Kids grow up loving to play sports in their free time. They never get paid to play when they are at a young age. They do it for the love of the game and for the need for competition. This is the way that it is in college right now. College athletes compete with all their hearts to be the best they can for their schools. They don’t get paid a cent. It has been a common debate if that is the right way to do it. Should it be that college athletes do not deserve to get paid for playing a sport? It should not be this way. College athletes certainly should get paid to play.

Only, they are an empire built on other people’s success.Those players will never see a nickel for their work. That is unless they go pro, which to reiterate is restricted by NCAA rules. Although Athletes entertain us all and provide us with something to look forward to, their paychecks are too big for what they do. There are millions of people who are injured in the military or have illnesses that need that money to help them recover ,but instead we give the money to people who entertain us.

Athletes should not be drafted for professional sports straight out of high school. Instead they should be allowed time before going pro to either attend college, play in a minor league or to further mature into adulthood. After all, every student will excel at differently rates. Even after high school, it is quintessential for students to continue their education. In today’s society, athletes are more than just celebrities they are role models for many of the youth.

Do think that it is necessary for Pro-athletes to get a limit to what they get paid through salary caps? There shouldn’t be a salary cap in professional sports because all-stars might be paid the same amount of money as really bad players with low salaries or vise versa, if people pay a lot of money to watch these all-stars they shouldn’t have a limit to how much they get paid, and if all-stars aren’t happy about the low paying salary some of these players might quit their pro league and sports fans would be angered and mad.

The reason why they need salary caps is so teams will have a balance of players. Some teams would just be completely stacked with great players. Understanding if you are a professional athlete you're good, but there is always good and great. Teams wants the great athletes, not just the good ones. Also fans want to watch a good game, nobody wants to watch games when they know the team is just going to kill the other team. It is the same as in a the business world , if you work hard and improve and stand out you will eventually get more money or If you can’t do your job right and always messing up then you get fire ,but in this case in sport you get released from the team. Many Athletes devote their lives to training and improving at their job, also putting their careers on the line each and every time they go to work. For Example, a professional’s athletes don’t have security in their jobs, because of that many athletes are only good at their sport and a career ending injury could doom their dreams and even if they able to make a comeback it’s rare for them to become as good they used to be or even make a decent salary. Many professional athletes and entertainers earn large sums of money for telling jokes, throwing a football, swinging a bat, and shooting a basketball. The people that drive trucks, save lives, and serve in the military don’t get paid as much as they do. They suffer more than the professional athletes and entertainers do too.
