When Working well with others and making sure everyone stays on task shows collaboration. I've learned collaboration while being on a basketball team i had to work with other on the court to get the play to go in motion. When playing sports for me you have to collaborate with others to make sure you get to the goal to score a shot. One time the play unfolded in a basketball game and i examined where everyone was and i moved to a spot where i had an open shot and i signaled for the ball and took the shot. Collaboration is good for being a Physical Therapist because Shows that of they need something done they can ask for help and they will know that the pressure isn't just on them but they have others to fall on if needed. You can also count
It all began on November 3, 2015 during my first middle school basketball tournament. The grey brick walls of the gymnasium looking more like a prison than a school. The school’s “Lincoln Park Elementary School” sign had graffiti and missed a couple letters from the name. The court was terribly small, but we began by playing the superb team of Jam on It. We were blown out and I headed back up to my mom and dad in the parent filled stands. The game wasn’t even fun to play and we looked like third graders playing them. I looked up to my parents as sad as could be.
Basketball is something you have to acquire a taste for like wine, sushi, or vegetables (I find all of these things unappetizing.) You must also be able to understand the logistics of the game. From my understanding basketball is basically two teams of heavily sweating people running up and down a gym for about an hour or more attempting to score points by shooting a ball into a hoop. One of my friends, a lanky boy named Jeremy, was on my school’s basketball team. He was one of the reasons my friend group decided to spend a good portion of our senior year at basketball games.
Basketball was my favorite sport growing up. I’ve played since I was little and I still play the game today. I played basketball at my elementary school, St. Cecilia, from Kindergarten till 8th Grade and also played AAU basketball for about 2 years before entering High School. Going into my freshmen year of High School, the first sport I played was basketball. Tryouts began in about the start of November and ended about 2 weeks after. I had made the Freshmen A team. I was excited and as the season progressed, we didn’t win many games but I still had fun playing. Nearing the end of the season, golf was another sport coming up that I also wanted to try and play. I say “try and play” because at the time, I was also going to play AAU basketball. I had set in my mind that I was going to play basketball for all of my four years of high school, but my parents pushed me to tryout for golf. When the basketball season ended, golf tryouts started. Tryouts lasted for about 2 weeks, and I made the JV team. When I found out I made the team, I was very surprised. I hadn’t put in the hard work as others before tryouts came around, but the coach saw potential in me and that I can become a great player. The coach saw so much potential in me, that every week, I kept progressing in skill and fine tuning my mechanics. Halfway through the season, about 4 or 5 weeks after I made the team, my coach gave me the chance to play with the Varsity Golf team for a couple days. I was excited and eager to
Successful teamwork and collaboration directly affects the efficacy of interdisciplinary communication. When effective communication is achieved within the healthcare team, this increases the amount of positive patient outcomes. Nurses and physicians must cooperate in order to attain a synergetic relationship. Their roles are integral to creating a safe environment for their patients. When all of these elements combine, the quality of care improves and collegial relationships are strengthened.
Q1. Using the current exchange rate, what is the initial purchase cost per unit (in US dollars) paid to Dong Hai Supply? (Do not include transportation costs)
Throughout my academic career, most of the courses I’ve taken were self-disciplined and few projects I was involved with involved teamwork and collaboration. Despite this, my classmates and I would always have group study sessions to do homework and to study the night before a big test. My best examples of collaboration are from my experience while playing varsity basketball.
Our 8th grade basketball team were putting on a show! Opponents would enter bobcat territory where our team would play a hard fight to take another win. Every game spectators are left in astonishment after witnessing determination, willingness, and our spirit until the clock expires down to its last second.
After posting for your group, compare one of your team to another type of team.
To be perfectly honest, I didn’t have a clue as regards “Forbidden Island” and wasn’t too familiar with many board or card games. My initial
Growing up, the only thing I looked forward to was playing sports throughout high school. I played basketball, volleyball, and softball in the rec league. It was my favorite thing to do, I loved being active. I was on a traveling basketball team in 5th-6th grade which was a transition from leaving rec sports to traveling with my friends. This is when competing against competitive teams from different towns started.
The Boys Varsity Basketball team is an amazing team! The players chemistry and selflessness has helped them to become the number one team in the nation, win the CIF championship, and compete in the state championship. It really is crazy when you look at the starting lineup for the team. It includes two freshman ! Thats crazy ! Two freshman who contributed greatly in their championship runs. One of the many great things about this team is that it has a good mix of youth and veteran experience.Going from LaMelo to Nick, and from Lonzo to Elijah the team has a perfect mix of freshman/sophomores and juniors/seniors. When asked about his typical pregame meal, Eli said “ Lima beans and
Starting off highschool I was always known as the shy boy however, things began to change when I made it onto the basketball team. On top of being one of the smallest and shortest, I never interacted with anyone and kept to myself. I was never looked at as a star player so after what seemed like an endless amount of practicing. My hard work finally paid off, I went from starting off as a benchwarmer to becoming a starting player. My coaches had seen how much I had improved which allowed me to move up to varsity my junior year. Being on the varsity team had brought a lot of pressure on me to be a better player. Throughout the season I was able to learn and gain experience from my older teammates.
I played with a traveling basketball club team from the ages of 13 to 18, while playing on the team I have helped coach some of the younger boys and girls; teams starting at 4 years old all the way up to 16 years old. I was in charge of coaching each drill, and making sure the kids had fun at the same time. I also have a nephew who is 2 and a half who participates in the lil' kickers class at this facility. I love seeing the youth play sports, and learning the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.
If you put time, energy and passion into something you adore, you should be rewarded for your efforts. Coming from elementary school where everyone was given an equal chance to participate was a tremendous change, unfortunately that wasn’t the case in high school. On our grade eight basketball team, my peers and I practiced during and out of school to improve our basketball skills so we can become a competitive team. While only five players represented the team, the rest of us sat on the bench without an opportunity to display our skills. It all altered when two star players went on a vacation during the season. I became optimistic, knowing this was my time to showcase the strength and capability within myself. As a team with a strong bench
One rainy night in November, I arrived to the church gym for my first basketball practice of the season. As I walked in the doors creaked and you could smell the gym floor. As I already heard the basketballs hitting the ground, bouncing up and down. My friends Brittany and Destiny walked in right behind me through the door. That was when we realized we were the only girls surrounded by all guys. As practice came to a start we began to run, it felt like we were never going to stop. Up and down the court as we ran suicides, you could hear the squeaking of shoes as we went from the next line back and then on to the next. Before we started scrimmaging, the two captains were boys. Brittany, Destiny, and I stood in amazement as we were the last three standing there. You could see by their expressions they didn’t want any of us on either team.
