The best source to begin your search would be in my opinion scholarly searches: scholarly search include publications such as certain books and scholarly journals. Scholarly Journals are collections or articles written by scholars or academics in a field of study or by someone whom has done research in a particular field. These searches have been proven to have actual studied facts that may be used as a credible source. There is another search you can used when gathering information for assignments that is called doing a popular search. A popular search could include any research that are not scholarly, which could included but are not limited to magazines, newspaper, some website and even professional blogs. They are written by journalist or other professional in the field of study you are searching. The normally cover topic of general interest intended to inform and even entertain the general public. Popular Journals can be tricky due to the fact that you really have to be certain about your search, seeing as though popular search involve the internet and in the day and age we are in now anyone is allowed to post on the internet so the source might not be

The first paper is due by Monday, April 9, 11:59 p.m. You MAY use sources outside of the Liberty Search Engine (and are encouraged to do so). Also you may use scholarly books and not just journal articles. You should avoid using generic websites that do not appear scholarly in nature. A good rule of thumb is that if a website does not have an author, it is not a good source. Good online material has also usually been published in print at some point. Google Scholar and JSTOR are great places to search, as well as the online encyclopedias I've shown you. Always feel free to send me an email if you have questions about sources or formatting.

Once you have selected your research question, review the materials in the text that can help you get started, and then begin conducting outside research using the online library, the Internet, the Wall Street Journal websites, the Economist, and so forth. From your research, create an annotated bibliography. (An annotated bibliography includes the full reference in APA format and a paragraph explaining the value of the source to your research.) This will help you both in organizing your research, and in generating your reference page at the end of the project.
The biggest forms of information given to you through using the internet would include blogs, podcasts, and videos. The sources I use to evaluate when doing research on the internet is authenticated speaker, speaker qualified, authority, other found credible sources, accuracy, last revision, and it’s current these are some factor I could think of. When beginning to research for this project, it seemed that a lot of credible sources were from universities or other educational establishments. The best website is sponsored by Vanderbilt University and has awesome information and was very eye-catching. There was also another site sponsored by The University of North Carolina at Charlotte and it gave good information but not as much as the best one. Lastly, I chose a site that was not very good at all to discuss what makes it not credible. Knowing the difference between a credible source and a non-credible source is crucial to the research process. Each site chosen for this project has several pros and cons of why it is either credible or non-credible.
I obtained my sources by using the Walden University database. The database was very helpful for me in accordance with the topic in the lesson plan. The method I chose was to place a title for my source needed in the EBSco search. This gave me the selection of choices for my topic. One reason for this is because the Walden University Database very dependable in providing credible sources to augment my research. I can use sources online, but one has to be very careful because some sources are not scholarly reviewed, and may contain unsubstantiated claims not backed up by empirical research.

Furthermore, we will discuss the importance of the knowledge management and controlled vocabulary as the main distinction between those librarians who are successful at information retrieval and teaching it and those students that aren’t. We will discuss this under the light of some of the large search engines or web portals that are available to the librarians and the students as part of their search archives like Google; highlighting some of the facts that should be known and/or taught about these web portals before they can be used to
