Moving to Rowad Alkhaleej
Has changed my life
Moving to Rowad Alkhaleej was my father?s brilliant idea. One of his friends advised him to transfer me along with my brothers. How did it changed me, why did it change me, all I?m going to cover and explain in the upcoming paragraphs.
On the first period of the first school day, an American teacher came talked to us, welcomed us, and introduced us to the school. But it was so difficult to understand what he says, he spoke so rapidly and in an accent that I listened only while watching movie. From this moment I knew I?m in a different place than my previous school. The time for laziness, immaturity is done. With also listening to couple of student talking similarly to him, and easily replying

As weeks passed, I studied harder. But not only that, I needed to start learning from other classmates. I asked them about how they study, and when. Basically I tried to know about their studying habits. Which came up to be beneficial in changing my grades. One of the studying habits from one of the students was coming back home at3:00pm having lunch and relax until 4:00pm and start studying, start with core subject then the easier ones until 6:00pm. The rest of the day is free time and dinner and then sleep at 9:30pm. Which I use until know except maybe the exam days. As days passed my grades got shifted up along with my English skills that significantly improved, which made my parent so proud. Having class discussions, helped build speaking skills in me. And listening to different point of views and accepting it. That also was beneficial in real life. One time we had an argument that I remember and like it until this day. Which was about forcing good handwriting in all subjects and in all schools. Which I completely disagree with due to my awful handwriting. This argument very polite and respectful, the teacher thanked us and rewarded us …show more content…
And I still admire it. But the thing Rowad Alkhaleej added was the fact that we in some specific years in the school, had days called sports days. That allowed all people in the school?s campus to participate in, either playing football or other sport or only watching. In those days we had the opportunity to challenge our teachers in football. It felt so joyful, and we had so much excitement in those days. Those days could easily break the invisible walls between the teachers and their student. And show the students how nice teachers sometimes are. Even the principle whom we thought was a mighty person, played respectfully with us.
Finally, I really thank my father do for securing my future with this great school. And I would to thank the friend of him who gave the advice. This school allowed me to build a character that I never thought I would. And thank myself too. For desire to change and be better in life, and remember that whoever say that humans can?t change is very wrong, I?m not saying I?m the only example in life. There are a lot
First off, I want to say thank you to my parents for supporting me. Mom, Dad, thank you for being there with me during difficult times. You support and understand me, this gives me the strength to continue fight through the challenges in life. Without you being here today and by my side, I would have given up. Next, I want to thank the administration. You have all contributed to making this school run smoothly but also have allowed us to have a good time. I, as many others, have enjoyed the monthly walks and fundraising activities, the cultural fashion show and the fun and exciting cultural festival with the live steel bad and African drummers. These are some experiences that some students have never been exposed to. Therefore, thank you for bringing new and exciting initiatives to PS/MS124. Mrs. Babb, you are a very loving and an easy person to talk to. You have made so many positive changes to PS124, one of which is allowing us middle schoolers to have student council. I would also like to thank my teachers, for sharing their knowledge. You have taken the time to explain assignments, make class interesting, challenge us beyond our knowledge, and inspire not just me, but all of us. I want to Mr. Heaton for granting me the position of secretary for National Junior Honor Society last year. This was a great opportunity and that allowed me to play a key role in the National Junior Honor
Last but not least, I humbly thank all my teachers of POH for helping me, not just with class work but, assisting in me to find my goal and enabling me to achieve it by providing me with the
Sports and the well being of students in their environment at school are both very influential and meaningful topics. Student’s involvement in sports has played a large role in history regarding the development of schools, and building a character for people to be able to work as a team and express their school involvement and competitivity pinned up against one another. An example of this is regarding the history of sport, how individuals would want to compete with one another to justify their position and their abilities to perform. This natural instinct can be seen in plenty of teens and students in school environments, and this competitive feeling can drive these students to fight for their own victory to build reputation and a name for themselves. Remember The Titans (Remember the Titans.
