There have been 43 presidents in which they had to go through the same election process as the two popular presidential candidates in 2016, those being Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Some candidates have done some stupid things that would cause controversial statements about being a presidential candidate and others have been prepared since they were young to be president. The way a candidate presents themselves to the people who are voting really matters because if a candidate does not appeal to the voters there is no chance one will win the candidacy. In order to establish which presidential candidate is the best in the 2016 presidential elections. I believe Hillary Clinton is the best president candidate in 2016. But in order to determine that one has to analyze each individual’s past from when they were young to mid adult life and to the present. This will allow one to understand their stands, their character, and their potential as future president.
Firstly one needs to analyze the least wanted candidate between the two popular ones running which is Donald Trump. Donald Trump was born June 14, 1946, in Jamaica Estates, Queens, a neighborhood in New York City. He was the second youngest child of five children, his parents who were Mary and Fred Trump. Out of his four siblings, three are living: Maryanne, Elizabeth, and Robert. Trump 's older brother Fred Jr. died in 1981 from alcoholism, which Trump says led him to avoid trying alcohol or cigarettes. Trump is of
On November 8th, 2016, the United States will finally have its presidential election for the 45th President of the United States of America. This election will be a grating race between a number of political parties and their respective nominees. Two parties are more notable than the others, the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. The Democratic Party has a well-known nominee; Hillary Clinton, who has served as secretary of state, and has been the senator of New York, she has also been the first lady of the U.S while her husband, former president Bill Clinton was in office (Hillary For America). Mrs. Hillary Clinton is mainly a candidate for president because of her experience and great attributes. Alongside Clinton is Mr. Donald J. Trump, who is the respective presidential nominee for the Republican Party. Donald Trump is a well-known billionaire real estate personnel, who rose up to his status due to his great business intellect (Donald Trump Biography). In like matter, there are other nominees for president; however, Trump and Clinton are the two that are most significant and one if not the other will eventually overtake the position as President of the United States. Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are formidable
The Presidential election is one of the most heated topics in our media today. Although there are other candidates running for president, it seems Donald Trump, and Hillary Clinton are the two candidates talked about the most in the media. They are well known for their political arguments that are televised across the nation. Some say that neither of these candidates should win, and others would disagree. Does either candidate have what it takes to become the president of the United States of America? In my opinion, neither candidate should be elected as president. An explanation as to why neither candidate should be elected are the pro’s and con’s that both candidates have
Many American’s were surprised with the results of the 2016 Presidential Election. With Clinton predicted to win with more than seventy percent of the votes, so many Americans were upset or troubled to wake up to Donald Trump as their new president-elect. After the results of the election, violence has broken out throughout the country, mainly targeted at minorities. With the country in an uproar, one may think, how does this sort of situation happen? One could blame the media for this lack of information or surprise outcome of the election. The media has changed this election from the way we view our candidates to who we predicted to win through social media, journalistic bias and people’s internal filter.
This year the presidential elections will take place at the beginning of November, and there are lots of people wondering how this is going to end. Some candidates for these presidential elections may not have been the best choice for their respective parties, but the one that really shouts, “I should not be here” is Mr. Donald Trump. His personality and actions are not the correct ones for a president because of his temper and comments against other cultures. On the other hand, we have Mrs. Clinton who is a more competent candidate; she has more experience on the field of politics than Mr. Trump who has none at all, which are the reasons why she is a better choice as a candidate and as president of the U.S.
There is much dissention and controversy surrounding the political opponents and the upcoming presidential election that will occur in November 2016. Many candidates, both Democrat and Republican, along with their supporters, are setting precedence with their abusive and abrasive behavior. In many instances they are disrespectful, dishonest, uncooperative, and un-American in their pursuit of the highest political office in our country. The most aggressive and unprofessional candidate of all is Donald Trump. When I’m president, I’m a different person. I can do anything,” he said. “I can be the most politically correct person you’ve ever seen.” In my opinion, this man does not belong in the white house and should not become the president of anything.
As stated above both Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump think they are the best candidate for the presidency. They both have very different views on taxes, immigration and abortion. The views they have and decisions they make will affect this country, whether it is good or bad depends on your position. In the end the voters will determine who is the best candidate and the right choice for this
Two of the main political candidates that have made it far enough with a huge votes are Hilary Clinton from the democratic and Donald Trump from the republicans. These two had gained lots of votes comparing any of the candidates that have run so far. Recent result for the New York primaries trump is leading the vote with 60.4 percent from the republicans meanwhile, Clinton won the democrat by 58 percent. Although they seemed to be liked and supported by most part of united states, the real question is that whether or not they are good enough to be the president of United States.
The 2016 Presidential election is coming up and candidates are fighting to get votes to be their party’s candidate. Ted Cruz is a Republican Protestant running for President with very conservative values hoping to bring America the change it needs. The Republicans have many people running for office that excite voters’ interest because they are not politicians. Although, Ted Cruz is a politician and stands behind it using his background in politics to gain ground. His political ad “Blessing” shows him as a man grounded in religious values and will use those values to be the best candidate for President of the United States. Ted Cruz successfully appeals to religious Republicans using different rhetorical strategies to persuade them to vote for him to be the Republican candidate for the 2016 Presidential election.
