My Perfect Niche Mary Doe, come here and see our new computer!” my mother exclaimed from her room. I raced to where she was, fueled by my youthful curiosity. When I entered the room, a strong euphoric feeling rushed over me: I owned my first computer. After my mother had taught me the simple basics of computers, I began playing on the computer each day, growing more knowledgeable. From that first monumental day, I had began to gain a true affinity for electronics and learning. This affinity has led me to pursue a career in the STEM field — a Computer and Information Systems Managers. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, “Computer and Information systems managers, often called information technology managers (IT managers or IT projects managers) plan, coordinate, and direct computer- related activities in an organization,” (Bureau of Labor Statistics). Being a computer and information manager is the perfect job for me because it allows me to use my passions as a great career. My knowledge and interests in life defines who I am. As a young child, I have always loved mathematics. It is gratifying to me when I solve an extremely difficult equation.
