My education started not long after I was born in 1989. I attended Ruth Washburn Nursery School, for 3 years, but I don’t have a lot of memories of what I learned. 3 things stand out to me. This was a place of great fun!! I learned how to love running. I could run for ages. Secondly the plecostomus’s were the coolest fish in the fish tank! Lastly I remember the song that goes, “Love is something if you give it away, give it away, give it away.”
In high school as well as college, in addition to being a student-athlete, I worked part-time at Express Oil Change—working my way from a small manual position to a corporate position as a vital medium between employees and the owners. I now work as an Operational Support Coordinator which involves recruiting mechanics and technicians for retail shops, marketing, and human resources. Communication with others is a key aspect of my job. I feel my experience in sociology gives me a strong understanding of human behavior, but I am seeking to expand my knowledge in the integral fields of business such as finance and accounting. Therefore, a Master’s degree in Business Administration would help me become more versatile in my current position and would be necessary for any future
Let me first start by saying that I am so excited I have found a university that’s offers such an amazing Information Technology Management program to fulfill my educational needs. I currently have an Associates of Science in Science from Tidewater Community College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Management from Saint Leo University. After earning my degrees I have been working in the healthcare field, Marketing /Sales, but Banking Technical Healthcare I desired the most. I took an ITE introduction 610 course for the University of Maryland in 2015 to get a glimpse of information technology. Although this one course
Nervousness and excitement filled my being as I took those first, shaky steps on Purdue University’s West Lafayette campus. Having just lost my only parent to cancer the year prior, the determination to honor her memory by being the first to graduate college burned brightly within me as I made my way through the halls to my dorm room. What occurred afterwards is testaments my resolve to complete the endeavor I started in hopes of finding grandeur in the pastures beyond graduation. It is this same hope that drives my aspiration to become a Human Resource Generalist through the impactful knowledge and networks gained within University of Colorado Global Campus’ masters of Human Resources Management.
My goal is to further develop my career, and grow up to a leadership position within a leading firm that places priority on professionalism and considers their human resources as one of their main assets. I have decided to strive for the master’s program in Human Resources Management because it fits the profile of my career goals. After 7 years of experience in the field I am confident that working in human resources is what makes me feel at my fullest potential, and a life changing decision I have made for my
1. Explain what the phrase “taking ownership of your learning” means to you. Personally, the term “taking ownership of learning” means being responsible of the things that is related to learning. Putting in effort to learn the study material, doing the assignments well and on time, managing my time, and constantly being aware of learning, having an open mind to accept the education . 2.
I plan to major in business and minor in Environmental Sustainability. The strong liberal arts focus rooted in the curriculum, juxtaposing and intertwining the two courses together, my understanding of the economic world and the environment would be greatly enriched. Boasting one of the best business school, I plan to utilize the resources to the fullest.
These degrees require candidates to have more training and knowledge of the human resource aspects; therefore, organization see candidates with a higher degree as more qualify and beneficial prospects to their company. A Bachelor’s degree or above, will give aspirant better job opportunities and qualify them for more broad ranges of positions, from hospital human resource management to training managers. For advanced positions in a large corporation’s HR department, or for the position that involved in developing human resources policy, aspirant would best acquire a Master’s degree or PhD.
I have been preparing for my post-secondary education. I have taken course that I hope to continue throughout college like Psychology. After doing research on universities I have decided on Florida state University, Stanford or University of California. I chose these colleges based on their psychology/criminology courses.
The students in Math 123 at Ivy Tech Community College were assigned the third and final Math project in November of 2015. This project included an Excel file assignment, this time focusing on finance and mortgages. The purpose of this project was to demonstrate the monetary importance of education by incorporating each students’ chosen career field as a base value, as well as to point out the advantages of investing in an IRA or 401K plan for retirement. The students were expected to make use “payment,” “present value,” and “future value” functions in Microsoft Excel to demonstrate efficiency in making calculations relating to mortgage payment, home value, and future IRA values. The students were also required to write a reflection paper to validate their understanding of the subject matter.
I hope that you can advise me, I know Rutgers Business School is an excellent school to pursue a business major.
To achieve success in education and career one must be dedicated and committed to our goals. You must have a clear objective what the goals are and have the proper plan to accomplish your success. Dedication with the proper approach will certainly bring success both in your education and career goals. Just wishing your goals will not bring you success, you must have a desire, the eagerness and driving force to be successful. You must make sacrifices and have a plan in mind. The first part of the plan is to create a goal for you. After that, you need to set a time frame to accomplish the task, then everyday work toward it. You must put in a great effort and work hard to create success in your education and career paths and once you achieve it you must create an environment to maintain it.
“The goal of education is not to increase the amount of knowledge but to create the possibilities for a child to invent and discover, to create men who are capable of doing new things,” stated by Jean Piaget. Education serves many purposes; it helps a child open their eyes to the world, it provides curiosity and determination for a young adult, and it can provide middle age adults and elders with a spark of belonging and hope. To be able to achieve these purposes, the process of education must start at a young age. Singing the ABC’s to an infant, reading to a toddler, encouraging writing and math skills are a few steps towards all the possibilities a person could have in life.
My educational background began with me attending public school for about three years, then I went to catholic school. Middle school was the best part of my education. In middle school I was given the opportunity to express myself creatively through dance, drama, writing, and with my voice. I attended a school of arts for one year; I noticed some changes that I was not familiar with when I was at student at catholic school. While in catholic school we studied a curriculum that included science, math, language, and social studies, but religion was dominant over all the material. At the school of the arts, I studied the same materials but the religion was absent, instead we were offered creative classes such as dance, drama, band, and vocal chorus. In addition to the curriculum there were the projects, for example, the science fair and social studies fair projects. I have always liked to be unique and creative and I would use these projects to show that. I was even fortunate enough to be accepted to attend Martin Luther King Magnet High School, neither myself nor my parents had considered this as an opportunity. As a student at MLK, I learned I would have to push myself and give extra effort in order to make the grade. The educators believed in high quality learning objectives, as students we were required to analyze information and compare and contrast, instead of completing simple assignments where we would recall information. I studied seven or eight subjects per day and I
