My entire journey throughout the semester has been amazing underlining a foundation within me. I have never worked in an industry and doesn’t know how working be like, I took this course to get the insights of an industry and get a glimpse of how working out in the industry would be like. Einstein once said that “the only source of knowledge is experience." And learning from a professor of this caliber and expertise with industrial experience is nothing what anyone could have asked for. I also believe with the thought of ‘learn by doing’. This course has imparted within me not only decision making and managerial skills but also have brought out best of me as an individual. The first day of this class was unexpected as it wasn’t regular class we were assigned to a team of 6, all having different culture, nature, work ethics and outlook, after a while one of team members dropped out of the class and became 5 now his work load too was distributed and put on us all just like real life it happens when one person is out of a project and others engage together and as a team and fill the void to meet the deadlines and complete homework. One of interpersonal skills I learned about that fosters a team engagement is Communication, we all had different classes on different days some worked on campus and others had issue with late night commutes so working together and coming out with solutions like creating WhatsApp groups and shared google docs helped us overcome all these barriers so
The aim of this assignment is to give a reflective account on group presentation and the peer assessment process as well as the development of a personal action plan. It would involve using ‘The What? Model of Structured Reflection’ (Driscoll 2007) to analyse the experience of using a group designed assessment tool to assess my peers and the experience of being peer assessed. Additionally, experience of completing a group presentation would be reflected upon. A personal action plan which identifies areas for personal development and the designed assessment tool is attached as appendix 1 and 2 respectively.
Over the course, as I began to see all the material and work come together, I felt a sense of accomplishment and felt very proud of what I had done over the semester. This learning experience has definitely opened my eyes and opened new doors for me professionally already.
In conclusion, this semester while I have been in this course has been one of incredible growth. I am a much happier person and may even take this course a second time because It may be more helpful the easier it becomes for me to open
Reflect on what you have learned in this course and discuss how it might influence your work as a professional
I believe this course is going to be an enrinched experience for us all. Good job to us all for taking the steps in adding another degree to our walls or desks in order to accomplish our career goals. Before taking this course I was really excited about what I am going to learn. And I was right! This course is not only interesting but it is also helpful. I have learned that the grade I am having right now is the reflection of my try throughout the entire semester.
This course not only helped me to learn about myself, but others as well. I quickly figured out how I knew very little going through this internship and once I realized that, I found out that
I didn’t really think this course would change the way I perform my job. I found that it has changed my awareness and in turn has changed things I do that I didn’t notice. I am more aware of the descisions made in upper management and how it effects the production scheduling as much as it does. We have had a lot of deadlines set on my department with new product lines. We always meet the demands due to the scheduling management sets us as leaders
During my college life on campus in my major, I normally get a lot of group assignment to complete. In my second semester, I have been engaged with some hard working group members who willing to achieve their goals. In this case, all of us were on the same pace to complete the assignment and get it done on time to the best of our ability. In my communication class called editing and film, One of the projects was to film some athletes performing and write an article about the sport. There were five members in my group and we all work together and each individual gets a sign task to do and complete it without an issue. We get one week to perform the task and the follow Monday we would have to present it to the class, we have complete the work on time because we all work hard together as a team to get the job done

Working with a new team can be a challenging effort as is; however, working with a team who was constantly required to join other teams can place a strain on team dynamics to an even further extent. Composed of only three individuals, working effectively together was often a very difficult task for my team, as we were repeatedly obligated to join other groups throughout activities. This put pressure on not only our team but others as no one was familiar with the team dynamics of each group except for the members of that team. This was most noticeable during the paper airplane challenge and having to join another team to discuss a case study. The paper airplane activity captivated the challenges of a team as one of our group members was absent that class, and we were
At this internship I have been able to apply my scholarly knowledge to my working experience. The main classes that have helped me in this work experience is Career in Professional Development I & II, Business Ethnics, Management of Organizations, Principles of Marketing, Financial Accounting, and Managerial Accounting.
I must admit that I have always looked at this type of course as being a complete waste of time. After taking the Learning Connections Inventory, I've discovered that I'm a Dynamic Learner according to the results of the questionnaire. It's totally shed some light on the how, what, when and why of my success and failures in my educational as well as personal and professional life.
Throughout the course of my workplace practices class I have participated in a consisted of completing assignments and work experience regarding my career pathways. As I look back and reflect on my time at this course, I am able to explore the graduate qualities and capabilities I have achieved over the duration of this study period, as well as the skills and abilities I need to improve on. Graduate qualities are skills that have been learned by students throughout the course of their schooling life, for example, it is a learning outcome of a program specifically stating the things that's been learned by students who have completed that program of study. In this reflection, I will be discussing about my strength and weakness personal
My educational experience is one amazing thing I would never forget. My parents gave me an experience of a lifetime that I would never let go and continue to expand. It was a gift of a great education I could have tossed away but instead I took advantage of it and it expanded my intellect and made me more independent. As a young girl my parents always told me, they wanted a great educational experience for me. They said no matter what it took to get me into good schools, to have a great education they will do it. My parents worked very hard to give me the opportunity to be in private school my whole life since pre-school. They always told me to work hard, be bright and be bold. The educational level I had being in private school my whole life was amazing. What was amazing about my education level is that I was able to take all college prep. classes, I took an AP Spanish class, my teachers were always on top of us to hand in work in time, essays in my English class were based on a college level writing. It was amazing because my school expanded my mind more on a college based level.
