This can take the appearance of using powdered or pre-mixed shakes, pureeing foods or restricting your food intake to soups and store bought/prescribed drinks. Due to the lack of solid shape foods, liquid diets mostly reduce calories through eliminating processed carbohydrates, meat and fiber sources. ● Most common diet is Clear liquid diet. Clear liquid diet ● A clear liquid diet consists of clear liquid such as water, broth and plain gelatin that are easily digested and leave no undigested residue in your intestinal tract. Your doctor may prescribe a clear liquid diet before certain medical procedures or if you have certain digestive problems. Because a clear liquid diet can't provide you with adequate calories and nutrients, it shouldn't be continued for more than a few days. ● Drinks such as fruit juices without pulp, apple or white grape. Fruit-flavored beverages, such as fruit punch or lemonade. Carbonated drinks preferably (Club soda).
