Many believe that they should be paid because they put in all the effort, spend all their time, and earn all the money the National Collegiate Athletic Association is receiving. College players should be paid because there the ones who bring the money to the schools sometimes more than their scholarship is worth.

However, in recent years, more and more fitness related smartphone applications including workout planners, calorie counters, support forums, and many more fitness centered resources have become available to the public. This big move from time sensitive face-to-face fitness instruction to convenient face-to-screen instruction has changed the way that the fitness industry operates. With the rising rollout of fitness apps geared toward the convenience of the user, fitness instructors, personal trainers, and the like have had to go to extreme measures in order to keep up with the rapidly changing digital fitness environment. I agree with you in terms of Betty Friedan supporting a choice feminist. Her statement that we should not ignore anymore the voice within women that says “I want something more than my husband, and my children and my home” supports choice feminism. However, there is also a problem with this women choosing what they think is right. Women who are voicing their feelings and problems about their family life routine are being dismissed by the society. Rather, they are given solutions on how they can improve their life in their house. The goal of 3 WINS Fitness is to increase physical activity through knowledge in order to decrease chronic diseases for residents in the City of San Fernando. The leading cause of death and premature death in San Fernando is Coronary Heart Disease (“Mortality in Los Angeles County”, 2010). Of those adults with Coronary Heart Diseases, 23.9% are diagnosed with Hypertension while 28.4% are diagnosed with High Cholesterol (Los Angeles County of Public Health, 2017). 3 WINS Fitness is a free fitness program located throughout recreational facilities in the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles, that provides members of the community group exercise opportunities while also nutrition classes to promote healthier eating and overall lifestyle.
When it comes to fitness, clients believe they will see instant results. A certain percent of individuals are impatient and expect to see changes within a week of exercises. Whereas the other percent will understand it takes more than a few sets of sit ups and planks to achieve their ultimate goal. Over the course of the summer, I was able to see the different workout personalities at D1 Jackson’s “Boot Camp” sessions.
During each session, I learned about my client’s goals and what they were looking to gain out of each workout session. For example, after talking with Dana, I discovered that she has to run a mile over the summer, so she really wanted to strengthen her cardiovascular endurance through Crossfit workouts. Moreover, as Olivia’s client, I believe she was really receptive to my comments on what exercises I wanted to focus on to achieve my goals of strengthening my abs and upper body.
The philosophy I carry for my studies in athletic training incorporates a few fundamental areas, which I believe are of importance to the athletic training program and will continue on into the labor force after my education has been completed. These elements include: the profession itself, to include advocating for patients and professional causes related to athletic training. The functional aspects of my educational path.
