More than a million different kinds of animals inhabit the earth. The exact number is not known, for new kinds are continually being discovered. They live in the seas, from the surfaces down to the black depths where no ray of sunlight penetrates. Animals can be domesticated or left in the wild where they truly belong. However, as time passed by, nowadays, animals are endlessly being exploited and fought for around the globe. Different opinions from different countries and races have divided to defend to defend their views and make a stand. This issue about the animals’ welfare should be taken more seriously until we find the right answers.

Big game trophy hunting is flat out one of the worst kind of violations you can commit as I personally see it. Knowing that humans kill animals just to show off or either claiming it as a "sport" is truly a sad situation going on. Big game trophy hunting should be banned because it is an inhumane and dangerous practice, they can possibly be killing endangered species, and wildlife populations immensely begin plummeting. Moreover what people must understand is that animals deserve to live just like us humans

Over the last couple hundred years, this world has expanded beyond its horizons and the new equipment and technology has allowed humans to advance in many areas, but has also damaged the basic ethics and morals of some. Today on television, one will see the over dramatized body spray commercials or the famous celebrity advertising their most favorable shampoo and stating its claims, but what most do not know is that a couple or couple hundred, animals were killed to approve, by law, of that product. This act is called animal testing, and its method is used in many companies for their products to be released. I do not agree with this practice simply because it harms innocent animals for products that we do not need to survive or remain with. At this time, my fiancé and I cannot have children, so we purchased a puppy. Not some cute tiny toy poodle, not some little pug, a little pit bull puppy. He was all white at birth.  I have never owned a pit bull myself, I was raised around them though as family pets. With this said I put this question to you. What gives us the right, as animals, to brutally abuse and kill other animals in the name of science and the selfish preservation of our own species? Especially when there are alternative methods available to us that don’t require the death of innocent animals.

In conclusion, I don’t agree with big game hunting because statistics show that non lethal nature viewing benefits more than simply killing animals for money. Trophy hunting can be hurtful to the overall population of a species. For example, African lions are becoming an endangered species. Every year, approximately 600 lions are killed by trophy hunters. Lions, definitely adult males, are seen as prized kills because of how large and beautiful they are. When adult male lions are killed, the destabilization of the lion’s pride can cause more deaths.

Why is trophy hunting not conservation? Trophy hunting can hurt the overall population of a variety of species, and trophy hunting can be linked to poaching. Humans have been hunting on this planet for over two million years. Our ancestors used complex hunting techniques to ambush and kill antelopes, gazelles, and other large animals dated back to times before Christ. People all around the world still carry on the tradition, but the view on hunting is not the same as it was back then. The world is so industrialized, and people think hunting is cruel and useless because you can buy meat at grocery stores. But in reality, it is the reason the wildlife they see are not extinct. Everyday thousands of animals are brutally murdered by people that participate in the recreational activity that is hunting. Hunting is an activity that involves a person attempting to kill or trap an animal. Hunting is mainly done to animals in the wildlife and often in cases are used for food, clothing, recreation or trade. In my opinion hunting is morally wrong.
