According to Morris (2016), “Process improvement was an area in which concern was reflected in when reviewing the data from the survey. It appears that while the organization appeared to be able to adjust to the influx of business with the older processes, the people who were performing the tasks were aware that there are more relevant available and overall easier ways to complete the tasks in less time.” With business functioning the way that it does on a regular basis through forums that now require collaboration and partnering with what was before considered to be an unlikely organization, there is a need to be transparent in this area. In some areas of business this has not appeared to be a relevant need, but that is changing for organizations on a daily basis. Sadly, the revelation for organizations to make the necessary changes to include detailed documentation are often not realized until there is a major event at the organization that is not easily resolved due to the lack of a process being in place or documentation being in place that proves to be effective. In all areas of business there is an urgent and significant need for process to be written and verified. It is not enough that a person who completes a task or process on a daily basis documents what one believes is done on a regular basis to address the needs of the organization, but that there needs to be a quality measurement that verifies that the information that has been provided is not only correct, but also effective.
