Wudu' is performed before someone performs their prayer, recites Al-Quran or even before they sleep. It is an act where someone washes his/her mouth, face, hands, arms, head and feet with water. It also can be seen as a daily routine to make sure that their hygiene is assured. Mokhtar Salem mentioned in his book, Prayers:A Sport for the Body and Soul, wudu' is believed to prevent the risk of having skin cancer. As the causes of skin cancer are frequent exposed and interacted with chemical substances that stuck on and absorbed by the skin, the effective ways to overcome the problem is by washing the skin regularly.
