Pamela Parish exemplifies what it means to be a hardworking and diligent college student. Pam’s commitment to the university and the community has been shown time and time again. When it comes to commitment and dedication, Pam stands out more than anyone. Her dedication and positive influence on campus makes her an inspiring leader. She is involved with many organizations and leadership roles on campus.
Pam is currently a Peer Mentor. Her role is to support and assist with students’ daily work as well as hold office hours for students so that they can receive help and guidance. She assisted in the planning and hosting of downtown Green Bay’s Gallery Nite and Holiday Parade. Gallery Nite is a downtown shopping and art show extravaganza. This night was filled with musicians, artists, free trolley rides, and truck shows. Pam also helped with the 32nd Annual Green Bay Holiday Parade. In addition to that, Pam is one of the student Vice Presidents of Phi Kappa Phi on campus. Phi Kappa Phi recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all areas of higher education and engage with the community of scholars in service to others. Earlier this past month, Phi Kappa Phi held its initiation and Pam had the opportunity speak at the ceremony.
Pam also spends her time volunteering for organizations fighting against cancer. She volunteered for the Love Your Melon campaign held on campus. She created and handed out hand-turkeys with motivational phrases on them. Love Your Melon is an apparel brand ran by college students across the country. The goal is to give a hat to every child battling cancer in America. She also participated in the Bowling for Boobs event put on by UWGB Colleges Against Cancer. This is meant to bring people together to celebrate the fight against breast cancer and to remember those who have lost the battle against
