I had put an application in at Publix, I went back a couple days later sat in my car for a little bit and decided I was going in there and ask to speak to the store manager. I went in asked for the store manager and he promptly came out. I immediately stuck my hand out and gave him a firm handshake and introduced myself and started spilling out my experience while working at Winn Dixie for the past 6 years in NC. He asked me my name and then told me he would pull my application. Before I could reach my house, he called me to set up an interview for the next day. I went to the interview and felt very comfortable with all the question he had asked me because Ihad been doing the same type of work for Winn Dixie, and every question he asked me …show more content…
So, after the interview I was once again called by the Grocery Manager before reaching my house and he told me I had the job to be there the next day for training. Before landing the job I now have I was interviewed by an ENT facility. I interviewed with the office manager, the interview went very well and I was confident she really thought highly of me and knew that I was very knowledgeable about the type of work. She had called me for a second interview by the physician at the practice but, he was too busy that day so she went through all the job descriptions for the position, and I am almost positive she could read my body language because she was not interested that I was in school for my bachelor’s degree and she made no beans about what she expected even if it interferes with my schooling. Before I left the office, she had told me I had the job. When I reached home I called her and told her thanks for thinking of me for the position, but it would interfere with my continuing education. I could tell by the tone in her voice she was
At the beginning of this school year, I began to realize something. I realized that my high school years were coming to an end. This was an eye opener for me. I didn't know what to expect of my last year nor what I wanted to do after high school. I then began looking for a job. So I applied to Chick-fil-a. I waited patiently several weeks for a call, but received no call whatsoever. I patiently waited for a new opportunity to come along. Until finally, I was given an opportunity at an electrical shop. On the first day of work I was introduced to the staff and learned the procedures of what needed to be done. My job now was to maintain the shop clean and to keep all materials organized as well as other tasks that helped me grow with my skills.
I looked for jobs all around Fresno and Clovis, I applied with PG&E, Pepsi, DMV and I even contemplated joining the Navy, this went on for six months if not longer. One day I was looking at a sports website called realgm.com (it 's a news feed site for all baseball, football, basketball, soccer and hockey) and I saw an ad on the side of the page advertising jobs with Kraft Foods. I clicked on the link and it took me to an unavailable job but there were other jobs available in Fresno so I decided to apply. After submitting my resume, I received an email asking me to call and schedule my interview with the Human Resource department the next day.
I came into your store today at around 5:30 pm. I had purchased a t.v from the electronics department, for $800.00. When I got home I noticed as soon as I took it out of the box, the base of the t.v was scratched. It wasn’t scratched badly enough for me to want to take it back, until I plugged it in and the screen was broken. I immediately called Walmart and the manager of the electronics department, and he told me it was nothing he was able to do. I couldn’t get my money back or even a new t.v to replace it. I wanted to contact you personally to see if there was anything we can set up seeing how I bought a $800.00 t.v from your store that was broke. Thanks for your time.
I am a tiger, lion, and panther fanatic, but unable to actually own one. Therefore, I adore dogs for the protecting and guarding. When marketing introduced the official ambassador for Target, Bullseye, I enjoyed seeing him pop up in cool places. A special characteristic regarding Target stores is the mascot showing up on the red carpets for interviews, albeit all in the form of dog language, photo opportunities with the stars, and walk on the runway among models. Another main reason I shop at Target is the cleaner and organized layout of the store. The employees are better dressed and shows experience handling people. Usually you will find a Starbucks inside which is on the pricy side. Target gives back to the community. Children are
I met the love of my life at the Disney Store. As disgusting as it is, I have been drinking out of one cup for the past decade. This cute, pink cup crafted from engineering genius is able to hold exactly one cup of water without spilling over making for quite a useful substitute measuring cup. It features Marie, the little sister kitten from my, at the time, favorite movie “The Aristocats” encased in a sparkly, semi snow globe type contraption. Unless offered a disposable cup, I simply refuse to drink out of any other glass.
As I walked up to the Wenshan Hospital early Thursday morning, the excitement was air the as the screening day was about to begin. Hundreds of people huddled around a small podium while the opening ceremonies proceeded. Local politicians and sponsors gave their speeches announcing the mission and thanking Operation Smilie.
