Dear,
A little over a year ago, you were involved in a church survey, with the intent that we would be able to analyze your feedback that you gave to us, as it pertains to what potentially North Ridge Church’s core values were, or would potentially become. Needless to say, this is a very big process, and we (NRC’s executive staff & Elders), have taken your feedback seriously, prayerfully, and have had many, many meetings to eventually reach the place that we believe has led to the following core values.
Now before you read through what we’ve drafted (thanks again for your feedback), I would like to give you a little more clarity as to what and why, mission, core values, and goals are so necessary for a local church.
When done right, our core values, mission statement, key functions, and goals should all tie to each other, with the hope that we will stay laser targeted on fulfilling God’s overarching mission for North Ridge Church. The key for all of us is understanding how each of these parts differs, and then finding a way to tie them together. With God’s help we will.

It should be short and easy to memorize. Ours is: “To Relationally Love People To Christ-centered Wholeness”. We believe our mission is specific enough that anybody can understand it.
Key functions are put in place as the strategy with which we will accomplish our mission. You know our functions as “CREW”. C-aring for the poor (missions), R-eaching the lost, E-quipping the found, and W-orshiping God in everything we do.
Core Values on the other hand, are what support our mission, shape our culture, and reflect what NRC really values. They are NRC’s principles and beliefs. They rarely change, and that is why we didn’t approach drafting them lightly. They will govern how we live our lives in community with Christ-followers, and those outside the Christian
(Romans 15:6; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 10:31) He continues by sharing how “the purpose of the church is for the born-again believers within, as well as for the church’s community outside of the local body, whereas the mission, is reserved for the believers and it is what they are supposed to be doing, (110) Malphur also provides the five elements of mission; “first, it is broad, comprehensive, overarching, it is the primary goal which takes precedent over any and all other church mandates and goals. Secondly, it is brief, consisting of a sentence in length. Thirdly, it is Biblical, Fourth, it is a statement, and the fifth element-it is what the ministry should be doing.” (112-113) “Once the mission is developed, it must be communicated.” (126) Vision must be clear, compelling, a picture of what the mission will look like, (128) and it is the ministry’s future. It is personal and once developed it too must be communicated. (143) According to Malphurs, “it can and must be” (128- The author shares how “the mission under no circumstances changes, however, the visions detail and the words used to express them will

The decision as to what the school’s mission statement should be is often defined by the type of school and its outside links. For example, a faith school would more than likely include reference to its church or God. This would be reflected in the school’s practices in the form of daily worship or prayer and visits to its
Galindo analyzes that the fundamental “mission” of a congregation is the same as any other congregation that exists in any part of the world. He argues that though every congregation has a mission and a vision, at the same time, it shares a basic common mission. (43) This reminds me of my home church The First Church of Evanston and my Field Site, The Evanston Vineyard Church. Both churches have a common mission of welcoming people to the church, irrespective of their ethnic, cultural, racial, and economic and, gender backgrounds. The mission is to help people be received in the house of God with due and deserved Christian love so that they feel loved and welcomed. Both these churches encourage church attendees to attend the service and receive the Eucharist.
In order to discern the capacity to give, it is important to be familiar with the demographic data related to the topic of stewardship and the overall capacity of Christians spanning from worldwide to Millennials in Johnson County, Kansas attending LBC. For this section, the demographic content starts with worldwide and US statistics. Then shift from Kansas City (metro-wide), to county (Johnson County, Kansas), then community context for Lenexa Baptist Church. The demographics then will focus more on Millennials and then Millennials at Lenexa Baptist
I had the privilege of interviewing Brian Bagwell for this project. He is, in my opinion, one of most humble, wisest man we have at Church of the Highlands. Once you get through a joke or two, the fruits of the spirit radiate from his personality. A man that I have the privilege to call my mentor and teacher. He is currently serving on staff at the Church of the Highlands as a Dream Team Coordinator. His shares the vision of the church which is passed down from our senior pastor, Chris Hodges. Evangelism is the definition of the church so to speak, Church of the Highlands stands behind the final authority of God’s word which is the bible. It is often said among the staff “we do not argue the essentials, but we can disagree the non essentials.” The church believes and acts in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ, and helping people move through four steps our God has outlined in the Great Commission. Our Church exists to see people saved, delivered, redeemed, and fulfilled. This is accomplished with four systems that allow the people to move through the four steps. The first is weekend services to allow them to know God (saved), small groups to find freedom (delivered), growth track to discover purpose (redeemed), and dream team to be fulfilled and make a difference (fulfilled). This vision is how the church evangelizes (Bagwell). This vision is clear to all members of the church who call Church of the Highlands home, and even clear to people
The strategic objectives that reflect a biblical , or Christian worldview .The way I see the elements of the world view exemplified .The first one Colorado Christian university shall teach students how to learn .A world view for me is time I look at the way I have been challenge to manage time wisely . Time management is very important when getting the assignment completed .While trying to go from work, church, school it don’t seem like it’s a lot of time left to do much more but by the grace of God I have been able to complete each session . Time has never really been as important to me until I became a Leader in the Church and also decided to go back to school. I try my best not wasting my time I learn that there are so much more opportunities that I can have when I use that time right .Someone once told me to either make the time I have to be somewhere and get things done or beat the time so far I been beating that time and it shows that I am dependable and get the job done .The second world view exemplified Be a servant of the Church a world view that I see here is that people think that it’s only the ones that have an official office position is able to be a servant. I think we all can serve in the house of the lord until both believers and nonbelievers truly become a member they won’t fully understand what it takes to have a church flow , function and operate decent and in order . I heard some say because of certain religious belief it
The mission defines the organization’s purpose, values, and core goals, providing the framework for all other plans. It is simple, vivid and compelling so that the employees from the janitor to the CEO, from the customers to investors can easily understand.

Victory Baptist Church is a case study of revitalization. It serves to show that it is possible that younger churches can become complacent very quickly when they experience growth at such an awesome rate. Victory Baptist Church seems to have a promising future in sight. One of the main goals of the associate pastor is to keep a sense of urgency and change occurring. Most of all, he know that this work cannot be done without the help of the Holy
Dr. Convey affirmed the purpose of a family mission statement is “to create a nurturing place of faith, order, truth, love, happiness and relaxation and to offer an opportunity for every person to become independent and effectively interdependent to serve worthy purposes in society through understanding and living the gospel of Jesus Christ.” He named four things a family mission statement should include: 1. Characteristics of the home, 2. Effect upon people to become independent and effectively interdependent, 3. Effort to family to be of significance, and 4. Source of the
