I currently have 85 volunteer hours, but I continue to volunteer. I volunteered at my local branch of Habitat for Humanity where I cleaned and restored furniture that was later sold. The profit was donated to local charities in my county. I also volunteered at the local International and Greek Festivals. I assisted the vendors at these festivals. These festivals expose the people of my city to different elements of many cultures. I joined and assisted the FSU Office of College Access Programs, which is an office at my local university where a group of college readiness programs are located. These programs provide help to high school students in my county, and I help by doing tasks for the people who work there and helping at their events. I volunteered at local museums and participated in The Second Harvest Food Drive, an annual event in which my school collects cans for our local Second Harvest Food
The four pillars of National Honor Society (NHS) include scholarship, service, leadership, and character. I have already received this application opportunity due to meeting the requirements of the scholarship portion of NHS, which requires a strong commitment to learning and putting effort towards achieving high grades in the classroom. I intend to benefit the remaining three pillars of service, leadership, and character through my willingness to work for others free of reward, initiative to lead my peers, and optimal decision making.
Being inducted into National Honors Society requires a student to demonstrate all of the four qualities many of our role models in the present and in the past have possessed, which include: scholarship, service, leadership and character. As I’m considered a candidate for this group, I already possess the quality of scholarship and it is my duty in this paper to show that I hold the other three important attributes needed to qualify for this institution.
I think I should be considered for a membership for the National Junior Honor Society or NJHS because I am a different individual with a dream. My dream is to fulfill my parents dream and make them proud. My parents have done so much for me and they deserve to be repaid. My parents want me to go to a good college and graduate
The National Honors Society allows students to be build and create traits that are essential in a successful adult. I truly believe that hold many of these traits and joining the National Honor Society will grant me the opportunity to expand on these traits and grow as a person. Thus far I have focus greatly on the scholarship aspect of NHS and have been dedicated to my academics. I have held my GPA above 4.0 and have always been devoted to maintaining that high level of academic success. The skills I have shown in devoting myself to my academics can be easily translated into my dedication for the other aspects of leadership, service and character. Having previously held a officer role in the National Junior Honor Society I have gained experience
After doing some research on the National Honor Society, I learned that one must demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service in order to be considered for membership into the National Honor Society. Therefore, by showing that I possess each of these four qualities, I can contribute to Ocoee High School as a member of the National Honor Society.
I was blessed to be among the students selected to represent NHS, and what I truly like about it is it somehow focuses on the values of the students, values such as honesty, integrity, responsibility, and leadership. Students that are part of the NHS must be good role models all the time, whether they are at school, home, or any other place. Another reason why I like this organization is because when we participate in events there are a lot of students involved. I consider this beneficial, because when we communicate effectively with people whose personalities differ greatly from ours, we can more likely work much better as a team. Through NHS I have helped in a 5k run, helped set up for induction, and attended an Easter church event. I hope to help in many more future volunteer
I am very honored and proud to be considered as an applicant for the National Honor Society. I am aware that this is an honorable and distinguishable organization and that not everyone has such an opportunity. I believe that I would be a valuable and serviceable member to the Nation Honor Society organization at my school, Piedmont Community Charter School, as well as within the community.
First of all, I would like to thank you and the Honor Society for this humbling opportunity for me to join the National Honor Society. This is a chance that I have been hoping for since the first time I heard of this organization, how it can help those who belong to it and how they have in turn help those of their community. I hope that this expression of my thankfulness has not been a waste of your time.
I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered for the National Honor Society. I must admit that this is something that I have been looking forward to since the beginning of my high school career. I believe that this organization does great things in society and that I can play a part in furthering the impression that is made. I like to think that I deserve this honor and this chance because I have worked very hard to get here.
If I were to be accepted into the National Junior Honor Society, which is one of the highest honors that can be awarded, I would consider myself to be a very lucky person. Throughout my life, I've always considered myself as someone with good character and values.I've always prided myself in always doing the right thing and helping others. In addition, I view myself as a leader, not a follower. Being a leader comes naturally to me. I'm a leader amongst my friends and siblings. They always look up to me when they have a problem or when they need advice. I have a good standard education with an A average which will help me achieve my goals in the future.
On behalf of Beaufort Middle School, myself, Dr. Tomon and The Faculty Council we congratulate you and your student on being selected for membership to the Beaufort Middle School Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. The NJHS is a program that celebrates the success of many of our hardest working students, based upon academic achievement as well as the demonstration of outstanding character, service, leadership, and citizenship. These criteria for selection form the foundation upon which the organization and its activities are built. Members of NJHS take pride in their accomplishments and work diligently toward the goal of attaining a superior education and contributing to their school and community. They do their best to provide positive role models for their peers.
My sophomore year I was inducted into National Honor Society and in my Junior and Senior year I was a member of National Honor Society. National Honor Society is an organization that benefits the students who volunteer within the community and who achieves high academics. Within the group, I have done many projects such as cleaning the highway, the food bank, and the nursing home. It is a great honor to be a part of this club and give back to our community.
What is National Honor Society? National Honor Society is a group of prestige students that are leaders, scholars, role models, and serve their communities. These students go on to accomplish great things. I am going to give examples of how I demonstrated the qualities of National Honor Society, scholarship, leadership, service, character.
It is unbelievable that this year is my last year in Charlestown High School. As I look back at the past three years, there were several poignant moments when I was struggling with my classes and would have given up trying to achieve my goals. But as a diligent student, I chose to endure those moments. And that is how I become an outstanding student today. National Honor Society honors students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Being nominated to become a member of the National Honor Society is a highly prestigious honor, and I am very grateful to be a candidate.
Freshman year of high school was a scary, but an exciting time. Going into a new building with new teachers and three other grades is terrifying. But this story is going to talk about my most memorable moment: getting my letter and being accepted into Freshmen Academy Honor Society. Winter of early 2014, i got my letter in the mail about being eligible to apply to be in Freshman Academy Honor Society. Which shocked me, but it also made be happy. It showed me that I’m capable of a 3.0 GPA or even higher.
