A personal strength of mines would be my active listening, I have always been an observant person and I’m glad that this has been a useful tool for me during my internship. I did my best to schedule appointments with the families so that I got to know them so that I could assist them even more. During my visits with families I do my best to make them feel comfortable talking with me. It is also important to read into what and how families are expressing themselves, whether it be with a quicker tone, lowering their voice after a certain question it is important to be able to recognize these signs and interpret them. When the feeling in the room starts to change, one has to change the mood in a manner of seconds to get to the bottom of what
A third strength I have is an inner drive to be able to stick to a task and get it done. Whether it is at work or at school, if I am assigned a task I make it a point to work at it until the task is done. If a deadline is presented in front of me I have something inside of me that forces me to keep working on it until it is completed and not just completed but done first the right way. Which leads to another strength that I have is a strong work ethic. In my profession in recruiting what I do reflects me and the company that I work for. When I go to recruiting events or career fairs I represent the company that I am there for. Everything about me such as my demeanor, my dress, my attitude, etc. reflects the professionalism of the company as well as any reports or products that are produced and put out by me. I take pride in my work and
In addition to my personal challenges my personal strengths interfer. A personal strength I have is talking , I love sharing my opinion. Another personal strength I have is giving good advice because I love helping people solve their problem or help make their lives easier. Lastly another personal strength I have is just listening because I am a good person to vent to because I don’t judge. Therefore I always spread positivity and lean a hand.
My second key strength is showing gratitude to others. If someone does something for me or helps me develop a new skill. I show gratitude to them by thanking them, and I tell them that really appreciate their help. I am there for that person when they need my help.
Strengths and weaknesses are important to consider as a helper. A strength of mine is that I feel that I am a good listener. I take in and fully invest myself into what another individual is saying during conversations. I can empathize with others by understanding their feelings, whether or not I myself have ever been in
These strengths include organization, participation, and creation of checklists. I feel I stay very organized in this class, as I have all of my documents organized inside my binder ready for a notebook check. In regards to participation, I try my best to raise my hand nearly every class. I stay active and focused so that I can obtain all of the information. I also ask questions frequently which helps me to avoid mistakes or any confusion. My final strength, the fact that I create checklists, has benefitted me immensely. Checklists help to make sure all requirements are met for any project or essay, which is how I received a 91 on my Pilgrim Presentation and an 85 on my Canterbury Tales Short Essay. Checklists have helped me to score higher on assignments with multiple requirements, but not all assignments were as simple as creating a
My top strength identified was the Achiever theme. Achiever describes the need for constant achievement. Achievers have the capacity and the drive to keep taking on new challenges and strive toward new goals (Rath, 2007). This description is accurate in that I enjoy a new challenge and like to keep busy working towards anything with some sort of successful outcome. I welcome the opportunity to do something better, more perfectly, or more complete which motivates me to a higher level (Rath, 2007).
My second and third ranking strength were Empathy and Harmony. Out of all the strengths these are the two I feel really go hand-in-hand. “Empathy-You can see the sense of emotions of those around you. You can feel what they are feeling as though their feelings were your own. Intuitively, you are able to see the world through their eyes and share their perspective. You do not necessarily agree with each person’s perspective. You do not necessarily feel pity for each person’s predicament-this would be sympathy not empathy. You do not necessarily condone the choices each person makes, but you do understand. The instinctive ability to understand is powerful.” “Harmony-You look for areas of agreement. In your view there is little to be gained from conflict and friction, so you seek to hold them to a minimum. When you know people around you hold differing views, you try to find a common ground.” (PH.Ds, Clifton, O., Anderson, E., Schreiner, L., Pg 26) When I was still digesting my strengths out of all the top five listed these two I am most grateful for, and in my opinion will be the most useful not only in life, but also in the
Another personal strength would be my experience. I was lucky enough to be the trumpet player for the Synergy Jazz Foundation. This foundation did all the things that I would like my foundation to do. Me and other students from across the metro had the opportunity to perform at local venues such as the social club, opening for big names brought in from around the
Strength 1: I am very organized and I am able to stay on top of multiple tasks at once. I am currently a TA and a full-time student, and a volunteer at the crisis line and at Camp Kesem. Because of my responsibilities, I need to stay actively organized
• Positivity: Positivity is for someone who is upbeat and positive, which tends to rub off on others.
Branching from this is what I also believe to be my second strength: having genuine hope. I’ve been fortunate to work at being an optimistic individual, often times relating myself to the “hope” bird that is mentioned in Emily Dickinson’s poem “Hope is the thing with feathers.” Because of this, I’ve had the fortune to experience the positive emotions as well, something which I believe is important when working with clients as I think it’s a common occurrence where hope and happiness are often thought of as a distant memory when times are

One of my greatest strengths at work that I have recognized would have to be my ability to be a well-organized individual. I tend to write what I have to do down on paper and prioritize what is more important to least important. In doing this, it helps me organize and accomplish my work and meet deadlines that are important. A personal strength
The biggest strength I have is to be creative with the situation that I am given. This in not only a skill that suggest that one can synthesize material to give it a sense of authenticity, but also can adapt and accommodate in the moment. Even the best planners can have a poor classroom dynamic; the rigidity of these classes is what prevents them from engaging students in the moment. I genuinely believe in effective planning and mythology but I also believe in breaking from the script and to accommodate the needs of learners in creative ways.
My personal strengths are that I am a keen learner and organized person because like Benjamin Franklin I believe that if I fail to plan then I am planning to fail. Above all I am confident that I have made the right choice and that I am a suitable candidate for
