Long, long ago in the Polar Native Tribe where it was so cold you go freeze to death lived a little girl named Devika which meant “little goddess”. Devika lived with her father Azad because her mother had died when she gave birth due to difficulties and sickness. After a few years passed nothing was really back to the way it was. They both had to be more independent to help themselves get through the days. Both Devika and her father started to separate and spend less time with each other. Devika was really affected by this issue and really wished she could do something to find a way to make things go back to the way they were. Devika had the idea to spend her time making some unique and beautiful necklaces out of rocks, leaves or anything she could find in the snow because she really wanted to catch her father's attention. She remembered that her father would wake up early in the mornings to go hunt with the rest of the tribe and his three friends named Amit, Amar and Chandan …show more content…
She decided to take a walk into the woods when she noticed a bear like creature. Devika was really curious so she decided to walk towards it and be as quiet as possible until she steps on a twig and it SNAPS! By the time she was able to even make a reaction the demon bear attacked her and Devika was never seen again. As Azad was hunting Devika followed her father through spirit. It started to snow in the shapes of her necklaces. He has so weirded out because he had recognized those shapes before. It took him awhile to realize that it was his daughter crying out for help. Azad raced back to the teepee, looked everywhere for her and was nowhere to be found. He finally got the clue to look in the forest and ran as fast as a cheetah. Azad soon came upon Devika’s dead body and what looked to be bear prints. He started to cry his eyes out when he knew he should’ve cared and loved her the way he was supposed
The history of the Native Americans after the arrival of the Europeans is a history of wars, treaties and agreements, and broken treaties and broken agreements. As late as 1994 the governing bodies of tribal communities have signed treaties and agreements with the U.S. (Niles, 1996). As recently as 1999 the U.S. Supreme Court almost overturned treaty rights of the Chippewa Indians of Minnesota.

Native Americans have had a long important part of American history. Many of them started out from different descendants and eventually joined up for protection. One of these tribes became massive and ended up getting the name seminoles. The seminoles started out in Florida and had small groups form in Georgia and Alabama. But some were forced to move to Oklahoma in the 1800s. The seminoles lived by the river valleys, mountains, and the swamp mostly for food, water, and shelter (Seminole Tribe). The Seminole Tribe is a Native American tribe that originated in present-day Florida. The land had once belonged to the Native Americans until it was discovered by the Spanish explorers. The Seminole Tribe has been around since before the New World was found, although their name has not. The word “Seminole” came from a European misnomer, while describing a group of tribes. These groups of tribes were then called the Seminoles. The Seminole Nation of Oklahoma has overcome a troubled history and a challenging life in their new land to achieve current-day success in the new millennium.

The word Navajo means highly cultivated lands. The Navajo tribes began in the 1500s. They survived by trading maize and woven items for bison meat and weapons (“Navajo Indians”). They lived in small, simple homes made of sticks and bark. Eventually they built the homes out of stones and adobe. They designed their homes so the doors would face the east, causing the sun to shine in. These homes are called hogans.
Creation mythology are present in a multitude of cultures around the globe. The Native American Blackfoot tribe is one of the many civilizations who has a creation myth, for my paper I will be referencing Blackfoot Creation and Origin Myths. One can understand a lot from one’s society by analyzing creation stories and other important texts. The Blackfoot tribe uses these myths to explain the start of their society, the myth is broken up into parts; my focus will be on, the making of the earth, the order of life and death, and old man and the great spirit. With a lack of first hand experience of the creation of the earth, creations myths give incite to who a certain society thinks.
Adsila started running after her but was caught by the strong arms of one of the adults. She started screaming and crying after her mother, but her mother never looked back. Falling down on her knees devastated that if this doesn’t end well she would possibly lose both of her parents. Minutes turned into hours and the sun was now high above her in the sky when she heard other strange voices she had never heard before. Then Adsila had then noticed that the town had gone completely quiet. No birds sung their song, no deer, squirrels or chipmunks rustling by the bushes, no one from the village was talking. In the distance she heard a noise that was never heard before, the voices were becoming louder. Adsila had dropped down under some bushes hoping that she wouldn’t be seen by the source of the strange noises. Slowly she crept down towards the voices, trying to get a better look. Strangely dressed men came around the corner of one of the cabins. They had different clothing on compared to them. They had long pants with weird jackets that had some shiny material on them. These men also had some sort of bag on their shoulders with a weird looking stick that hung on a strap resting on their shoulder. They also had some
The Chippewa Tribe Tepees are spreaded throughout the grassy land, families are rolling up their homes to look for food. These people moved around searching for food and a good hunting place. These people are called the Chippewa or Ojibwa Indians which means “puckered up” because of their moccasins tops being sewn together (Ditchfield 8). They live around the Great Lakes in North America and some parts of Canada (9).

It’s strange to think that even after my commitment to the military, here I am living with Sioux natives. You really humble out after you give up all your materialistic things and live for those around you. There is another white woman here named “Stands With a Fist” and her and I are getting married. My priorities have completely changed. I cared about my family a lot more and I even have love for some animals. I abandoned the fort because I’m very happy living with the natives and “Kicking Bird” has provided me with my very own teepee. These Sioux people are so loyal to their friends, passionate, and loving to their families. Every since I arrived at the Great Plains, there has been a wolf following me. I decided to name him Two Socks because
