I conducted my informational interview on September 20, 2017 with an Ohio University graduate, Christopher Nason. Mr. Nason graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He currently is a member of a reverse engineering team at the Defense Logistics Agency which is part of the Federal Government Department of Defense. The company provides replacement parts and equipment for the United States’ Armed Forces. Chris’s job involves analyzing designs or schematics of older parts still used by the military. Since this piece may no longer be manufactured commercially, Chris’s team analyzes the data in order to identify the items so that they can be reproduced internally. His position involve a lot of research and project management.
In the area of strengths the one of the most important strengths provided during the interview was their current training program for federal regulatory compliance, this put the organization at an advantage even with more developed organizations
Four, maybe five German soldiers surrounded me. They were moving in faster than a pack of starving wolves, and I was their downed prey. There were flying bullets, dark smoke, and explosions everywhere. I was oppressed and knew that this was finally it. All my hard work was about to disappear into a plume of smoke. I commenced raising my rifle, and then in the midst of this chaotic scene there was this ever so subtle giggle over the headset. I look upwards dumbfounded to see a firestorm of bombs hailing all around me, and enveloping my entire section of the battlefield obliterating everything. It was my brother Chase piloting this monstrous desert-sand colored beast of a bomber, which just unleashed utter devastation on the opposing
December 17th, that is my birthday. Having switched school counties in middle school my birthdays always had to find the best of both worlds between two different groups of friends. Well, I had recently discovered the magic of social storytelling in games like Dungeons & Dragons. At this point three of my friends and I would meet up every two weeks for a late night session of fantasy tabletop role-playing. These nights were the high points of our social lives; it only made sense that I wanted ALL of my friends to experience this awesome game. So, I invited everyone asking them to come over around 6:00 p.m. and expect to be there until around midnight. I loaded up on snacks, came up with an adventure for us all to go through, and actually cleaned a little. Everything was set up for everyone to have fun, eat snacks, stay up late, and hopefully find a new hobby. Unfortunately that is not at all what happened.

The week one Gamescape Simulation was very helpful to me. I wont lie, I was feeling somewhat overwhelmed as to how to approach each ressource provided by the University. I am very glad that we will have these simuations every week. Each resource was explained to me very clearly, but to me the most valuable one would definitely be the University's library. The library will provide me with peer reviewed articles. These articles are written by scholars, and by other respected proffessors. In turn, it will facilitate my academic growth in the University of Phoenix.

I researched a video game designer because I wanted to know about their role in creating a video game, what they do daily, and their income. A video game designer needs good communicating skills in order to improve the content of the game. Also, it is not as easy job as it seems a lot of stress and hard work is involved. Finally, the interest of video games is rising as video games appeal to a wider audience.
Most teenagers look forward to summer for long lazy days and nights curled up next to a crackling bonfire, I however look to it as the beginning of stampeding around the woods in elf ears with foam weapons in hand. Live Action Role Playing (LARP) is a collection of people from all different walks of life who come together as adventurers to exchange everyday struggles for fantastical ones. When I tell my friends how I sometimes sport elf ears instead of a cheer bow, they look at me as though I had turned into a werewolf right before their eyes, or even worse, a necromancer. For this reason and how annoying it is to explain all of the mechanics of a very complicated game, my passion for the mythical world is kept hidden.
Interviewing a potential employee is a significant step in the hiring process. Every interview must to tailored to the business’s specific needs and style. For Game Knights, the table top gaming store, questions need to fit a specific gaming genre to ensure the right game advisor is hired for the job. Game Knights needs game advisors that are knowledgeable in specific gaming fields like the following: miniatures, role playing games, collectable card games, and board games. Game Knights also needs employees that are game officials capable of judging and hosing events. These requirements are important but social skills like teamwork, attitude, friendliness, and synergy most also be taken into consideration. Game Knight will have typical employee interview questions like prior experience and current skills. However, a game store needs to have a set of questions specific to that business’s needs. The following five questions are interview questions specifically suited for Game Knights the table top game store.
For my Sport Manager Interview I interviewed Mr. Matt Seibring who is an Assistant Director in Competitive Sports. I asked Mr. Matt questions that related to his job and basically to help prepare and give me advice for my career plans in the future.
I did my mock interview on Thursday at 10:30 with Hallie Rathbun a career staff member at the career services center. I was very nervous because I have never done it before. I practiced answering the questions that I found on the website with my roommates and Karen Student United Association club adviser to help prepare me for the interview. I tried to relax as much as I could before the interview.
When I think of the word interview I think of it as a series of questions asked from one person to another to seek information. In my previous assessment we were asked to interview a fellow peer, on their personal experience of QIBT so far this year. We were not given any question, but made to think of our own. As we were interviewing our peer another peer was marking us on our overall ability to interview. This piece of reflective writing will be an explanation of what I thought my personal strengths and weaknesses were throughout my interview.
