Performance Objectives:
1) Course Development –
a. Use knowledge gained from self-development courses and experience to conduct a 90% review of all course material instructed by you each quarter and provide input on course successes and shortcomings from your perspective to the Army Liaison Office every quarter at least one week prior to the Battalion 's Quarterly Training Board and or Cryptologic Training Advisory Group session.
b. Upon discovery of a shortfall in curriculum, notify the course manager, Army Liaison Office, and provide a possible course of action to remedy the situation.
a. I created 42 new power-point presentations, for the new curriculum, to be used by staff members and students alike to enhance the instructor’s lectures and the student training experience. Along with the power-point presentations I generated 21 unit review study aids, totaling 10 PowerPoint, pick-your-poison games, five crosswords and one number puzzler, 11 unit reviews totaling approximately 73 questions each for a total of 801 questions. These study aids, assisted in increasing the student’s comprehension of the subject matter and improving their overall GPAs.
b. To date I have identified 10 minor errors in the new curriculum which have been brought up to the course manger and most have been corrected on the spot. I have also identified 4 inadequacies with the new computers and software equipment that the course manger is addressing with ADIS support.
2) Self Development –
a.
Frequent deployments and changing times created a distraction in the Professional aspect of the Army. The distraction created a deficiency in maintaining the highest standards of the Profession of Arms. In an effort to refine their understanding of the Army Profession, the Secretary of the Army and the Army Chief of Staff directed that a review of the Army Profession be conducted, thus the creation of the Profession of Arms Campaign.
C. To plan the assessment of occupational competence to address learner needs and current achievements.

Many people are concerned about the U.S. military because of how many risks come with joining it. However, the U.S. military also explains the benefits that one could receive. Joining the military is a decision that should not be taken lightly. One must understand all aspects of the military. In order for a voter to be fully informed about joining the US military, one must consider both the risks, like mental illnesses and commitment and benefits, like education, and experience.

With the conclusion of the instructional unit I would have went back and looked at what content needed to be reviewed or re-taught to the students. When looking at the data on the pre-assessment students struggles with questions 8, 9, 10 and 15. On the post-assessment students improved on question 8, 9 and 10 but the number of correct responses stayed the same on question 16 which determined students did not gain additional information needed to answer questions 16. The unit could be expanded to discuss more information on how the Continental Army won the war with the help of allies since these types of questions were missed the most or showed the least amount of improvement. Although students already have an
c. This shift in the increase in responsibility is a huge contrast to high school teacher being responsible for keeping student responsible for their own assignment.
“Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done, because he wants to do it”. -34th President of the United States Dwight D. Eisenhower.
History of MHS – According to Kongstvedt (2007), the history of military health care dates back to the establishment of the Army Medical Department on July 27, 1775 and congress established the position of the nation’s first Director General and Chief Physician which later evolved to the office of the Surgeon General of the United States. One of the first unique features of the military health system is the act that was approved by the congress ordering the deduction of 20 cents a month from the salary of Sailors and Marines for their care in civilian treatment facilities. I personally consider this as the first “insurance payment system” long before the birth of HMOs. As the military expands, they eventually assigned one Surgeon General for each branch of the military except Coast Guard (Coast Guard was under the Department of Transportation and eventually became under Department of Homeland Security after 9/11). When sequestration took in effect, all branches were consolidated under one health care system: Military Health System.

I will seek weekly assistance from my field supervisor in identifying appropriate assessments tools for clients in my field placement.
What is a profession? First and foremost let’s look at how we can define a profession from a general point. A profession is an occupation requiring specialized knowledge and often long and intensive academic preparation. Profession doesn’t mean only to be perfectly prepared on the basis of theoretical aspects, but to meet the strict criteria as well. A good professional should be a leader and leadership means solving problems. Leaders can be assessed according to the amount of resolved problems. Everybody has a tendency to be successful, in trying this; a successful leader has to be confident in his decisions. It follows from that, that generally we can consider the leader as an expert, a matured personality, somebody who meets the high
Be all you can be. An Army of one. These two phrases are recognized by almost everyone. The United States Army is one of three military departments (Army, Navy and Air Force) that make up the Department of Defense. The organization holds a strong set of core values. Each soldier is also required to instill that same set of values and beliefs. The Seven Core Army Values define what being a soldier is about. These values include Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. Soldiers are expected to not only know the meaning of these words, but to live up to them every day.
