Experience Goal
Arriving in San Diego, CA the prospective customer was hoping to organize a casual dinner for a group of twelve students. Without much knowledge of the city the customer hoped to find a convenient, affordable option which would contribute positively to the experience of all parties joining. Not looking for a tourist-attraction or a chain restaurant the options were limited to a local favorite within downtown San Diego. Ideally, this restaurant would feature a fairly broad menu, large portions, and provide a unique dining experience. This selection criteria led the prospective customer to choose Sixth Avenue Bistro—a casual and contemporary family-style restaurant.
Brand Research In selecting Sixth Avenue Bistro the prospective customer collected data through a variety of social media platforms. The customer started with The Bistro’s official website and proceeded to Yelp!, TripAdvisor, and Facebook. By all accounts Sixth Avenue Bistro maintained a reputation of casual accommodation with “welcoming staff” and an excellent menu. The Bistro’s website—http://www.sixthavenuebistro.com—is polished and user-friendly featuring company information, a variety of menus as well as pictures of signature dishes. What intrigued the customer throughout his research was the consistency in the rankings given by former patrons. “Don’t miss it” read one review, “neighborhood gem” read the next. The only ‘poor’ review in sight described the food as “so-so,” but
Our poll was to ask people their favorite fast food restaurant. We thought that out of Chick-fil-a, Zaxby’s, McDonald's, and Wendy’s the most popular would be Chick-fil-a. We also thought that McDonald's would be the least voted for. One reason why people voted for Chick-fil-a was that “The chicken is high quality and delicious” (Murray, Gavin. Personal interview. 3 September 2015.) Chick-fil-a being the most voted for shows it’s liked the best. After Anh voted for Zaxby’s, she said, “Zaxby’s is the most tasteful” (Do, Anh. Personal interview. 3 September 2015.) Zaxby’s being voted for the second most reveals that it’s well liked. The reason why Vince chose Wendy’s was: “It is Cheaper but is still tasty” (Giordano, Vince. Personal interview.
Everybody has a favorite place to eat. Eating out can be a very pleasant experience or a disastrous one. People are free to choose from a wide range of different restaurants where to spend time and have a meal. Although, not all restaurants are the same and each has different characteristics regarding class, interior, cuisine and service. This paper provides a comparison of 4 different restaurants (fast food, casual, upscale): McDonald’s, Panda Express, Applebee’s and Delmonico’s.
This paper will introduce a product and service which operates in the U.S. with the intent to expand within foreign markets eventually. The service that I chose is a current service in the food service industry that does exist but would benefit from enhancing it; there are market trends for the new service that would definitely satisfy potential customers’ needs and wants once the idea is brought to their attention. The goal is to bring the feel of the city’s fine dining and lounging experience to areas outside the city without having to travel far or spend more. The service is an
Throughout all of human history, mankind has searched for the ultimate food. To our enjoyment, in 1950, the world was given the answer: Whataburger. Whataburger has taken the hearts of Americans by storm by by serving classic southern style burgers, fries, and shakes. Despite it’s humble beginnings in Corpus Christi, the franchise now boasts over 750 locations and has even secured the 2016 title of “Best Burger in America”. In an effort to understand why this small burger chain became so successful evaluating this legendary business in three different aspects: price, quality, and customer service.
The consumer behaviour that I have selected is “choosing a restaurant for a special occasion”. In this case, I would like to choose a restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend’s 24th birthday. The ideal restaurant should be brand new; the environment should be romantic and comfortable. The food needs to be delicious and delicate. I hope to find a romantic western style restaurant which with beautiful night views. Red wines
As we walked up, this establishment looks like any other Applebee’s I’ve been to. It looked clean and well maintained from the outside, and these characteristics carried over as we traveled inside. We were greeted by a Dassel-Cokato Alumni, and he happily led us to where we would feast for the evening. He sat as at two tables shoved together big enough to fit 10 people, but we only had 6. All of us knew exactly what we needed to satisfy our hunger pains, so we didn’t even look at the menus. Our waitress was quick to get our drinks and take our orders. I took advantage of the half-priced appetizers deal, and asked for an order of classic boneless wings along with an order of mozzarella sticks.
