“Every sight in space is spectacular.” This was said by Neil Armstrong, the first man to supposedly land on the moon. The question is, did he really land on the moon, or was it a broadcasted fraud? Thousands of Americans argue that it was a setup such as the attacks on September 11, and every day, somebody changes their opinion on what really happened. For many years, people have been trying to figure out this occasion, and ever since Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Buzz Aldrin Ventured down from the moon, conspiracies have been appearing. The three men traveled on a ship called the “Eagle”. Facts show that Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong were the only two to land, while Michael Collins orbited the moon. For example, “Conspiracy theorists have pointed out that when the first moon landing was shown on live television, viewers could clearly see the American flag waving and fluttering as Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin planted it” said Josh Fox. Many NASA employees and citizens have been able to prove that the flag was only moving because of the inertia given by Neil Armstrong as he was planting it. There is no wind up in the atmosphere of the moon which is the reason why the footprints of Buzz and Neil will be preserved for hundreds of years. Another conspiracy that many people have created is why the sky black with no stars in the background. This has been proven by NASA by saying, “The moon's surface reflects sunlight, and that glare would have made stars difficult to see. Also, the astronauts photographed their lunar adventures using fast exposure settings, which would have limited incoming background light.” This is proof that two Americans really did land on the moon and for more proof, many anecdotes of these men that felt the rush themselves. The book, “Houston, we’ve had a problem” by Jim Lovell describes the journey back home from the moon, and how Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins stared into the eyes of death himself.
