To put this on equal terms, think one day you and your family are taking a leisurely stroll down the park. While walking down the spark another person randomly tries to kill you. But, no one but your mom is wounded with a poisoned wound without an antidote. Frighten you would not be able to know or think straight with the sight of someone dear to you dying right in front of your eyes. Now if you would please take that picture and put it in terms of an animal being hunted by another species far more advanced, without a way to protect themselves. Is it really morally right to kill another living thing for sport? Especially when the animal involved is on the endangered species list, to be fair, it is on the endangered species list for a reason because it is on the verge of becoming extinct. So let me ask you again why should anybody think it's more to hunt and kill animals that are endangered or simply in our backyards. it is morally wrong to continue trophy hunting as a Leisure activity when endangered animals are …show more content…
This is because, one, simply put, in our modern day Society trophy hunting or hunting in general is not needed, to include endangered animals Within the game hunting will also affect their overall environment, and trophy hunting is overall an inhumane
More than a million different kinds of animals inhabit the earth. The exact number is not known, for new kinds are continually being discovered. They live in the seas, from the surfaces down to the black depths where no ray of sunlight penetrates. Animals can be domesticated or left in the wild where they truly belong. However, as time passed by, nowadays, animals are endlessly being exploited and fought for around the globe. Different opinions from different countries and races have divided to defend to defend their views and make a stand. This issue about the animals’ welfare should be taken more seriously until we find the right answers.
Big game trophy hunting is flat out one of the worst kind of violations you can commit as I personally see it. Knowing that humans kill animals just to show off or either claiming it as a "sport" is truly a sad situation going on. Big game trophy hunting should be banned because it is an inhumane and dangerous practice, they can possibly be killing endangered species, and wildlife populations immensely begin plummeting. Moreover what people must understand is that animals deserve to live just like us humans
More than ever before, our planet is one filled with meat eaters. In fact, the average American consumes 270.7 pounds of meat per year. And, as one might have guessed, the question of where this food set before them on the table came from is often unregarded or ignored altogether. As more media forms commercialize extremely unhealthy versions of double cheeseburgers and meat lover’s supremes, the consumer’s demand for meat spikes up and companies in the food industry are faced with the ethical dilemma of benefiting themselves, their companies, increasing profits...and doing right by the animals- who without, they would not even be where they are today. Needless to say that animal rights and the humane treatment of their precious lives have been disregarded. Why do we, as a
Over the last couple hundred years, this world has expanded beyond its horizons and the new equipment and technology has allowed humans to advance in many areas, but has also damaged the basic ethics and morals of some. Today on television, one will see the over dramatized body spray commercials or the famous celebrity advertising their most favorable shampoo and stating its claims, but what most do not know is that a couple or couple hundred, animals were killed to approve, by law, of that product. This act is called animal testing, and its method is used in many companies for their products to be released. I do not agree with this practice simply because it harms innocent animals for products that we do not need to survive or remain with. I believe animal testing harms and tortures, innocent and helpless animals, by containing them in tight spaces, with chemicals drenched on their skin for several hours to see how they might react or the effects to analyze what worked and what did not work. My claim on this topic is that animal testing should be not be legal in any country or required for products to sell because I feel that their are alternative ways and I see many
There are hunters all over the world that use the sport as more than just enjoyment and a goal to get a trophy. Over 200 million animals are killed every year from hunting for the purpose of food and land protection. Farmers who grow corn and vegetables need to kill animals that eat the precious
At this time, my fiancé and I cannot have children, so we purchased a puppy. Not some cute tiny toy poodle, not some little pug, a little pit bull puppy. He was all white at birth. I have never owned a pit bull myself, I was raised around them though as family pets. I never knew it would be so excruciating to train this devil. I am not a believer in corporal punishment, I do not believe in animal abuse at all. I have a cage for him only during my absence, or he is in trouble. It is open for him to also lay in whenever he so chooses to. My puppy’s name is Ghost (because he is white). He was not hard to house train at all. In fact, I like to think he trained himself to “go” outside. He is very playful. I just cannot get him to STOP chewing
With this said I put this question to you. What gives us the right, as animals, to brutally abuse and kill other animals in the name of science and the selfish preservation of our own species? Especially when there are alternative methods available to us that don’t require the death of innocent animals.
In conclusion, I don’t agree with big game hunting because statistics show that non lethal nature viewing benefits more than simply killing animals for money. Not only that, but they kill the animal, only taking the parts they want and leaving the rest to rot. To kill an innocent creature for bragging rights is simple
Trophy hunting can be hurtful to the overall population of a species. For example, African lions are becoming an endangered species. Every year, approximately 600 lions are killed by trophy hunters. Lions, definitely adult males, are seen as prized kills because of how large and beautiful they are. When adult male lions are killed, the destabilization of the lion’s pride can cause more deaths.
Why is trophy hunting not conservation? Trophy hunting can hurt the overall population of a variety of species, and trophy hunting can be linked to poaching. Although trophy hunting can cause a horrendous amount of damage to several species, it is needed to keep some species of animal from destroying resources like farm land.
The poor, shivering animals huddled against the corner of their prison cage, attempting to sleep, but kept awake due to the never-ending pain in their fragile heads and weak body. Any minute they know they'll have to, once again, face the torture of being strapped down to wires and small cups attached to their bellies, or the electrical shocks transported straight to their brains. They moan with pain but have trouble because the vocal chords have been removed so the screams dont disturb the scientists. They tremble with fear, sensing their fate, hoping it'll end. Fortunately, it will; the scientists will behead them, removing the brains to study and collect
Is the killing of animals wrong? This is an issue that is currently being argued. In the world there are people who kill animals to eat them while there are others that feel that it is inhumane to kill defenseless animals. There are many factors over which animals are killed. For example, animals that are suffering due to an illness, animals that have shown to be dangerous around us, for food, and to maintain the animal’s population balanced. Some people have argued that killing animals for food is not the only way to feed ourselves, since we produce vegetation. These people think that animals should have the same rights as humans. People feel this way because they feel that animals feel everything that we feel, such as pain, loss,
Buzzle: Hunting Pros and Cons. Last but never least, sport hunting should be banned due to the fact that it causes the endanger and extinction of animal species. “One glaring negative of hunting for sport is over hunting. This occurs when hunters kill too many of a species, threatening their survival.” (Life123). Species become endangered when they are over hunted, and if hunters take it too far, the species will no longer exist. “…there are many animals that have been over-hunted and brought to near extinction, one example being the American Buffalo. Another example was the over-killing of the Cougar. Although this animal was hunted to protect cattle from being attacked, it led to this species nearly becoming extinct.” (Buzzle) The substandard thing about species becoming extinct is that they might not reappear until millions of years later. Imagine how long that would
Humans have been hunting on this planet for over two million years. Our ancestors used complex hunting techniques to ambush and kill antelopes, gazelles, and other large animals dated back to times before Christ. People all around the world still carry on the tradition, but the view on hunting is not the same as it was back then. The world is so industrialized, and people think hunting is cruel and useless because you can buy meat at grocery stores. But in reality, it is the reason the wildlife they see are not extinct. Harvesting game not only benefits the hunter with the meat, but also the land, the wildlife, and controls the game population; therefore, without it wildlife would starve, and land would not be managed.
Everyday thousands of animals are brutally murdered by people that participate in the recreational activity that is hunting. Hunting is an activity that involves a person attempting to kill or trap an animal. Hunting is mainly done to animals in the wildlife and often in cases are used for food, clothing, recreation or trade. In my opinion hunting is morally wrong.