The checkout was a disaster as far as I was concerned. I got in line and there were two other customers in front of me. The first customer was just finishing his checkout process and leaving. The second customer had placed several of her items, from her large order, on the edge of the checkout counter. Alissa started to scan the customer’s merchandise, but did not offer a greeting or a smile. She did ask for the customer’s Ingles card but that was all the Alissa ever said to the customer. I could not read the bagger’s name tag but he was a Caucasian male about 20 years old. He was about 5’ 10” tall, brown hair, no glasses, dark Ingles shirt and khaki pants. The bagger never greeted the customer. He bagged the items with little regard as too
By going to the farmer’s market, you’re guaranteed to get the freshest in-season produce available, and the produce is---wait for it---locally sourced! Additionally, it’s a great way to connect with merchants and the farmers themselves and learn more about what you’re bringing home.
It was just another normal day at the office. I woke up, went and got my usual breakfast at Dunkin Donuts, and went to work. I don't know what it was but something just seemed different today. I was finishing my chocolate donut, and I heard something weird coming from the top floor. All I hear is a BOOM and I was so confused what it was. I hear people screaming and crying so I head toward the stairs. There was black smoke tripping down the stairs and at that point I thought I should start heading down. Trying to walk through it was impossible. It started getting harder to breath, I had tunnel vision, and I was really weak. I knew death was coming soon.
It was October 3rd and a brisk autumn breeze gently blew all of the beautifully colored, fallen leaves making them dance throughout the air. I just arrived back at my gray house, that stretched 3 stories high and stood in the middle of the woods, right on the outskirts of Knox, PA. My trip to Walmart was long and very aggravating, but after two hours of walking around feeling like a lost child, I finally found everything on my list for the get-together that I was hosting at my house. I was really looking forward to the get-together because just a couple weeks ago, I returned home from a two week long cruise in the Caribbeans and I was excited to get to catch up with my friends again. Once I got inside my house, my butler, Mr. Francis, immediately saw the grocery bags I was carrying and darted downstairs to my car to start helping me bring the bags upstairs and to get everything set
My mom and I were walking through Walmart and we had directed ourselves towards the produce section. As my mom counted one by one the tomatoes that she was placing in the plastic bag, I wondered off. All that I could think of as I walked was how money was tight, but somehow we still need to buy groceries. As I entered the frozen aisle I noticed a woman in front of me with her cart. As she was exiting the aisle she got a call and while looking for her phone in her purse, she accidentally dropped some folded dollar bills. I continued walking towards the end that had the money and as I got closer my eyes would dart around looking for any witnesses. Before I knew it my toes were an inch away from the money. Getting a closer look to the money I
The person I interview was my very passionate and intuitive friend. A very loyal yet pessimistic person I asked him why he is the way he is. What did he experience in childhood that made his perspective on life change? “I grew up in Eagle Rock. There was, and I'm pretty sure there is still is a lot of shootings, gang members, and a lot of Mexican culture. Growing up I was taught to work. I've been working since I was 9 and around the age of 16 I was using my social security. Being the child of immigrant parents I wasn't privileged.I was taught to work for the things in life." Like myself, many first-generation children grow up under confusion and stress. Our parents left their life behind to start a better and new life full of opportunities
About three years ago, I applied to become a seasonal sales associate for Under Armour in Grapevine, Texas. Unfortunately, Under Armour did not hire me for the position. This past summer, with more work experience, I applied for the same position at Under Armour in Allen, Texas. After an interview, I was offered the position and accepted it immediately. Growing up, I have always been a
Ricky and I met at AIB College of Business in Des Moines, IA. We were classmates, who majored in Business Administration. We both pretty much had the same teachers and took the same classes. This is how I came to know the applicant. I noticed right off the bat from working with him on class projects and research papers that he was a determined individual, with a passion to learn and meet new people. He attended class on a regular basis, asked questions when needed to clarify his understanding of the concepts being taught, and was an active student on campus. He was a member of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), in which I was also a member of this organization. As a member of this organization, we learned how to compose a cover letter
This was my first meeting with my client, Michelle. Michelle has agreed to seek out a life coach to help her with her struggles of feeling incompetent. She seeks more out of her life and is trying to find where she fits into the realm of God’s plan for her. I explained to Michelle what a life coach does in assisting her in making changes in her life. We went over the policies and procedures of us working together and I explained each of our roles in the coaching relationship.
