Personality is a complex area of Psychology, which has been studied for many years, by many experts in the field. Each having their own ideas about how to understand, study and evaluate it. Here I will introduce personality briefly, looking at the theories behind it. Then explain the need for testing. As there are many test that are available to use, for the purpose of this essay I will look at The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and discuss the reliability and validity of some studies around these tests.

The purpose of this paper is to discuss characteristics of my personality. The main focus of this paper will be how my personality has developed over time. As I age and encounter new and different experiences, my personality has adapted and developed further. This paper will give an in-depth exploration into the people and events that have influenced my personality.
To provide guidance and direction, ten carative factors are identified that result in the satisfaction of human needs. The first three factors; acting from a humanistic-altruistic set of values, enabling and sustaining faith and hope, and cultivating a sense of sensitivity to self and others form the foundation of caring from which the other seven carative factors are built ("Jean Watson - philosophy and science of caring," 2010).
The following will reflect this researchers understanding and reflection on personality, how it defines one, what it means, and if one’s personality changes to fit certain situations. At the end this researcher may have a better insight into herself as well as the personalities of others. This insight can help her in her future endeavors.
Personality is the dynamic organization of characteristics that blend or make a person unique and though in his or her appearance or reasoning. (Weinberg & Gould, 1999). According to Eysenck 1966, when he was working in a hospital based in London he was exposed to many different patients. Eysenck’s work led him to develop a very important and well known model of personality in the psychology world. His model on personality theory was the result of culmination of answers to questionnaires on personality styles and statistics that he identified specific parameters to measure them and use in the theory. He used three categories of personality traits and these were; extraversion, psychoticism, and neuroticism. In 1940 Eysenck was doing work at the Audley psychiatric hospital in London while developing his theory. His job at the hospital was to make an initial assessment of each person admitted to the facility prior to being diagnosed by a psychiatrist. This position at the hospital led him to track and write many questions pertaining to behavior and personality. The questions were later applied to more than 700 soldiers who were being treated for neurotic disorders at Maudsley hospital (Eysenck, 1966).
The Final Project for this course requires that you apply the material that you have studied during the term to a case study of your choice. For this assignment, you must choose a well-known current or historical person for an in-depth analysis of personality development. Some examples of the type of person you can choose are famous politicians, philanthropists, entertainers, businesspersons, or individuals who made significant contributions to your field of study or career. You should choose a figure whose biographical information can be easily researched.
