, who was a British Astronomer. Herschel claimed that he had tried out a new type of telescope on the Cape of Good Hope in January of 1834. While in Cape Town, he said he'd set up an Observatory. Using this, he claimed to have observed what he thought of as the "Real" Moon. He claimed to have seen vegetation, bodies of water, and living creatures. He also said he had seen "Bat People" who were described as being furry winged men. This took the People at a shock, and the "Evidence" and science astounded them. So many began to believe this is true.
Now, do you need anymore evidence on how the moon landing was hoax, maybe from a source you can trust? Well you can find that source at science.howstuffworks.com. In the article, “Why do some people believe the moon landings were a hoax?” you can find the evidence. This article resembles that of what was stated in the last paragraph. Some topics reasons are the same as well. A new one is the difference in shadow lengths. “Some people point out that some of the shadows given off by the
