Rhonda, Thank you for sharing your personal experience regarding your house being cleaned. Your example highlights a commonality among all businesses, regardless of their size, the customer’s perception of a company is often primarily based on their interactions with a small number of employees. Therefore, it’s critical that companies set clear expectations for their employees and have processes and procedures in place to properly train employees, monitor their performance, provide feedback, and hold them accountable (Lester & Parnell, 2006). Without those basic systems in place, businesses greatly increase their risk of having unhappy customers, under trained and/or under performing employees, and it’s virtually impossible to provide a consistently

Linda Hill’s article “Becoming the Boss” details several helpful and important ideas for first time leaders and managers to consider. My first overview of the article included thoughts that the article had a somewhat discouraging and negative outlook on new managers. Hill makes the statement throughout the article that the transition into becoming a leader or new manager is often very traumatic and the failures of the new managers are not surprising. After a more detailed review, I understand Hill’s purpose is to share the negative stories of new managers so the reader can use the stories as a learning guide for the transition into the managerial role. After understanding Hill’s purpose, it is easier to
Sherrod’s working environment is in the same general location of Smithy’s; she actually has a direct view into his office. Smithy and Tucker often engage in personal conversation which Sherrod overhears. For the most part, Sherrod is able to tune out their conversation and go about her work day. During the week of February 15, 2016 (she did not provide a specific date) Tucker was standing in Smithy’s doorway discussing personal business. Sherrod tried not to listen but did hear Tucker mention her husband and child which is how she knew Tucker and Smithy were conversing personally. During this conversation, Sherrod heard Smithy say something about giving a “blow job”, language which offended her even though she was not a part of the conversation

BACKGROUND: Sue Growne, client G14159, is looking to purchase a tavern, which would include both realty and personality. So ReaLand CPA’s could better serve this client, I, Bobbi Paternico was tasked with researching the legal and tax options available to the client, based upon the entity utilized for the purchase and the method of purchase.
PER REPORTER: Rhonda said today when she contacted Teayrra to offer her case management services to help her with her thirteen-year-old son (Donavin). She said Teayrra told her, she does not want the child in her home at this point due to him being a danger to her and her other three children. According to Teayrra, Donavin threatens to kill her as well as his siblings and attacks his sisters physically. It is unknown if Donavin ha ever left any bruises or scars on the children or what he actually hits them with. She said she has also found knives hidden in Donavin’s room causing her and her other three children to sleep in locked room or in the car due to them being afraid of him. Teayrra mentioned wanting to terminate her rights due to her feeling like the child needs to be in twenty-four-hour care somewhere. She also mentioned
My interview with Debbie Cruit was very fun and informational. She explained to me all the questions I had about township and what it was. Our interview took place in the Okaw Township Building, which was the first time I had ever been in there, so it was really interesting to see where their meetings took place. Debbie says her favorite part about being the supervisor of the township is that she gets to oversee and make sure that the taxpayers money is spent right. Debbie has only been in the township for a year, but has enjoyed taking on the role.
For my first community interaction, I skyped with Rhonda Wilhite. This interaction occurred on October 17th. I have never used Skype before, so the session was very interesting. For the most part I was able to understand what Rhonda was saying. Some of it was difficult because she wasn’t centered on the screen, when she moved to far to the left or the right I could not see her. This only happened a couple of times and I had to ask her to repeat what she was saying, she would normally realize what happened and would move into the frame. Some of the signs she used we have not learned in class yet, which also made it hard to communicate with her. This is only happened a few times as well. She understood what I was trying to say; even though there
Firstly, the survey carried out has disclosed the preferences of customers on the type of cleaning services they prefer, the frequency and how it should be performed. The involvement and willingness of the target customers to offer suggestions indicates the vacuum that the company seeks to occupy through provision of services that enable customers to participate remotely in the cleaning
The first person I interviewed is my friend and has had less than 5 years in the workforce. Lewis is a sandwich artist, and has started in the food industry when he was 14. Although Lewis is working at Subway, he has worked at other food places like Pizza Hut. His workplace has a number of microwaves, toasters, ovens, fridges, freezers, and computers that promote sales online. Hygiene is a big deal in Lewis’s workplace, as he needs to satisfy his customers with fresh food that doesn’t risk the consumers of getting any food poisoning. All surfaces must be cleaned regularly, and Subway workers must wear gloves when serving food to display OHS.
The recovery time for cleaning is very short in a building being serviced seven days a week. The only way to address this issue is open communication regarding the hours and days required for the job, during the interview/staff selection process. It has been my practice that proper training and open communication channels are key to public sector buildings that need servicing seven days a week. A staff member who is fully informed and trained sufficiently will perform on a much higher level as compared to a staff member that was rushed into a situation they were not expecting. One needs a good backup plan as well with key personnel who can be trusted for emergencies. (2). Finding staff members who care about the job and take pride in their performance is always a challenge. Sadly, janitorial/custodial work can be diminished in the eyes of some. A staff member working around the public needs to be coached and taught that they perform a vital and essential function for the state. They need to have the understanding that the library staff are members of their own team - working for the same employer, yet just performing a different
