The Grays Harbor Community Foundation Scholarship hasn't just helped my education but it has helped me achieve my dream of going to college. Without the scholarship I don't know how I would have came up with the money to pay for college, and for that I am grateful.
At first I didn't know we only needed to take three classes a quarter and when I found out I thought to myself “man if I'm only going to be taking three classes a quarter, college is going to be a peace of cake” but soon I realized that would not be the case. All of my teachers required me to do outside work from the classroom. I started becoming overwhelmed with school work and soccer at the same time since I was part of the mens soccer team. But at the end of the quarter I managed
Pursuant to California Vehicle Code (40902), I plead not guilty by Trial by Written Declaration of the charges of CVC 22349 (b). I have paid the fine of $352 and have attached the receipt to the case as instructed.
This is a reflective essay based on a event which took place in a hospital setting. The aim of this essay is to explore how members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) worked together and communicate with each other to achieve the best patients outcome.
I have also operated as part of a team, for example AUQA audits, scholarship allocations, and large IT projects. Having spent most of my career working in schools and faculties I am well versed in dealing with students, general and academic staff and central units. These include timetabling, graduation, prizes and scholarships, and student and academic administration. I have also provided support to academic staff as required, for example in invigilating assessment items (including online assessment), developing course and subject proposals, reviewing Turn It In reports for potential plagiarism, and enabling advanced Blackboard
Academically, I am a student who loves to challenge herself. I will take the harder courses knowing that I may struggle and that the chances of getting a high grade are lower. I am the type of student who makes an effort to understand and fully grasp concepts by going to office hours, asking questions, and studying. I make sure to understand the material and not just learn something for the sake of learning it. I am a driven student who takes initiative when it comes to my education, however I also feel that in college I will need guidance. I am not always sure which route is best to take and I need the support of people who have already gone through similar experiences. USC is a wonderful university filled with some of this generation’s, and
During the next couple years of my life, I plan on graduating high school, and with the help of a grant, attending Clackamas community college for two years. During these two years, I will be a student and be working in order to save money for the rest of my schooling. While I am studying at Clackamas community college, I will be studying under their engineering programs in order to get a head in my Engineering career. After the two years of community college I will be attending a in-state college with an engineering program.
My desire was to challenge myself and pursue my belief in life-long learning. And yes, the last eight weeks have definitely been a challenge intellectually in IDS 101. After the first two weeks of school, I seriously questioned why I would go back to school at fifty-one years of age for personal satisfaction. The days were long and I wasn’t sure I still had the self-discipline and determination that would be needed to finish. Over the last eight weeks, this class gave me numerous opportunities to hone my skills in critical thinking, research, and writing. This class has given me the necessary skills to continue toward completing my degree.
The one idea that drew me to a liberal arts college was the ability to take a wide breadth of classes from all disciplines. I hope to receive not just facts and memorization out of my education, but applications to other subjects and even daily activities. A prominent example of this is my potential major, physics. To prepare for an eventual career in the scientific field, this semester I am pursuing research in physical oceanography. Also, I joined the physics club in order to extend my learning outside the classroom, in addition to using this club as an opportunity to seek out like-minded individuals who also share a passion for science.
There are many exceptional things in the city of Johns Creek. What I think makes Johns Creek the most extraordinary and the greatest community in Georgia, is the citizens who live there and all of the public services available for your use.
If accepted into CSULB’s MSW program, I have already made arrangement in relocating down to Long Beach; whether it may be until the completion of the program, or as permanent status. I have already made an agreement with specific family members who are more than willing to welcome me into their home to live as I attend school. Since my studies are very important and are a priority, I have been given the privilege to be able to live free of charge so that I may be able to focus on my studies. With that news, it will give me the opportunity to focus and spend more time primarily on my studies along with internship hours leaving me the privilege to only need to work a part-time job that if flexible with my schedule of class and internship so that
Vital signs are a fundamental component of nursing care and indicate the body’s ability to maintain blood flow, regulate temperature and regulate oxygenate the body tissue. I’ve always been the type of person to always plan ahead, to always assess each defining factor, and to always prepare myself for whatever life throws at me. As I type this, I look back and evaluate as well as reflect upon the very occurrences that have led me to where I am today: my family-my parents in particular, as they never made it through to college-so this process is new to everyone within my household, my own failures and successes, my community, and my education have all been vast influences on my character, especially my growth as a young adult. Recently, I’ve been pondering as to what will define me as an individual; what will have the greatest impact on me that will distinguish me from others, and more importantly what will help me apprehend my own goals? Everyone can say that they’re lives being the way they were guided them to the path they ended up on, and I know that is true too, but I feel there’s something more prominent as to why a person chooses to pursue a particular goal, career, or other dealings. This realization arose from my participation in the Regional Program for Excellence, a program that provides students with internships in fields they’re inquiring in before entering college, and my inquisitions regarding the significance as well as the impact on my rapidly changing life.
I always knew I was different or didn’t fit in as well as my other classmates. I mean, sure I talked, dressed and pretty much looked like everyone else, but my ethnic background made me think I couldn’t succeed in life because I was born in a foreign country. Whenever people would talk about immigration at school, I would became very uncomfortable and sit silently. It felt like all eyes were on me, but when I would look around no one was actually staring. They were concentrated on their work or staring off into space.
This essay is a reflective essay on my learning development from a young age through to my current position as a University Student. I will be relating my learning development back to two theories of human development, Vygotstsky’s socio-cultural theory and Marcia’s version of Erikson’s theory of identity development. I will identify and discuss the challenge I have faced with my identity and how this has impacted on my development.
This unit does not introduce much new material. Instead, we expect you to integrate technical and theoretical knowledge acquired from study across your degree. We refer to two frameworks that may support you in carrying out this integration:
The biggest way that I have benefitted from philanthropy is through scholarships. Without the generosity of many donors, I would not be attending Indiana University. I am so grateful that these donors, have given me the opportunity to chase my dreams. Their scholarships are almost invaluable to me. They have provided me with much more than just an education, they have helped me grow as a person, and I can never thank them enough for that.
