To attend Paul Mitchell’s cosmetology school and be a certified makeup artist is Jennifer’s dream. Though that’s only the beginning, she plans on starting off as a MUA at Ulta or even as a manager, whichever opportunity is open to her first. She also dreams in having her own beauty salon and aims on making it to college for business and management. She would love to get paid to do what she’s passionate about, which is doing makeup and makeovers on others. Ever since she was young, she was easily inspired and artistic, this is a significant trait to have to be a MUA, it makes it much easier to work with what kind of looks the clients are looking to stretch for. Another thing that takes people a long way in any profession is being amiable and

More importantly by obtaining a Masters in Art Therapy I hope to better serve my community and the needs of future clients by broadening my understandings of psychology. I am loyal to a fault, flexible, optimistic, openminded, meet deadlines with grace, passionate, empathetic, eager to learn, a hard worker, and a positive person. These qualities simply graze the surface of who I am, nevertheless I am confident that these characteristics will benefit my aspirations to become an Art

I have chosen cosmetology as my research career. This career particularly interest me because it is something I would like to do with my life. I feel this career is filled with opportunities that can be very beneficial to me financially and emotionally. One specific goal I have in my life is to one day open my own salon.
Cosmetology is the general work on others hair and skin. The area of cosmetology I am going for is hair. I find working on other people’s hair fun and interesting. Makeup and nails are other areas of interest for me. I am going to be studying cosmetology to become licensed as an entrepreneur for hair, makeup, and helping to make the lives of others better. It is important to understand the education or training requirements, skills or training, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when making this decision.
Every since I was a child I have had a passion for doing other people’s hair. When I was little I would use my baby dolls as clients and work on their hair until it was perfect and neat. I have chosen to be in the cosmetology field because I like to help other people with their needs and wants as well as mine. I am aware that while working in this industry I will work with many different ethnic groups and many different hair types. I feel I can do anything as long as I have the determination to do so. Many people go to cosmetology school to work for someone else, but I would like to open up a mini-salon out of my own home someday.
Whenever people ask me what I want to do in life, I always brace myself for the confused stares I know I will be receiving as soon as I reveal my goal to them. I want to own my own nail polish company. This aspiration as often seen as not only an obscure one, but also one of muted ambition. People are generally confused sheerly by how niche it is. Nevertheless, I feel that I have been preparing for this throughout my whole high school career in regards to my extracurricular. Having six art credits under my belt is often regarded as excessive by my peers in a school like my own, but I firmly believe it is the most conducive route I could have chosen for my future in regards to my secondary education.
I want nothing more than to graduate Paul Mitchell at the top of my class and pay my dues as expected in a local salon, and eventually move up to editorial work. Another friend and idol of mine, Natalie Burke, has attended Paul Mitchell and worked for Kelly Cardenas and now travels all over the world as a freelance stylist. I highly respect her and her career, and often watch the steps shes taken to get where she is. I want to make more of my career than
There are many people pursuing a career in the cosmetology field, but there are things that they must be prepared for. One of the main requirements that most beauty schools ask for is a GED, or something equivalent. It always important when enrolling to a beauty school to inform yourself about any other significant demands (“Cosmetologist”). Some of the

Growing up I always use to like doing my hair, as well as my mothers and sisters hair. I began to do my own hair for school at the age of nine. About six months before I graduated high school, I participated in a fundraiser to support breast cancer /scholarship contest at Aveda Institute, which is a cosmetology school. I saw many creative and talented students at the event, it was amazing! I assumed it was a sign, so as soon as I graduated high school I registered at Aveda. I truly believed that cosmetology was what I wanted to make a career out of, because I enjoy making people feel more confident about their physical appearance. However, attending the institute emphatically demonstrated a sneak preview of what life had in store for me.

The career I would like to learn in my future is being in the fashion model industry. Choosing this career took place when I walked in the “Victoria Secret” underwear store I would spot the wide screens and the fashion models wearing all the clothes and underwear on. In my point of view, this would be a great future for myself since I’m confident and I have those great personalities I am great with people and I can put myself into character in the show and I believe I have an attractive shaped for the clothes. I ask myself if I were able to make it, I would literally be great full and will retain me from bad people and food for my health. In my perspective, this would be a surprising career for me and my family. They pay very well and I would like to make my dreams come true and be proud receiving my own money.
My long term goal is to be able to work for an interior furnishing or décor company like Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware or Room and Board. I would like to do the set visuals for the catalog shoot. To achieve this I plan to work hard to make myself marketable and stand out in the industry. My next step to achieve my goal is to network with people within these companies, while still keeping my options open for other job prospects. After I graduate I hope to work within one of these companies as an assistant visual merchandiser and work my way up the ladder. By starting at the bottom you learn every job, the required tasks and the company’s structure. With this goal I intend to finish my degree, continue learning the craft and skills, networking and eventually working for one of these companies.
