Video games are a huge part of everyday life, most likely you have heard of or played at least one nintendo game, or tetris, or gameboy, or something on the xbox. Children of all ages play video games, but recently the question has come up about whether or not they are negatively affecting children. There is a simple answer to that question and it is no. Children who play video games show better performance in perception, attention and cognition. Playing video games helps children emotionally. This can better educate students and control their attention for a longer period of time (Griffiths). The students like video games, applying a learning aspect to them that relates to the subject they are on, makes the subject easier to understand for the children and easier for the teachers to teach.
