I came from Fairview elementary school. I have such a great time here at Rocky Mountain. I have made all sorts of friends.

Manys of student in the country has been attend more than one school; different schools. I also has the experience as well. Three years ago, I spent my freshman years in Amarillo, Texas. The school was known as Tascosa High School. Amarillo is just the small cities in the state, that located in North of Texas. It’s a very small cities, but it has dense population. In 2013, I depart from that school, and lane in Southport High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. That a heavy transformation from there to here. My high school building in Amarillo was much smaller than in Indianapolis, but the school population was larger there. When Southport High School carries about 2,200 students, Tascosa has about 2,500 students in 2013. However, Southport
My first day in middle school didn’t seem that much different than elementary school only thing that was different was that we switched classes but we had our teachers telling us where to go for our next classes so it wasn’t hard. On like the third day of middle school I was very confused because we had all the big 7th and 8th graders there and the teachers weren’t helping us and telling bus where to go anymore so I would be late to class and my teachers would be mad. It was hard for me to transition to having several teachers instead of one because all of my teachers were very different we had some teachers that were cool and then we had some strict teachers. The work didn’t get much harder math did but not any other subjects, math was very difficult
A sixteen year old girl becomes a warrior when in 1954 the Supreme Court ruled Brown v. Board of Education; there Melba and eight other teenagers are chosen to integrate Little Rock’s Central High School. A warrior is a person who is brave or experienced solider or fighter. Young Melba had to become a warrior when walking into the battlefield of Central High School. Melba had the weapons of God, friends, and family; people who stood up for her and helped her through her hardships. “A girl smiled at me, another gave me directions, still another boy whispered the page I should turn to in our textbook. This is going to work out. It takes more time than I thought. But we’re going to have integration in Little Rock (Beals 117).”While being taunted by her schoolmates and their parents, threatened by mobs, attacked by lit sticks of dynamite, and wounded by acid sprayed in her eyes, however, she never backed down and became an unexpected hero to many. Thesis statement……………
Going into middle school for me, was terrifying. I didn’t know anyone, and making friends was on the top
I attended fifth grade at Northside Elementary School, but was very excited to get over to Martha Brown Middle School!! I remember, even though I was excited to be in the sixth grade, I was nervous! I remember on the first day of middle school, I was lost trying to get to classes. I could not remember my locker combination and had to ask for help from the very tall Mr. O’Dell. I just felt that nervous because I could not remember what seat to sit in and the classes seemed like they were going to be difficult.
In the hypothetical case, the Rockshire High School official had reasonable cause to search Britney Sullivan’s cell phone for evidence that she and other students cheated on their AP History exam. The administrator suspects Britney because (1) the students scored extremely high on the AP History test (2) Britney has been in trouble in the past and is in the AP History class and (3) a teacher received a reliable tip from another student describing how the students cheated using social media. According to the Supreme Court case (New Jersey v. TLO, 469 U.S. 325 (1985).) the school administrator had the right to search the contents of the student's cell phone, since the administrator had reasonable cause to suspect the student of school policy infractions. The court’s decision in this case is that the student officials do not hold the same accountability of the police under search and seizure. Police are held to the strict accountability of probable cause while school officials according to the Supreme Court have only to prove reasonable cause. In this hypothetical case the supreme court would support the decision of the Rockshire High School administration to search a student's cell phone as evidence for cheating based on the fact that the administrator had evidence to support reasonable cause. The Supreme Court states, “reasonable grounds
When I got use to the school I did not feel like a little kid.I had new friends and all my classes were fun. The teacher
Part of the Russell County Middle School (RCMS) mission statement declares that we as an organization will help students accomplish what they are capable of. Procedures are in place to assist special education students and cater to gifted students, but some students seem to fall through the cracks. About five percent of the student population is retained each year and about one percent fail to capitalize on the opportunity to be promoted mid-year the following school year. A review of these students’ average data showed that absenteeism and discipline were issues, but that the students performed on or close to grade level on standardized tests.

Sixth grade the first year of middle school. Some think it will be really hard and some think it will be a piece of cake. For me the first few days are going pretty good. I’ve got all my classes down. There are no mean teachers. Plus, the homework is extremely easy and there is not a lot.
The traditional public school that I chose and that I am observing is called Eagle Rock Jr./ Sr. High School. This public school is the only one with a 7-12 grade configuration with comprehensive junior and senior high school. They offer the magnet program for gifted students in grades 7-12. Moreover, they offer a fully authorized IB middle school year Programme to students from 7-10, and the IB Diploma Programme for students in grades 11-12. This school was established in 1927 and the campus is around 40 acres. This campus includes the current main building, gymnasium facilities, auditorium, tennis courts, and a swimming pool. Eagle Rock High School ranks number 15 in LA county, number 43 in CA, and number 343 in the nation. From the last data recorded in 2011-2012, the total student population consists of 8 percent of Asia students, 21 percent Filipino, 0.2 percent Pacific Islander, 2 percent African American, 58 percent Hispanic, 10 percent White, and 1.0 American Indian/ Alaskan. There are approximately 2, 391 enrolled in this school year from which 34 percent are gifted or talented, 11 percent students with disabilities, 6 percent English learners, and 25 percent are reclassified fluent in English proficient. According to the US News and World Report, about 65 percent of the students are considered to be economically disadvantaged. From these students, 51 percent were eligible for the free lunch program and with a household income of $29,995 for a family of four. The
I completed my practicum at West Middle School in Taylor with Mrs. Kline, a Social Studies teacher. I had a wonderful time and gained some experience that will help me develop into an efficient teacher. Mrs. Kline is a great instructional teacher full of knowledge and wisdom but it’s the way she managed her class that really grabbed my attention. For this reflection, I want to focus on how she managed her class and why she was so successful.
For my fieldwork, I observed at Mahopac Middle School. I visited a 7th grade social studies classroom on 3/31/17. The lesson was very interesting to observe and helped to inform my perception of the school environment. Observing at the this middle school has helped give me incredible insight to teaching social studies.
Have you ever built a house or saw one be built? I ask this because in today's society construction is needed everyday from roads, houses, commercial building and helping people rebuild their homes from disasters. Today’s society is full of new and creative ways to help around the community. Construction is something that most people in the community are not very fond of, due to the fact that it can inconvenience our lives. Although, sometimes it is taken for granted just because it is actually so crucial in our lives.
