Introduction
The organization I have chosen to focus on is the PepsiCo. PepsiCo began in 1900?s and has currently merger with Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay. Pepsi-Cola was founded in 1902 by Caleb Davis Brandham, a pharmacist in New Bern, North Carolina. Frito-Lay was founded in 1932 by Charles Elmer Doolin.(Purdy,2015). PepsiCo is a global leader in the complementary food and beverage industry with over 22 brands and 63 million net product. This organization has a global and worldly mindset by having global divisions around the world. PepsiCo global divisions are located in North America, Latin America, Europe Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Middle East, and Africa. PepsiCo strives to be a worldly organization thru the strong creation of cross-cultural leaders.
Content and Analysis PepsiCo Chairman and Ceo India Nookyi believes that the organization should have ?performance with a purpose?www.pepsico.com .The worldly - mindset at PepsiCo is evident thru the development of global leaders, talent sustainability, diversity and inclusion and professional development. . It?s vital that leaders have professional development to be and maintain a competitive edge in the global marketplace. Gosling and Mintzberg(2003) states that managers should be developed the managerial mind -sets as a new way to structure management
PepsiCo, Inc., one of American largest food and beverage icon took its name in 1965, when Pepsi-Cola Company merged with Frito-Lay, Inc. As one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world, their mission is to provide consumers around the world with delicious, affordable, convenient and complementary foods and beverages from wholesome breakfasts to healthy and fun daytime snacks and beverages to evening treats. The author was given the task to choose two segments of the general environment that would rank highest in the influence on the corporation and to assess how these segments affect the PepsiCo. Inc., and the industry in which it operates.
PepsiCo is a huge, multi-billion-dollar company that invests its time and money into creating loveable and lasting products for consumers all over the world. PepsiCo has been on the rise for years and if things continue to prosper like they do know, they should be a lasting company for many more years to continue. PepsiCo relates to their customers and continues to create new and improved products that bring publicity to their company, while still producing the recognizable products that that they are known for.

PepsiCo is one of the largest U.S based food and beverage companies. With a strong heritage. What is now, PepsiCo was first established in the late 1800’s. What started as a small one-man operation has grown into a food and beverage megabrand, with strong competition from both sectors of the food and beverage industry. With fierce competition from companies such as Coca-Cola, Kraft foods and ConAgra, PepsiCo must continue to innovate while providing customers with quality products that are priced competitively to remain relevant.

In analyzing PepsiCo as an organization through Bolman and Deal?s (1997) frames of organizations the key elements of the structural and human resource frames as well as a review the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats that may affect Pepsi Co as an organization will be addressed.

A range of worldwide famous brand names includes Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Lay’s, Doritos, Quaker, Tropicana, Tostitos, Walkers, Cheetos, Ruffles, Fritos and others. PepsiCo generated net revenues of more than USD 65 billion in 2013, where 35% of revenue from developing and emerging markets (PepsiCo Annual Report). Pepsi products are available in more than 200 countries. The company has its own bottling manufacture and distribution facilities. Pepsi started its journey in 1998.It was invented by a pharmacist named ‘Caleb bardham’. This brand is operating business in more than 200 countries.
This merger is highly beneficial to both parties since them more or less substitutes for one
Marketing is “an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationship in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders” (Kotler & Keller, 2009, p. 5). The main scope of marketing is to identify and to meet social and human needs. PepsiCo understands that as an international food and beverage organization that reaches millions of consumers daily, the agenda of its marketing campaigns can determine the success or failure of the company.
Pepsi –cola was started in the summer of 1898 in New Bern, North Carolina by Pharmacist Caleb Bradnham. PepsiCo Inc. started in 1965 with the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay. Since then, PepsiCo has continued to grow, adding new brands and product lines meeting the demands of the market. Throughout the years, they have strived and worked toward environmental sustainability. The ability to be financial stable gives PepsiCo the ability to give back and donate to those communities they are located in. PepsiCo’s mission to provide performance with purpose means delivering sustainable growth by investing in a healthier future for people and our planet. PepsiCo is continually increasing their triple bottom line.
Pepsi needs to globalize because its home market is not only saturated but because of health consciousness is shrinking. On the other hand, it want to enter markets abroad where there are less educated people who can be persuade to drink Pepsi. It is this search for markets that has driven Pepsi to markets like India.
In addition, PepsiCo International division includes all the PepsiCo snacks, beverages, and food items sold outside North America. They are doing extremely well in emerging markets such as Russia, the Middle East, and Turkey. As for Chile, the sales are a little lousy. They find that the Power of One strategy works there since Frito-Lay has 90 percent of the market. Again, the Power of One strategy is simply placing PepsiCo products next to Frito-Lay products.

Each of these subsets of brands are developments of unique products tailored to each geographical culture it is marketed to.