The 2012 presidential election was fundamentally different than the presidential election of 2004. In 2004, George W Bush defeated John Kerry with 62,028,719 votes, which was essentially 50.8 percent of the ballots cast. In 2004 the issue that was of most concern for Americans was terrorism. Furthermore, the attacks on September 11th 2001 served in bringing the country together to help secure the win for Bush. The polling data shows that 52 percent of the people believed that Bush would do a better job dealing with terrorism and homeland security, versus 29 percent for Kerry. Voters seemed to prefer Bush in dealing with problems in Iraq, 50 to 37 and furthermore, on moral issues, by 47 to 29. Kerry was ahead 48 to 32 on jobs and unemployment and by a fairly wide margin of 51 to 28 on health care. When comparing how people voted, Kerry had the majority of
Watching the 2016 Republican candidates battle for the presidency of the United States, one might reach the conclusion that Ronald Reagan never left the campaign trail. In the second GOP debate alone, the “Great Communicator’s” name was brought up a total of 23 times, which even exceeds the number of times Donald Trump mentioned China. One of the comments coming from Jeb Bush was “I’m on the Reagan side of this.” Additionally, Senator Marco Rubio stated that “Reagan and his approach worked (CITE).” The candidates worked hard to evoke memories of and make comparisons to the beloved former president. The debate even took place in the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley, California. Reagan has been constantly praised by those on the
The president elections are a time where many Americans vote for their favorite candidate, however the upcoming 2016 presidential nomination has gotten controversial. Presidents have been nominated due to their views on policies such as Abraham Lincoln on slavery. However, a lot has been discussed about who’s going to be the elected president this following November, will it be Donald Trump or Hilary Clinton. Hilary Clinton, former secretary of state, has shown persistence since 2008 election, decided to run for office, by hopefully, being the first women president. Donald Trump is a wealthy business man, the C.E.O of the Trump Corporations, has made several controversial statements, such as building the wall between Mexico and the United States and exporting all Muslims out of America. Both have been criticized for their views on what they would do as president. Donald Trump has been targeted as being chauvinist for making racial slurs towards minorities, and Hilary Clinton had a recent scandal in using a private server for communication rather than the official government email provided. However, despite the accusations of Clinton, it may seem she will be the only one fit for the job, since having prior government experience will help her in important. Not only is Clinton the best qualified choice in the 2016 election, but she will also provide the United States with respect and dignity that citizens deserve.
In the history of the United States, the 2016 election cycle is the 57th presidential election, yet it could be the strangest of them all. In contrast, the 2012 election between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney was a relatively tame and mundane election. It was decided by two elements, just as the 2016 election will be decided by. Choice, both by the media and the candidates is one ingredient to determine the outcome of elections. Chance similarly affects election outcomes, though chance deals with environmental factors which candidates cannot control. First, I will briefly explore Sides and Vavreck’s theory in The Gamble. After exploring their theory, I will use their theory to look at the 2016 Democratic primary and assess whether or not it is useful when applied to primaries or if the theory only pertains to the general election. Finally, I will then apply their theory to the 2016 general election to predict the most likely outcome where Hilary Clinton is the next president of the United States. Looking at Sides and Vavreck’s theory and applying it to the current electoral environment, it will become clear that Hilary Clinton will win the Democratic nomination for president and subsequently the general election as well to become the first female president of the United States.
A master's degree is preferred or it can be some type of graduate level of education. Candidates will also have to go through a background investigation and oral interview and polygraph exam period candidates will also have a medical evaluation candidates must also be ready to attend the training academy within a hundred and sixty days of applying for position. The hiring process for US Marshals could take up to a year or longer. Candidates will be given an appointment, to attend a 17 week training program at the center in Glynco, Georgia. Candidates must be willing to move as as there are 94 districts to be assigned to. Candidate will have to move upon completion of the academy, and have to remain at their first duty station for a minimum of three years.
A presidential candidate is chosen by assessing their chances, entering the race, competing in primaries and caucuses, being voted for by delegates in the national nominating convention, and then moving on to the general election. (Hershey, 2015, p. 197) Serious presidential candidates begin to take polls, raise money, identify active supporters in the states with early contests, and compete for the services of respected consultants several years before the election takes place. This process of early fund-raising and competing for media attention and public support has become so important that it’s called the invisible primary or the “money primary”. (Hershey, 2015, p. 196) Candidates who fall behind or lag in funding and endorsements are likely to be weeded-out of the race before most Americans have the chance to form an opinion about them.
There will be a U.S. presidential election on November 8, 2016. Whether you identify as a Republican, a Democrat, or somewhere in between, there is no denying that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are two highly controversial candidates. While it is difficult to tell where most Americans stand on the election issue, it is easy to see that ancient Chinese Legalist thinkers would be staunch supporters of Donald Trump. Legalist ideas seem to be the foundation upon which Trump’s Republican Party was built. Even Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again,” is echoed in the Legalist notion of becoming a strong country with impenetrable borders. Though I, along with many Americans, disagree with Trump on many points, his tax and welfare policies seem to be based on logic, especially in the context of Chinese history. However, America is not ready for a president who has illustrated such a flagrant disregard for the law. Just as the Legalist regime in China was short-lived, so should be Trump’s time in the limelight.
