1. New England Patriots: 8-0 (1) The Patriots continue to roll after winning 27-10 on Sunday over the Redskins. Brandon Lafell got back on track, finishing with five catches and 102 yards. I would say this was the worst the Patriots have looked all season on offense and, despite this, they still scored 27 points easily. The team has scored in and NFL record 31 straight quarters. The one low spot for the Patriots is the loss of Dion Lewis, who is out of the remainder of the season with a torn ACL. Despite this awful news, I still believe the Patriots will finish 16-0. 2. Cincinnati Bengals: 8-0 (2) The “Andy Dalton Dud Game” still hasn’t happened yet, and I don’t think it will any time soon. This Bengals teams is much different than the Bengals teams of the previous four seasons. Dalton is playing at an all-time high level, the defense looks like one of best in the league, and they are one of the deepest teams in the league. At 8-0 the Bengals have some breathing room in the AFC North. They sit four games up in the loss column on the second place Steelers. 3. Arizona Cardinals: 6-2 (3) The Cardinals lead the NFL in point differential this season. Carson Palmer has lost two games as a starting quarterback dating back to the 2013 regular season. With a two game lead in the NFC West, this weeks Sunday Night Matchup against the Seahawks is the team’s biggest test to date. 4. Carolina Panthers: 8-0 (6) After starting the season 5-0, the Panthers have proven to us they
On defense, the Patriots have one of the best linebacking corps in the league. Headlined by run-stuffer Dont’a Hightower and swiss army knife Jamie Collins, New England’s group of linebackers is elite. Adding Terrance Knighton to former first-round pick Malcom Brown makes a scary interior defensive line. There’s a ton of talent on the pass rushing front, as well as in the defensive backfield, so as a whole, New England’s defense should rank in the top 10 next season.
Why will they win the super bowl people might ask because they have great teamwork skills and have a good offence of coordinator. People might say they don't have anyone good on there team. That would be not true with Demarco Murray , Darren Sproles and Sam Bradford. This three make a good team. They are fast good at screens and can run.
On a first down pass, a penalty on the Panthers gave Denver an additional 15 yards. However, Manning’s arm was hit on the next play as he attempted a pass and Carolina recovered the ball on the 50 yard line. The Panther offense could not capitalize on the turnover and were forced to settle for a 39 yard field goal by Gano. This time it was good, and it inched the Panthers closer to Denver, but they still trailed the Broncos 16-10.
“Including playoff games, no team over a long term has averaged as many wins as New England, 13.8, in a season. The Patriots’ 13.8 wins is a full win better, on average, In 16 seasons beginning in 2001, New England has won five Super Bowls and 14 division titles. ” It is one accomplishment to win in the regular season and be dominant when the games don't mean as much, however when the lights are bright and all eyes, cameras, and spectators are watching you on the biggest stage in the National Football League and you deliver with wins consistently is a testament to the strength and unbelievable coaching by Bill
With Bernie Kosar leading the way with 3854 passing yards the browns win a team record of 12 games on the way to capturing the afc central with a 12-4 record. In the division playoffs the browns find their self down by 10 points to the new york jets at municipal stadium. The score was the browns came back and tied the game 10-10. After going into overtime twice Matt Bhar kicked the winning field goal to win the game for the browns 10-13. It was the second longest game in NFL history.
Super Bowl 51 included the New England Patriots vs. the Atlanta Falcons. This was the 9th Super Bowl the Patriots had attended. The pressure was on for the Flacons. The first quarter of the game neither team scored. As the second quarter began the Falcons drove several touchdowns, leaving the Patriots behind. Throughout the third quarter, Falcons continued scoring. It wasn’t long before the Patriots caught up quickly and both teams were tied at the very last straw of the game. As the game went into overtime with a cut-throat shocking ending, with yet another Patriots win.
Watson has thrown more touchdowns through six games than any rookie since the AFL-NFL merger, and the Texans have set a team record with four games in a row of at least 30 points with Watson starting. While he does that, the Browns continue their search for their quarterback.
The Bengals take a chance on the electric Jackson, the polar opposite of current starter Andy Dalton. He’ll need a few seasons on the bench to develop, but could blossom in the right system.
In today’s games, the stats are not very impressive. The Bears current starting QB is Matt Berkley. Completing only 129 passes for 1611 yards is not an impressive feat in the NFL. He has only thrown 8 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. The leading receiver, Cameron Meredith, has 66 catches for 888 yards. He has fumbled the ball 3 times and lost the ball twice during those 3 fumbles. His
For the third time in the Tom Brady era, the Patriots are 6-0. The other two times (2004 and 2007) the team went on to play in the Super Bowl era. Tom Brady is arguably playing the best football of his career. The team is extremely versatile, co constantly adapting their game plans to fit their opponents. One week after running up a storm against the Colts, the Patriots ran the ball a mere nine times, five oh which were by Tom Brady.
Despite Andy Dalton playing his worst game of the season, the Bengals got it done Sunday, beating the Steelers 16-10. This win showed me a lot about the Bengals. They traveled into Pittsburgh and got the job done. In the past, this is a game the Bengals would have laid
Entering the 2016 NFL season, the AFC North had statistically been the best division in football in terms of average wins per season (8.35 wins per team) over the past decade. Keep in mind that the division includes the hapless Cleveland Browns, which have had one winning season over that span, and the feat becomes all the more impressive.
Yardage doesn't seem to be the issue, considering, they've surpassed 400 yards of total offense three games in a row, beating the 2012 record. They're averaging 9.2 points in the fourth quarter, which is 3rd in the NFL, but only 23.6 points per game, ranking them at 13.
NFL is the highest level of professional American football in United States. There are 32 teams at any time playing for NFL. Although NFL hosts several games all round the year but Super Bowl is undoubtedly the most popular game of the year. It is the champion ship game
One of the team’s biggest strengths is their powerhouse offense. But the man under center is what makes that powerhouse offense run. That man is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks in the league if not the best. His statistics are unbelievable. He has the highest quarterback rating in NFL history at 103.8, while the second closest is 98.9. He has thrown 300 touchdowns to only 74 interceptions. That being a 4:1 touchdown to interception ratio, also the best in NFL history. One of his most impressive streaks was his success at home. In 2015, he threw an interception at home. The last one he threw at home before that was in 2012. He went three years without throwing an interception at home. Truly a remarkable feat. In 2011, Aaron had one of the best seasons