When it comes to dining-in at a restaurant we all want the best service that we can get. When I think of “the best service” I think about the cleanliness, nice waitresses, good food, and affordable prices. There are so many different options when a family thinks about going out to eat, especially if they have small children. It’s often hard to go to a nice dine-in restaurant because sometimes it’s hard to find something on the menu for everyone in the family. I have experienced many things at two completely different restaurants. I can say Demos’ is better than Logan’s because the food and service is much better.
From the objective, the goal of the questionnaire was to understand how consumers see QSR’s for breakfast in an effort to boost sales for Bob’s Burgers. My survey questions are designed to effectively get into the consumers head to gain clear insights on the direction Bob’s Burgers should go in to increase their breakfast time sales. In the demographic and screening section, my questions will clear out the respondents who are not in the target market for this study. While weeding those out who are not of age or who do not use QSR’s for breakfast we also gain some insight on what certain regions prefer from a QSR at breakfast time and how income level and the type of area someone lives in effects purchase decisions. This information would be
Miami’s broad gastronomic landscape has transformed the region into an eminent dining destination. In addition to diverse cuisines, the restaurant scene is a combination of longtime establishments that have been pleasing appetites for decades and newer eateries dedicated to the latest cooking trend. With several of the restaurants hitting major milestones their illustrious deeds are inspirational for the newer kids on the culinary block. The results of this cross-pollinating effect are delectably rousing.
Last year a food critic demoted Thomas Keller’s Per Se to a two-star restaurant. However, they have turned around for the better with new ideas like the “First-Time Diner’s Lunch.”
This was the first of many presentation techniques I was not fond of. I’d suggest they served the butter in a container or bowl so they it doesn’t look so tacky and lazy. It was hard to choose a meal because of the lack of variety and creativity of the menu. When you are hungry the food looks rich, cheesy, and smells edible but the presentation is mediocre. The plates are older and the only garnish used is a bit of parsley. The food looks slapped together and there was no thought put into making it look tasty. After taking a bite of my chicken and pasta I immediately noticed the lack of fresh ingredients and overload of salt. The texture of the pasta was soft and the chicken was unreasonably dry. Prices range from nine to twenty-five dollars depending on what you get, it seems a bit high. The seafood is at the top of the price list but judging by the quality if I end up here again I’ll stick to the salad. When sit down at Bella Cucina you are immediately given fresh, hot garlic rolls and some olive oil. All of the plates and bowls are a modern style work of art. All meals are garnished and decorated with fresh herbs and delectable sauces. Everything is perfectly portioned on your plate and steaming hot. The aroma is intriguing and even though it smell delicious, the taste is like it came from a small town in Italy made by someone’s grandmother. Every ingredient has its own
The idea is simple: offer quality food, an entertaining atmosphere, and an escape from the outer world. Fitting your restaurant to your customer's life-styles is the key to casual dining success. Today's restaurant patrons expect great food and top quality service from the restaurants they visit. In addition to this, they long for an experience, a type of transportation from the hustle and bustle of the real world.
As part of the experience, more attentive service is given to the patrons, whereby a waitress and chef is designated for each party. Since there are only two tables - with each table serving up to eight patrons at a time - the waitress and chef are not overwhelmed. The direct attention given to the patrons by the chefs is savored by patrons; Rocky prides the company’s extensive three-year formal
The restaurant also offers great service and has a variety of different kinds of food, which you can decide on. The guests are
The paper presents an analysis of the different factors influencing the restaurant industry and how these factors increase or decrease the demand for such services. The hypothesis that will be examined is that the performance of restaurants is mostly based on the type of food chosen by customers when they decide to go out for dinner, lunch, breakfast, or simply for a snack. What type of food refers mainly the nationality or concept of the food, (traditional American, Italian, Indian, Latin, or from any other type of culture). This factor is important because when customers go out to for dinner; they decide what to eat before deciding where to eat. That is why this factor is considerably important according to the hypothesis.
