After taking the “Leading the Life You Want Assessment” I received the score of a 70 out of 90, which I felt answered accurately to my current state of mind and future. My score while only a few point above the average was not that surprising, since I have held a leadership role a few times before. Nevertheless, I wasn’t expecting my score to be all that high either, due to my ability to psych myself out in regards to anything that involves talking in public or handing out roles to individuals. It seemed my score closely resembles that of Bruce Springsteen, which I found quite interesting as he is a well-known artist who has no trouble singing and preforming in public, unlike myself. My strongest area of leadership skillsets was in Be Real,
When did you figure out what you wanted to be when you got older? Are you still asking yourself that question? Not only is it hard for people to figure out what they want in life, but to ask what you want to be? That is one of the hardest questions you have been asked. I figured out what my passion was at the age of thirteen. Biomedical engineer isn’t in many thirteen year olds’ vocabularies, so how did it end up in mine?
The support of the family is the most positive aspect of family life. The rise of single parent homes has produced a negative change in family life stating that single mothers are too often bearing the burden of raising

The “new” leadership driver self-assessment tool was mostly accurate in evaluating my leadership style. I found that the overall scores in the four categories reflected my strengths. The tool also pinpointed specific points regarding my leadership abilities.
The identity of a person can be influenced by many factors depending on the environment in which they live (Kuada & Chachah, 1999). I am a 23-year-old Ghana national. I came to this country in 2002 when I was ten years old, and I am a Christian by religion. Many factors have influenced my current identity and described my values and beliefs. Such factors include gender, sexual orientation, age, family, race and ethnic identification, religious identity, and socio-economic status among many others. These factors have determined the person I am today, and it makes them significant in my life
I believe in the mission of transforming lives. I am looking to use my skills and experience with working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities of all ages, to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals. Furthermore, I believe the perspective I have as a marginalized individual is valuable and important to providing services to those who need them the most. I am certain that Vinfen, with your commitment to a supportive work environment which develops and fosters knowledgeable and supportive staff who are dedicated to the individuals they serve, will prove me the opportunity to do this.
I agree to the final result of the three assessments. I know that there are no right or wrong answers but I would like to increase my self- awareness. The results will help me to improve my behavior and develop leadership skills. My strongest dimensions are agreeableness, adjustment, and conscientiousness. On the other hand, I have weaker scores on other dimensions such as surgency and openness to experience. For agreeableness traits, I have strong sociability. I like to spend more time with friends than things. Also, I have the ability to work well with other. For adjustment traits, I have good self-control and self-confidence. Lastly, I’m dependable. I’m willing to work hard to accomplish goals. I have high need for achievement and affiliation.
Ever since I was about 5 years old my parents would always drag me out to the orange groves in order to produce money to help support the family. Every time I began to complain they would advise me that if I wish to avoid this kind of life that I better put forward all I have in school to advance to college and live a better life. My primary goal is to indulge the college experience to learn and mold me into a man prepared to succeed at all he does. My parents inserted the right values into me and chiseled hard work into my DNA. Now it’s time to earn my bachelor’s degree in sports management and hopefully double major with a degree in sports marketing as well. My goal is to become a person ready to inspire and aid a myriad of people on my trail
Being a young adult requires a lot of independence, however individuals that fit into this category still have many needs. Some of those needs are friends, family and employment. Friends are an important part of being a young adult because they help deal with every day stress and difficulties (Buote,2007, p. 666) and having a social life is important for creating a healthy balance between work and other everyday tasks so one does not become overwhelmed (Buote,2007, 665). I personally view my friends as one of the best forms of emotional support because I know that whenever I am upset or have something on my mind, I can talk to them and I almost always feel more content afterwards which allows me to move past my troubles. It is important
The purpose of self-assessment tests is to help us to gain a better understanding of ourselves and the idiosyncrasies
My results from the “Path-Goal Leadership Questionnaire” shows high scores in supportive, participative, and achievement styles, but moderate score in the directive. The scores do not surprise me. I am aware that I have a little improvement to do in directing my team.
As a Life Coach, I find that the cause of unhappiness and many of the challenges that people experience is influenced largely by where their focus lies.
After taking the assortment of Jobzology assessments I was able to get results that painted a clear picture of my values and interests in different situations and in life. Specifically, for values, my highest result was recognition, closely followed by achievement. In their descriptions, recognition is explained as a person that appreciates having the opportunity to advance in a job, likes having other people look up to them, and need to have the potential to lead others. With this came career examples of a Journalist, Business Executive, Software Engineer, and Lawyer. Personally, I would undoubtedly agree that I am the person the recognition definition defines me to be. Whether it be in sports and helping to lead the team by deciding what workouts to do or in a classroom leading a group project, I love the responsibility and having people look up to me for advice. One reason why I have openly taken on responsibility, specifically on the track team, is because it frustrates me how if there is no true leadership, everyone is so indicive. With this, I have learned that by making strong and confident decisions, people will look up to me and then I will have the potential to lead others. On top of that, as far as career examples go, having the suggestion of a Business Executive affirmed a desire I already had to get to the point of assisting in leadership of a company by being focused on advancing my job, which will giving me more potential to lead others. However, I do not see
“To succeed in life, you need three things: a backbone, a wishbone, and a funny bone” (McEntire). Quotes like these help you step back and evaluate yourself and your life to see if yours fits. I know that I did that myself when I thought about it. You also have to break them down to see what they really mean. When you break them down, you can really see what each piece means so hopefully you can understand.
Everyone has the vision of the good life but how many have sat down to plan it out? How I envision the good life, for myself, is by bettering relationships with my family and friends, creating a relationship with God I've lost years ago, have a career that helps me support my future family and myself, and lastly, have a relationship that will survive no matter what life gives us or God. I plan on trying to start my journey to the good life during my next four years at OBU.