I was very worried about going school because it was difficult for me to assimilate the American’s culture especially the language. First of all, I was able to understand the English if someone talks in slow but I never communicated in English. I went school early since it was my first day with nervous heart. Amisha helped me to get the schedule and she introduced her friends to me who were Nepali too. Next, She told me that her friend’s sister have same classes as I have. I felt relieved and I went to my class. I saw a Physic teacher and she said, “are you a new student.” Yes, I am and I told her that I am from Nepal with the scarcity of confident voice. “Oh I have other Nepali students in my class and they can help you.” She was extremely nice and helpful. She explained me the starters, homework and how is the class going to be. After few moment, I saw someone coming and I immediately asked her are you Nepali? She said, “ yes I am and my sister told me about you.” Her name was Manisha and we became a

At times in life there comes something called change. In my opinion, I was not a big fan of change. You cannot imagine how I was feeling when my mother announced that we were moving. It was the middle of my sixth-grade year, I was feeling countless emotions, none that could be explained at the moment of the announcement. The main thing on my mind was school; my friends, my outstanding teachers, and the environment. All things I had left behind. All I could think about was, “How will I ever adjust?” I knew exactly what was to come, I knew exactly what I was going to become, an outcast. There were numerous of ways on why I was feeling this way, but
I have become more proficient in my study skills because in English class, every week I need to take a quiz for vocab. Before, I have studied for a little bit at my house. Now, I study at my house the last 4 days before the quiz and during school the last class before the quiz. I start to know what does each word goes in the sentence that have given us to fill in the blank. I have stayed the same for doing homework because every day I did my homework when I arrive to my house so that I could be able to relax and don´t worry about the things to do for school. I have also stayed the same when turning in the assignment because I don´t want to have a low grade so I try to finish the work before class ends and give it to the teacher. I also turn
I would just like to take the time and thank you for all the hard work and dedication you put into the school .You come very early in the morning , yet you leave campus 2-3 hours later than the regular dismissal time . You always know how to put a smile on my face whenever I am feeling a bit down . I appreciate that whenever a person needs someone to talk to , you find time in your busy day to sit down with them and understand what is going on in their lives . You are truly the best advisor anyone can ask for . If it were not for you , I do not know how I would have survived high school up until now . Knowing that someone actually cares about their health and well-being is a key essential a high school student usually lacks
I really want to thank all of my instructors for being involved in my journey in obtaining my degree in organizational leadership. I struggled in school as a child and as a young adult in high school. I never took it serious or realized how important it is once I got older. I made a vow to myself that I would put out effort in my schoolwork and strive for high grades. I received my first 4.0 grade point average this summer and I never thought I would see that day. I only wish my mother would have been alive to see that day. If it was not for the support, love and motivation from my instructors, parents and my wife, I would not have been able to be where I am now in addition to have the strength to do this in my late twenties.
Another thing I am thankful for is the great education I have had In St. Anne so far. I felt this was the right school to be for middle school and I choose right. An education is something not to be taken lightly. St. Anne gives all of the students the best opportunity to learn, but I have learned you have to be very dedicated if you want to be the best. Through this year and next year I hope to be the best I can be. When I first came to St. Anne, having friends from my old school was great but I had the opportunity to make new ones. My friends I made at St. Anne school was a great experience and didn’t feel too difficult because everyone one there was welcoming and I am grateful for that. Lastly, the great teaching of God has taken my faith to a new level. Not to only
Finally, I want to thank my family and friends who have supported me one way or the other during my studies.
An interesting view on sport and peace development is looking at the Cross Cultures Project Association. The CCPA is a humanitarian organization with headquarters in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The CCPA has three major sport programs for various people in countries where a conflict has just ended. Their main focus is to develop and organize programs that promote social integration between various cultures. The programs are designed to provide the community with peaceful alternatives to their country 's violent issues (Cross Cultures Project Association | CCPA, 2015). One program is entitled “Open Fun Football Schools”, or OFFS for short. This program uses the idea of football (soccer) as a way to encourage fellowship and
Before I move on with my speech, there are a few people that I would like to acknowledge. First, the staff members who poured their constant hours, dedication, and passion into making sure that we all ended up here today. Your persistence in our education made sure that whether on the couch or the classroom, that we all became better people over the last four years. Next, I would like to thank my parents. Your continued emotional and financial support over these last eighteen years have been astonishing, and I know that I would not be where I am today without your love, compassion, and motivation. Finally, I would like to thank all of you: the Class of 2017. You all have made sure that we aren’t deepening the divisions of the past, but rather building a stronger future; one where we aren’t judged by what we look like, what we believe in or who we say ‘I love you’ to, but rather by how we interact and treat those around us. For all of that, I say thank you.
I wish to begin by thanking lecturer, Mr.Siham Aboujanah, thank you for the wisdom, understanding, and compassion that you have imparted to me and my ideas. I am grateful to my parents, brothers and sisters for their extreme moral support, encouragement and patience during the course of studies as well as throughout my academic career. No personal development can ever take place without the proper guidance of parents.
