Living a healthy lifestyle is a goal many individuals have and that could either be eating vigorous nutritious meals or being active outside in the world, going to the gym for instance. The condition of being physically fit and healthy is what fitness is. Not many people realize the importance of it until they can’t fit in their own jeans. Many individuals argue that there isn’t enough time for the gym or that there is no point in going because it can cause injury, but in reality, it’s all worth it after you realize the outcomes of working out and eating healthy. There is always time to make your life fit and healthier. In order to join this discourse community, a person must learn the typical ways people in that community interact and argue. I will demonstrate that I have entered this discourse community of fitness by obtaining necessary knowledge, establishing strong credibility, and learning to influence other members of the community to strive for more.
The fitness industry is one that is rarely thought of as an electronic industry. However, in recent years, more and more fitness related smartphone applications including workout planners, calorie counters, support forums, and many more fitness centered resources have become available to the public. This big move from time sensitive face-to-face fitness instruction to convenient face-to-screen instruction has changed the way that the fitness industry operates. With the rising rollout of fitness apps geared toward the convenience of the user, fitness instructors, personal trainers, and the like have had to go to extreme measures in order to keep up with the rapidly changing digital fitness environment. This paper will outline the evolution of the fitness industry to illustrate its move from an entirely brick and mortar operation to a largely electronic industry. This paper will also discuss the reasons behind the switch and the pros and cons associated with each way of getting fit.

I will strive to be an elite fitness professional in the online world.
The Making of the Fittest by Sean B. Carroll is a book that focuses DNA and how much we have learned from it. DNA has revealed so much when it comes to the evolution of different species and how they have adapted to forever changing environments.
The FitnessGram is series of tests used to measure the aerobic capacity, physical endurance, height, weight, and flexibility of students. These tests are administered to students by teachers in their physical education classes to gauge their student’s physical capabilities. These tests are mandatory for all able-bodied students to take. The FitnessGram isn’t particularly well liked by students, however many teachers do claim taking them allows students to make healthier choices in their lives. The following paragraphs will outline some benefits and drawbacks of FitnessGram testing.
The philosophy I carry for my studies in athletic training incorporates a few fundamental areas, which I believe are of importance to the athletic training program and will continue on into the labor force after my education has been completed. These elements include: the profession itself, to include advocating for patients and professional causes related to athletic training. The functional aspects of my educational path. A continued honorable conduct while working with clients as well as outside in the general public, and a professional rapport with not only athletes, but my colleagues as well. I incorporate these several areas in my professional philosophy because, I understand they embody points of view which aid in developing the manner in which I carry myself and the behavior I present to the community.
Another method of training that has shown to be successful in improving acceleration is power and weight training supported by research from (Chelly, 2009). Mansfield athletics club; Thomas; Spinks and Tricoli.
Works in conjunction with other sports-related individuals, such as strength and conditioning staff, to create safe and effective exercise plans in terms of “fitness, nutrition and conditioning programs [that are] customized to meet individual student-athlete needs”.
Operationally speaking, the two franchises operate in a very similar manner with some notable differences. Planet Fitness and Snap Fitness are both self-service facilities open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The support offered by each respective franchisor is essentially the same as it relates to training, marketing and advertising (see Table 2).
When it comes to fitness, clients believe they will see instant results. A certain percent of individuals are impatient and expect to see changes within a week of exercises. Whereas the other percent will understand it takes more than a few sets of sit ups and planks to achieve their ultimate goal. Over the course of the summer, I was able to see the different workout personalities at D1 Jackson’s “Boot Camp” sessions.
“In its present form, personal training only dates back a few decades, yet it is among the fastest growing professions in the U.S.” (Holt). In the 80’s and 90’s personal trainers were predominantly heavy lifters who looked like they could soon compete in a bodybuilding contest. The muscular physique automatically qualified each of them as “guru” in the fitness world and helped quickly build a clientele. Towards the late-90's, the situation started to change: gyms became less and less of an intimidating environment for a wide category of people with no desire to become “huge.” Personal trainers of a new generation expanded their specialization to weight loss, cardio vascular
“Fitness trainers and instructors lead, instruct, and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular exercises (exercises for the heart and blood circulation), strength training, and stretching. They work with people of all ages and skill levels.” (Fitness Trainers, 2012). Trainers also preform fitness assessments to measure their client’s
An oxymoron appeared to exist between Darwin’s theory of natural selection (1859) and the definition of altruism (West et al., 2006). Hamilton’s theory of inclusive fitness (1964) appeared to mediate this problem. However, the theory does not explain altruistic acts towards non-kin in line with natural selection. Reciprocal altruism (Trivers, 1971), indirect altruism (Alexander, 1987) and strong reciprocity (Gintis, 2000) have been proposed to resolve this conflict. It is of note that behaviour in all theories has been noted in animals, but will not be discussed further. Instead, the essay will focus on which theories are most relevant when understanding human sociality, with the author explaining why no sole theory is seen to describe the phenomenon. All theories will be discussed in relation to evolutionary stable strategies (ESS), which refers to plans that when adopted by a majority of members in a population that restrict any other action existing, which could yield higher reproductive success (Smith & Price, 1973).
