Plagiarism is basically taking the credit for someone’s work, in other words cheating and stealing someone else’s hard work. It is important to cite because it proves the amount of research you have done and it makes your research a lot stronger because it gives support from credible sources. What I have learned from this course and from my past experience is that if I am going to use someone else’s work, I have to cite the work and give credit to its creator. In order to avoid plagiarism, I will rewrite anything that needs to be cited properly and I will reread everything in order to make sure that all quotes and work from another individuals are properly cited and paraphrased with its reference.
