Everyone has heard the quote, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” To most people it’s just a quote but to me it really means a lot. My grandfather has quoted it ever since I could remember. He has shown me the importance of finding a job that I want to do, instead of finding a job that I have to do. Many people have wonderful memories with their grandparents and some people not so much. I’ve been very lucky to have such great grandparents myself. They have always been there for me and have always made academics a huge priority. I have been very blessed to have grandparents that push me to be the best I can. My grandfather Larry (most commonly known as Papaw Larry) is my biggest role-model. He has always
My Grandpa Farber became always a role model for me as I started to grow up. A memory that comes to my mind would be the time that he helped me to color in the lines. I would scribble outside of the lines when I colored in a coloring book. Believing that I could stay in the lines became dense for me so I continued to scribble outside of them. Once my grandpa realized that I colored outside of the lines, he thought that he could fix the issue by showing me how to properly color. Considering that I was only three years old, my grandpa never gave up on me and knew that he could encourage me to color right. Eventually I caught on and started to keep my colors inside the lines and soon my pictures went from scribbles to masterpieces.
Just like Gloria in “Homeland” I’ve had the fortune of spending time with my grandparents and great grandparents. Also,
My grandparents have a lot of characters that I love about them. They are kind, loving, caring, giving, friendly, and generous. Ammachi and Appacha are so kind and loving because they ask how I’m doing and give me hugs when I leave. Ammachi also comforts me when I’m sad and makes delicious food for me when I’m hungry, while Appacha helps me with word search puzzles. My grandparents make sure that I am comfortable, welcome me into the house, and ask how I’ve been
My grandma had survived a hard life, and yet managed to raise four responsible, well-educated, and successful children. All this she did while working as a respected psychiatric nurse and a state mental health board member. Although she had had and was still overcoming trials in life, I always knew she would be there and cared about me and my life. As my brother and I grew older and were unable to visit my grandparents as often as we
Who is your role model? My grandfather is the perfect role model, he is caring and respectful and respected by everyone. My grandfather has been a racer all of his life. Ever since he was young
I am thankful for my grandparents. They turned me into the person I am today. And that will stay with me forever. I´m really lucky theyŕe mine because they always call and see what's going on and always send me candy and stuff for all the holidays. They always give the best hugs and knows exactly what to say to make things better. My grandma can always grow plants with me. My grandpa can always go fishing. They are really awesome.
While growing up, I was very lucky to have two full sets of grandparents, and I considered myself even luckier to have lived just three
My grandpa Luis, who I am proudly named after, gets up around 5 am and goes for a walk, works all day, until 7 pm and is eighty-two years old. He may be a stubborn man, but the strongest man I know, mentally and physically. My grandmother Guadalupe, who wasn’t born in the United States, but as soon as she married my grandfather, she became a U.S citizen. She gave birth to 7 children and raised them very well even though they were poor. My grandfather has a saying, “Be What You Want to Be, But Be It”. He is a very wise man and his motto speaks to my entire family. My grandparents started our family and they’re the reason why I am here today. They shaped the mother that I have, which gave me the opportunity to have the life I have
“In the Name of Love by Miya Tokumitsu uses “Do what you love” in choosing our life way, and DWYL is the motto of our generation, so we should do what we love being passion and profitable. Sometimes DWYL is not the best option, but people still do what they love, and they enjoy their job. Tokumitsu explains “work is work” we should respect that, and it doesn’t matter what kinds. However, everyone loves different things, if everyone tried to do what they loved who would do the other important jobs. Tokumitsu emphasizes don’t put down people that enjoy what they do because all jobs have valve.
I may not be a perfect role model to others but I know in this person’s eyes I’ve come a long way. He’s taught me a handful of things such as teaching me how to tie my shoes, change oil in my car, apply for college, and the list could go on and on. This remarkable human being is who I look up to and seems to always inspire me to being myself is Arthur Craft. He is my father and a person I would not trade for the world! My father has always inspired me to look at the bigger picture and has never doubted me in things I thought I wouldn’t be able to do. He has always told me he sees a lot of potential in me and that’s what keeps me going. Because of his words of encouragement, I use it as fuel to push myself each day and continue to impress him.
“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life” (Confucius). What the quote is saying is that if you Choose a career that will pay you well, but also allows you to spend your days doing what you want you to do. If you find a career that you are passionate about, you feel like you never work a day in your life, but if you get one you do not like, you're always hating going to work. A career that you love will feel like you never go to work because you're doing what you love and passionate about. A career that I am passionate about and would love doing is being a farm manager. A farm manager is someone that the owner hires to basically help manage the bills, you're the top worker, and you're the boss of the hired people.
When I think of a positive male role model, the first person that comes to mind is Uncle Butch. My uncle is extremely wise and knows all sorts of facts most people don’t. He has always worked so hard in his life. Being my mother’s brother, he started from a very poor family. My uncle worked his way up to where he is today, a very wealthy man. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Butch always puts a smile on your face when you see him and constantly is laughing or cracking a joke. He is not afraid of what anyone thinks. This is a huge reason why I admire him and inspire to be like him one day.
If you do what you love you’ll never have to work a day in your
Grandparents are the best of friend and gentle person you will ever meet. They love and care about their granddaughters very much. Children enjoy spending time with their grandparents because they are full of stories and always seem to have candy or cookie with them. Children are always excited about their grandparents ' visitation especially on holidays and birthdays. They hoped that one day they will see their granddaughters grow up and change the world. In the long run, their life turned upside down, and they never get to see that day comes to pass. One day they are here and then they are gone, leaving you behind wondering what you could have done to keep them longer.
Of course you always hear people talking about how great their grandmother or grandfather are, I too feel the same way about my grandmother. I see her as more than my grandmother, she’s a role mole, my best friend and also like a sister when I need her. She’s always been a loving and caring person. Not for only her friends and family, but also strangers. People she has never met a day in her life she would be willing to go give her last too. You don’t find to many people like her too often.
