2 I went to bed early last night and did not feel very well during the night we had a pretty high wind with rain and thunder & lightning running close to land this morning course north of East, at 9 o’clock we passed two small Lodges of rock one on the right & the other on the left of the ship land both main and Islands close on the left of the ship into port arrived In port about 7 P.M. Showers of rain as we came in which made it so dark there was but little to be seen, we lay there till 2 o'clock on the 3rd when the small steamer came along side of us and took us off to Panama distant about 5 miles from where we anchored. We got to Panama about 4 o'clock so dark we could see nothing took the cars immediately for Aspinwall when it came daylight we saw some fine sights the Chagres river was very muddy. …show more content…
Charles Hotel to eat breakfast but were sadly disappointed by getting nothing fit to eat but bread & butter after that I went out to see the sights around town and I found it a perfect dirty stinking hole, I never was so sick of any place in my life as I was of it at noon I eat a pretty hearty dinner and then went aboard the
For once me and family were all available that day to see each other and we went there to eat and honestly it could've been better, We have been there plenty of times before and normally the food is good but that day it was a little off . I have my go to foods every Time I go there and one of those things are spicy garlic shrimp and that day the shrimp was way overcooked and mushy. I was so disappointed because that is one
We had been searching for something else to do while we were on our trip and we couldn't find anything.Since we didn't know what to do we went out to dinner in hope to find something to do later in the week while we were there.I do not particularly remember the name of the restaurant since it was chinese but it was absolutely amazing. We had to wait in line for a while since it was a very popular restaurant around that place. Once we got in we grabbed
After breakfast I went to my cabin with Z and we got changed into our swimming suits and we went to the swimming pool. It kinda sucked. It was a salt water pool, so when the waves rocked the boat the salt water rolled toward me in a wave and I had the taste of saltwater in my mouth.
We did a great mass of marvelous things. One of the most amazing things we saw was Hogwarts, the school from Harry Potter. We drove back to the Briscoes’ house and stayed there for about four more days. The fun was not over. The next day we went to Clam Pass Beach in Naples. You would not believe how incredibly soft that sand was! It felt like I was walking on marshmallows! As I watched the sun sink into the ocean I spoke to myself, “This is the best vacation ever.”
It was carrying a lot of people from all over the world. I have never been so excited in my life to go to one place. The anticipation was so overwhelming and once again, I could not wait to get to the resort. After a twenty minute bus ride we got to the resort. Once I stepped off the bus I could remember seeing the beautiful palm trees and feeling the heat of the sun beating on my face. I said to my dad, finally we made it and let the fun begin. We got settled and checked into the hotel. My brother and I decided to check the rest of the resort out. The resort had a crystal clear pool with a bar in it. It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it before in my life. The resort also had ten gourmet restaurants and plenty of entertaining things for us kids to do. So, after we did this we went back to our hotel and stayed in for the night. We were beat and just wanted to get some sleep from the long day of
favorite place to eat in the world. Then we went to the Eiffel Tower obviously not the real one in Paris but it was great! My mom felt a little
Our first stop was San Jose. We arrived late at night, so after we checked into the Don Carlos and found our rooms, a group of us went to go find food. We ended up eating at a pretty fancy restaurant about a block away from the hotel. It was pretty expensive and it was late at night so we got a pizza to go, but this would be nothing like the other things we would eat. The next day we
It’s Friday, August 3rd we will start the voyage for the indies soon. I am on the biggest ship of them all. One of the other ships broke but we just headed on. Gutierrez is a very mean captain. We saw a meteor crash in the ocean some of the other men were scared like little girls but I thought that it was cool. We traveled for a long time with no land in sight. There were also volcanoes and thought it was awesome. I am grateful that I got to come with.
The ocean was so calm and stretched as far as the eye could see. It changed color with the light and the depth, from green to blue to dark blue. At twilight, you can't tell the ocean from the sky. The sky was so blue and not a cloud could be seen for miles. It made me feel at peace and so harmonious. There was the scent of saltwater in the air, a scent like no other. There around we could see sharks swimming calmly in the waters of the Caribbean Sea. They were so beautiful even though they are predators of the sea. On the boat everyone was very quiet, in fear, with the only hope of getting to our destination safely. The boat was overcrowded and no one could move or they would have risked tipping it over and sinking. There were 150 people in a small boat, mostly family with children. Time went by and after a few hours of sailing we heard the magic words when the captain yelled, “Everybody relax we are out of Cuban territory, you are free! We are now on international waters”. That’s when everybody started crying and cheering with excitement. Time once again began to pass by slowly, and I remember at one point the sky started painting in an array of pink, orange and yellow, and before long the pale glow of the moon was beginning to show. Soon enough the sky started to turn black and all the stars starting to shine up in the
After our little trip to San Antonio River Walk we drove back home to Elisabeth for a fast shower and ate some lunch before the next trip to Alamo Museum also here in Texas. I really like Museums because you can see so many things from the history.
It is now the morning of December the 27th 1831, H.M.S. Beagle, with a crew of seventy-three men, we sailed out of Plymouth harbor under this calm wind and drizzly rain. I became seasick almost instantly and I am starting to have second thoughts about the voyage. The Beagle arrived near Madeira Island, its first port-of-call, on 4 January 1832. Unfortunately a violent gust of wind coming from the west prevented our ship from making port. I took little notice of this turn of events, as I felt too ill to even leave this cabin.
Dear Diary, It’s been a long time that I have seen land the sea has been treating us very bad all the terrible waves and my men are starving dieing almost we we’re thinking to ourselves if we will live another day with this kind of weather but I helped my men by giving them pieces of bread and wine the only kind of food we have and I keep on telling my men that we see land tomorrow and one of my members says if I was telling the truth and all I can say was that we will make it don’t worry if anything happens you guys will
It was a buffet style restaurant and was by far the best place to go eat at Cedar Point. You get anything you wanted! From fresh, crispy, salads to gooey mashed potatoes or spicy chinese food. The restaurant had everything! They even had Coke Freestyle Machines which let you make your own pop flavors. It’d been awhile since I had pop, so the taste of an ice cold coca-cola was extremely refreshing. After lunch we went and went on more roller coasters. Both of us were excited to go on the new ride called the Valravn but the wait was over 2 hours long. We decided to go on it despite the long wait in a crowd of loud, sweaty people. The wait surprisingly went by fairly quickly because we were able to keep ourselves entertained by playing games and cracking jokes. Finally the 2 hour wait was over, our feet were throbbing and we were anxious to experience the new amazing ride. We got buckled up and the ride blasted off. We felt the cool breeze in our face and heard the screams of our fellow riders. The adrenaline was rushing through my veins and I never wanted this feeling to stop. I was so happy to be here with my amazing girlfriend celebrating our 5 months
I was sick in an alley, after the funeral. It was the last time I wore black, and I was making a mess of it. After sitting in the damp for a few hours I crawled out of that hellhole to what I thought was the nearest bar, and ordered two neat whiskeys- one for me and the duke, just like we used to after the particularly stupid missions.
on the second day we went walked in world’s most famous avenue Champs-ELysees. It was a great street to those who love walking and shopping. I bought few souvenirs for my family and friends in England.
