There are many types of natural radio frequency exposure and some of them are lightning strikes along with infrared radiation. These come from the sky and surprisingly the Earth itself. Cell phones and cell phone towers use radio frequency when they are transmitting and receiving signals. When scientists test radio frequency exposure they take a glass of water and set a cell phone nearby the glass. This causes the glass of water to heat up. This leads to the hypothesis that this could heat up parts of the brain and cause a tumor to form (American Cancer Society).
